I'm tired. I am substituting a lot because I want quartz countertops to go with my new flooring, but I usually spread it out so that I work 2-3 days a week.  I will have worked 5 straight this week alone.  A friend's young son has the flu, and she keeps having to be out.  I don't mind helping, but I am tired.

Meanwhile, I have a calendar to make on Shutterfly by Sunday to take advantage of a free code.  I need at least 3 free codes before the season is over so I don't want to waste this one.  I can't do it at school because I am not allowed on their network.  So guess what I will be doing on Saturday?

I had the opportunity to work my side gig for a few hours tomorrow without bothering with my real job at all, and get paid the same. But because I am all over the place, I goofed and did not tell my real job that I would be working my side gig tomorrow, so I have to go to my real job tomorrow for at least a few hours, and then go work my side gig. Which means a lot of driving, because I will need to drive all the way back home from my real job, and change clothes and then drive some more to go work my side gig. I wear at least business casual clothes for my side gig, and I wear whatever to my real job, because I get dirty and risk tearing my clothes while I’m working my real job. I dare not wear “nice” clothes to my real job.

I can’t be upset with anybody but myself about it, but it sure would’ve been nice to not have to fool with my real job at all tomorrow. 

Mister asked me last week if what I do for my side gig is something I could do full time, even if it is for another employer. I explained to him that the other people that do the same thing full time when I’m doing my side gig (my “competitors” so to speak) are required by their employers to have college degrees and some other stuff that I don’t have.

I take what I do with my side gig seriously, but honestly, I wouldn’t want the pressure some of the other folks have, with it being full time and year ‘round jobs for them, and part of what they earn being something like commission. Because I am not expected to know every single thing that someone might ask me, I have a support team to ask and refer questions I can’t answer to, and they also are responsible for showing up to help me when something I am working is more than one person can reasonably manage. And since I make the same money either way, I like the freedom of just being able to give people important information and letting them make their own decisions about what they feel is best for them, instead of me feeling pressure because what they decide affects my pockets. 

Even if I suck at what I do, I would make the same money. But I don’t suck at it, and my boss leans on me because we started shining and getting awards once I came on board and added to the team. I am not being cocky when I say that, it’s fact, supported by numbers in the area I work in.

Can't find the stuffing one. Bob tried last year and it SUCKED. So dry and way too much sage.

I think I may have given it to him as a hint.

I don't care for my grandma's either to be honest.

I like my SIL sausage cranberry stuffing. I'm toying with making some for myself. Leftovers!

Then I got the chess pie recipe. I'm going to modify it by browning the butter and adding flaky salt. Worst case it doesn't work. It's the cheapest pie on earth to make.

I found some more recipes in a notebook my great grandma kept I may try for Christmas.

Are Heavenly salad and ambrosia the same thing? It seems almost like the same thing.

Then there are nut balls. Can't wait to make Swheaty balls jokes all night.

They'll have to approve another one.    They'll probably fight about it (quite literally lately) and it will go to the bitter end or maybe it will shutdown, who knows. This isn't anything new, there have been lots of shutdowns and near shutdowns in the past 40 years.

I think you can leave an honest review, but great doctor and mismanaged mediocre office staff (at best) is par for the course it seems like anymore so why waste the time. 

I'm sure it isn't that easy, and that it really is an issue with # of clients, insurance, etc but it is so frustrating being a patient on the receiving end especially when you've been with them a long time and seen things run better.

Exactly what you are doing.  If you leave an honest review, you risk having more problems and they don't seem to use the review to improve performance.  I trashed the review request I got today from the faucet manufacturer because it was not going to be pretty.  They really don't want to see zero stars and you are a bunch of losers.

So, last night, Mister asked me to watch a movie with him in the den. It was a bad movie, that was supposed to be a comedy/horror movie. I think the title was Blackness, but I could be wrong. Either way, don’t waste your time trying to find it.

So the movie was an excuse for Mister to sleep in our bed for the first time in several days, if not a week. BIG mistake. Idk if it is because of, or just in addition to our current relationship issues, but us sleeping in the same bed when I have to go to work the next day, is a very bad idea for me. I have been awake since 1am. And I spent most of the hours after that, elbowing and kicking him, to move back on his side of the bed, or turn over and hopefully stop snoring so fucking loud. But I am the one and the only one that acts a fool when I do manage to sleep. NOT! 

We agreed a while back, to sleep in separate rooms certain nights of the week. After the agreement, he only did it the first night. But last week, after I got mad at him, he slept in another bedroom until last night. I’m not trying to kick him out of our bedroom permanently, but if my gold digging ass needs to make all the money I can, I need the best chances of getting some sleep as possible, to set me up to be able to do that, even if that means he has to sleep in another bed in the house.

Happy Birthday Soup and Stew, hope it was a good one.

DD and I lucked out and got an appointment today. We both got our hair cut. The beautician called us back to say she was going to have time so we hurried and got up to the city. We both got cuts, but I told her no issue in coming up Monday afternoon to get my roots touched up. DD and I were talking and I asked what she thought of me going white headed. She said no mom I think that would not look good on you. Honestly, I think she is right. 

We than went to Olive Garden and had a late lunch and brought hubs a dinner home. He said his was so so.

Also went to TJ Maxx, I found a cute jacket to go with 2 outfits. It is made different and I really like the way its cut, it has a small furry collar, its like a suit jacket. It says the fabric is washable but looks like wool, its a small check.  I have some beautiful wool fabric downstairs I need to make a pair of lined slacks and jacket out of.  I need to get my butt in gear around here instead of working crossword puzzles. No future in that and doesn't accomplish anything.

