I am apparently made of molasses today. Can’t focus on anything, took all the migraine drugs, just want to sleep.
Babysitter has a probable class conflict next semester that means she can’t do pickup two days a week. I don’t think we can accommodate that but at the same time I really don’t want to have to train a new babysitter You’d think DS woukd be aging out by now but he’s not quite there yet.

Hubs is restless, he went to the grocery this morning. He has to have something to do and he is picking up pills too.
He is not allowed to lift over 5 pounds yet and he is being good, but I know he would like to be doing more.
DD and I may go to the city today, no reason, just to get her out and about. She needs to do something besides lay in bed all the time. I'm hoping if we get to Washington we can find things to do. She said she will go out on the pontoon boat. She likes it and feels safe, she was afraid of my other boat.
Maybe we will see what movie is on and go for lunch. She needs a haircut bad will have to make an appointment. But than I do too and I need color. May do that in 2 separate visits.
And now I have to think about what to cook for dinner, sigh.
Ok, back to laundry

Dh and I almost got divorced last night because he argued that grapes can and should go in Watergate salad. Maraschino cherries are allowed but my grandmother's version does not include them. Some people put nuts in it but that's pushing it. It's whipped cream, pistachio pudding, marshmallows and crushed pineapple. That is IT. I just had to google Watergate salad. That has to be one of the most revolting concoctions I have ever heard of ... and I grew up in the land of haggis! When ds was 2 he was so excited about dsis' "green salad" -- that's what my family always called watergate salad. All 20 people are staring at him when he finally got to try it and he was so disgusted by it. Its burned into my memory. I never liked it either.

I just had a blueberry yogurt with pecans for dessert tonight. Now I'm munching on some raisins, can't eat many though lots of sugar in them. We Just finished watching our nightly episodes of Gotham, hubs and I are watching together so neither of us are allowed to watch ahead. It's a pretty raw show, I would not want young kids to watch it. Good meeting with DD's reps with the state and DD is going out with her behavior therapist next Tuesday. She actually came in and talked with them for a bit. Before that she had been in a mood. We enjoy having them, very nice people. I'm wondering if any of you that live around Olympia, Wa know of a reputable garage builder. His neighborhood is built out so no one really building anything and no one he knows to ask. I'm going to ask our park manager, she had a good recommendation for a furnace installer. Our son is going to get one built if he can find someone. We need that done to move a bunch of our tools up there. It got to 67 here this afternoon, the breeze was cool but still this is Nov, so wow. They are talking 50 to 60% chance of rain in the next few days, I sure hope so. It's getting desperate here. The best place to find people like this is at an upscale flooring or wall covering company. When I had quartz put in, the designer recommended our finish carpenter (who needed to uninstall and install the kitchen cupboards) and the tiler. The design store where we replaced our shades recommended the painter that we brought in to paint the inside of the house. Both of these mainly work with high end construction. That means, not Home Depot or Lowe’s. Our finish carpenter works on high level homes. Tiler the same. Since both stores both contract out for work AND are suppliers for high end homes, they know the better trades people. TD found the person to do our siding by asking on NextDoor. You have to hold your nose, the one here is particularly toxic, but you can get good info there.

Out NextDoor is very helpful to get recommendations. Not toxic at all (or only a few responses when a post gets a lot and I wouldn’t classify as toxic but annoying)

Now I make ambrosia salad, which I also do not eat, but everybody else LOVES and requests for every get together. It is grape friendly, but I do not add grapes. I do make my own cranberry sauce, as I like it fresh and on the tart side. I have also made cranberry fluff, which everyone loved.

I've had a problem with leg cramps. I started putting a pillow under my knees for part of the night. It has been working. This morning I didn't have the pillow under my knees and started to get a cramp in my right calf. I put that leg immediately on the pillow and it went away. I suspect the cramps are due to water leaving my feet during the night. I regularly eat mustard and drink pickle juice to stop the cramps before they start.

True to the Watergate Salad is not the hill to "die" on. Just add the grapes or put grapes in his half.

Not toxic at all (or only a few responses when a post gets a lot and I wouldn’t classify as toxic but annoying) The one in our area has a lot of beggars on it asking for donations. I don't mind people asking for kids clothes or hard to find baby formula but they ask for money.

One of many many "salads" that I am not sure how they earned that title. You can cut down on the sugar by using no sugar pudding and you can make your own whip cream. Either omit or half the sugar you use there. My grandmother would make her own whip cream. I don't want to so Cool Whip it is.

Heavy whipping cream is essential, IMO.

Try magnesium pills. Magnesium is in my daily supplements. I will take additional potassium when they are particularly deep in the muscle and bad. My 3 x a week supplements have potassium in them. I also take calcium twice a day.

A friend recommended this remedy for age/sun spots on hands/face/elsewhere. It is Crest Toothpaste. I have noticed lightening in 3 days. I did take a photo so I could compare before/after.

You have good reason(s) to not be in a good place right now, Pink Cashmere . It sucks. Let yourself be cranky, cantankerous and put out by the shit going on in your life. Then maybe you can respond in a way that works for you. I hope so anyway. Rooting for you. Can you ask to have your hours changed back? Thank you for rooting for me. I can ask, just like any of us can ask for anything lol. The answer will be no. Our union has been working on it for me and all the other people whose times they changed. The answer is no. The odd thing is that a few people simply ignored the changed hours they were supposed to have started working, and so far nothing has been done about it. So it looks like I could’ve just played crazy and waited for them to say or do something about it. Management where I work is more unorganized than I’ve ever seen since I’ve been there. They’ve never been all that sharp, but it is unbelievable now. When I say they are crazy, here’s a tidbit…. The second in command in my building was under investigation a few months ago, for calling a male employee who is openly gay, a f@$$0+ and a s/&&%. On the workroom floor, in front of other employees. This manager has been known for screaming and cursing at employees for years, but they promoted her to her current position anyway, earlier this year. As far as we know, nothing came of the investigation, even though there were witnesses, including a supervisor that told the truth, in a written statement, about what he saw and heard. I’ve heard that he got between them and tried, to no avail, to get the manager away from the employee, but she kept ducking and running around the supervisor to get back in the employee’s face, yelling and screaming more insults, because the employee fired back and said her husband likes it, and she lost it. Out of all of that, the only thing I am certain about is that she initially called him those derogatory names, and there were witnesses. I wasn’t there, but everybody isn’t going to tell the same lie, or even admit they witnessed something, especially when it is going against a member of management, who could retaliate against them for being truthful about witnessing bad behavior. The manager is still in the same position of authority over the employee she screamed those vile things at. How is that okay? Imo, it’s not, but that’s how it goes where I work. That is just one example of what I mean when I say it is a toxic environment. It’s not as bad on the day shift, but it is horrible on the evening and night shift. The manager above works a mix of the day and evening shifts, but that particular incident happened with an employee that works the evening shift. I have lots of stories, about things that you wouldn’t believe goes on in a place of business. That is the kind of shit I don’t want to deal with now that my hours overlap with the evening shift. It’s a lot of wild and crazy shit that goes on on those shifts, the employees are crazy and the supervisors and managers are crazy, and I want nothing to do with any of it. I just want to go to work, do my job and get the hell away from there when it’s time for me to go home, without all the extra shit. This employee needs to retain an attorney yesterday.

In case anyone was wondering, Macy is fine. She has another lipoma which is no big deal. She just seems to be getting lumpy as she ages. Her lumps are expensive! This one cost me $200 today, but I'd rather pay the money to find out that she's fine than not pay it and it end up being a problem.

We had Harriet’s removed while she was sedated for a tooth cleaning. That tacked only a little extra onto the cleaning bill, mostly from the pathology we had done on the lump. I did breathe a sigh of relief when it came back only being a lipoma.

I actually see blue sky out today. I think this is the first time in about 3 weeks. Since it is clear, it’s cold though. Temps below freezing this morning.

Remember that I said I picked up a random contractor account that has nothing to do with trucking? Well, the other account manager that was handing it off was telling me what a nightmare the producer and his assistant are. I was fully prepared to go full on Vito Corleone on these guys. The assistant is actually quite pleasant. I haven't spoken to the producer yet. It must just be a personality clash. I'm never gonna get to earn my Wilette nickname at this rate.

I am intrigued by the cranberry fluff! I enjoy boiling the cranberries to magically make sauce but not a huge fan of eating it. Too lazy to sieve out the skins that ruin the texture…happily I can offload the lumpy stuff on the in laws.
My mother used to food process cranberries and oranges I think, which I liked okay.

I'm watching the news. They're trying to avert yet yet ANOTHER GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN. Why is it that the US is the only country with government shutdowns? I've never heard of it happening in any other country. Then I'm going to get my hair cut.