I also found a nice purse, all leather. It's smaller than the bag I take on the plane but larger than a regular purse. I can get some of our pills and a book and items in it. The other nice leather bag, I bought to take on the plane last year is just too heavy on its own. It is made like a back pack but just to heavy.   Hope this works better, I'm hoping to carry only it. I paid $100 for it but it was regularly priced at $300. It's very well made.  I really need to try and sell some of my bags. I have all types and all colors, used to have shoes that matched when I worked, but I don't need all of those anymore. I must have given 20 away a couple years back.

Darn I'm having so much trouble watching TV. Our headsets quit working and without them its very hard to watch telly at night. I could go downstairs but the big TV down there is under our bedroom. Maybe it won't be loud in there now that hubs put the ceiling in that room. I know its warmer down there with the end rooms shut off and all the outside walls insulated now. I think he insulated the wall in the one storeroom too. He just didn't get the other one done yet.I am really having issues with motivation. I cannot believe this year is almost gone and what little I have done this year. It just whizzed by.

I have been buying the small boxes of frozen veggies and when I get hungry in the evening nuking one of those for a snack, just ate my last one.

Hubs just gets sleepy earlier and earlier. He wakes up at 3 or 4AM and can't go back to sleep. Son does the same, they are both very early risers, so of course are tired at night. But both are used to getting up very early for work. They always have.

I'm trying to watch a show called Risen about a meteorite explosion, but having a hard time with the sound, may have to give up and try another. We have a sound bar we can hook up, but hubs is not to lift and things need to be moved and lifted for him to do so. I'm also going to make an appointment with an audiologist and see where I am on hearing. Also get my ears cleaned and see if that helps and go from there.

DH finally got his next Covid shot scheduled.  Slots are getting full up again, & he couldn't get in until next week, but that's better than nothing.


The dentist is going to get rich just off of our family this month.  All of us have November appointments, but I'm the queen since I'm getting another crown...

I asked Mister this evening “If I called you for a HVAC job, and told you that exactly half of my house maintains the temperature on the thermostat, but as soon as you enter the hallway to the other half of the house, you can feel the change in temperature, what would you do”.

He started talking about some mumbo jumbo that I was not interested in hearing, and then he got mad because I insisted on asking how he would fix it if it I was a customer. Well, he doesn’t like working on his own shit. Even if it means things aren’t comfortable at your own home? Yeah, he’d rather pay somebody else to fix what he could try to figure out and fix himself. Ummmm…. Okay. Well Imma need you to do that and and pay somebody to fix it. Because besides the other 3 bedrooms, I am tired of MY bedroom being a noticeably different temperature than the other side of the house. And even though you can feel an immediate difference when you first step into the hall that leads to the bedrooms, it is not just a “feeling”. There is a thermostat in our bedroom that proves that the temperature in there is different from the rest of the house. He knows it, because he is the one that put the thermostat in our bedroom in the first place.

Lord, give me strength, PLEASE.

My energy has been crap lately as my sinus infection has been draining and most of the office is sick and coughing. Boss wasn't in one day and may have/had the flu. I'm hoping whatever I have is usual sinus stuff or at worst a glancing nod to seasonal flu. I'm lucky if I have the energy to make dinner and I hope perhaps this weekend I can actually accomplish something.

Hang in there. My bedroom is always colder this time of year just because of where the thermostat is and apartment layout. Do you have heaters or other things you can use to improve the temperature for yourself? I just keep the door open before bed to warm it up a bit. 

I'm pretty lazy with computer stuff at home even though that is what I did for work years ago. Some of us have that weakness so I get not wanting to work on your own stuff. Ask him for a couple names to call and just do it.

I'm the same anymore. I have only done a couple months of my books for the LLC this year. I sorted receipts down and matched to statements. Than I found a bunch more to match up. I need to do all this before I leave for the 7th and I've done nothing else. Same with DD. I'm just sick of dealing with it for so many years. I will have to MAKE myself do this. Once I tackle it and get busy I will do it but getting started anymore, I just don't wanta!. I'm betting others feel the same way. When You come home, you just don't want to do it for yourself at times. And no, not saying this is a good thing.

I tuned into 2 or 3 shows tonight, never could get into any of them so finally turned telly off. It's 12, will mess with my crossword puzzle for a bit and hit the sack. I need to get to work tomorrow and also need to cook, sigh.

Good luck. I'll be interested to see how you feel once you have your financial resources back up to snuff. I know for me feeling financial insecurity is a huge stressor and when I felt that way my partner couldn't even breathe right. I wonder if anything will look different to you with that lifted.

I find it irritating when CSR’s ask me to review their service and then tell me if they get anything less than a 4 star review they can’t get a raise. To me that means no one wants an honest review and the survey is meaningless. I don’t waste my time

Good morning, industrious invisipeeps, making form and function out of chaos. Welcome to Friday again. I hope this day offers you respite from thankless toil but rewards you in any way that pleases you, including ice cream if you will.

Yesterday kind of got lost in the shuffle. It turned out the DD's provider, an NP, was backed up and she and therefore I waited for an hour and a half for her appointment. I did manage to snag some 5 x 7 sleeves for the cards DH has made, for tomorrow. And got the kitchen cleaned again. DH spilled some Rice Krispies on the stove top, so need to clean that up. Some days are like that. He'd do it, but I might as well. I did get the cover on the a/c. I see so much to get organized before next Thursday. One side benefit of hosting a holiday is it forces me to get Stuff cleaned up, which I otherwise let slide.

Today will be warm, broaching 60, with rain probably tonight. Foggy right now, will see if that's still the case when we are down at the beach. This was yesterday's dawn:
