Wilbur has been a shit today. He ran off with Gwen's leggings this morning.
Destroyed a dead rabbit and led DH in a chase around the yard.
Have yet to figure out why he has motor oil on his head.
Ate my brand new bookmark.
Now he's running rampant with his toys.
It really is like having a toddler. He'll be a year old in December.

I am having doctor or hospital applications ask now the gender at birth instead of anything else. Ok, off to the closing I go. I survived last night but was 3AM before I could sleep. What a miserable night. Sure going to be way more careful on what I eat again. Processed foods are just not for me. I need to cook or be very very careful what I eat. The closer to fresh I can get, the better off I am. Were the Tamales, Mexican Tamales, made with Masa? I can't eat anything with corn in i anymore. It gives me horrible diarrhea. Also, no corn tortillas, Corn meal, Corn Syrup, Popcorn etc. Come to find out it is on the Low Fod Map diet I was just given by the GI doctor I went to. I had not question she was on the right track, because I had already identified many of the foods on the list as problematic for me. www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/fodmap-diet-what-you-need-to-knowwww.idealnutrition.com.au/fodmap-food-list/My Grand Nephew is doing better. My niece reported on the Caring Bridge site that B was awake from 4 am yesterday to 5 am this morning and was pretty upset that he could not have a bottle. He took 2.5 oz with the speech pathologist and is cleared to bottle feed from now on. His NG tube can be removed as soon as he can continue to take full feeds and oral meds. He is also weaned down to .5 liters of oxygen from 2.0 liters yesterday. He no longer is on any sedation or pain meds besides Tylenol. She hopes they will go to a step down unit tomorrow. This was his second heart surgery. He is 3.5 months old. Mom is going back to work (she is a nurse) and Dad will stay home with Baby B for the next 2 weeks. Thanks for all your prayers. They are made with masa, so lots of corn. I don't know if the fact that they're steamed in corn husks bothers you also.

Babysitter called off sick today, and things actually went great. DS swam for an hour and a half, then showered ate and completed his homework etc with time to spare and minimal complaining I even went over and got the neighbor dog to play with PP for a bit. They are so funny! After a half hour or so PP was barking at her to play and she was ignoring him so I went to take her back home-she saw the leash in my hand, whined, then started right back in wrestling with PP so I couldn’t get the leash on She’s such a little stinker

My little dog apparently killed and ate half of a little squirrel, then came in and threw it all up in the recliner. It's a really good thing she's cute. Also, I love squirrels.

There are only a tiny handful of people blocked on my devices, but I had to block another one. Some may remember me talking about a neighbor I took to the grocery store for a couple of years. For many reasons, I stopped last year. She is in her eighties, very hard of hearing, and legally blind but refuses to make any adjustments to her lifestyle. She called me at 1:30 this MORNING to ask about a helicopter flying overhead. She thought it was 1:30 in the afternoon as night and day seemingly look the same to her now. So many have and are helping her, but she refuses to live without her two dogs so no one has been able to find a living situation for her. My sleep is poor at best, and being jerked awake at 1:30 in the morning by my phone is not something I can do again for her.

We had the inflatable pirate castle island (swimline/amazon) and the replacement one bit the dust a couple weeks ago. I just noticed they have a pink/purple/ silver/rainbow unicorn castle version If I order in the next 4 hours it can be here for the last foreseeable nice swimming day for the next couple weeks…

4th grandchild is due on Feb 14th (DS and DDIL 2nd). After first ultrasound DDIL was put in high risk category for placenta previa. All kinds of issues with that. Today she had follow up and all was normal! Yay!

Waiting impatiently for the first hoops game of the season to start. I want to see what kind of team we have this year! I am so ready for basketball. Colorado has itself a great team! We just beat the #1 ranked and defending national champions 92-78. It was not an upset. We are a force to be reckoned with. Shaquille O'Neal just visited the locker room. Think they are having fun? Our Danish player had a career high for 3's and her dad had flown in from Denmark. He will fly home tomorrow. He will do this several times this season.

If you have an Ollie's around, they have lampshades and pretty nice ones for decent prices. Check them out.
Today went pretty good. I have been very careful with what I have eaten and not eaten much either. I tried coffee this afternoon and I think that is going to be a thing of the past too. So I had some hot tea, it was ok, I need to get use to it.
I'm making some jello for tomorrow. I have gone through this for a long long time with digestive issues. They come and go but I'm more careful most of the time. I let my guard down and eat things I should not and than I pay.
We have ozempic problems, can't get it. They said DD's pharmacy has 40 some waiting and the get 2 or 3 doses at a time, that is CVS. They said try Walmart, they transferred her scrip and they have a backlog of 50 and were getting 20 in. Doesn't sound good. I have a few extra and will share for DD than we are both out. Not sure what happens. The doc said they would try to find a substitute.

I guess it was a regional thing, but it always makes me wonder exactly what someone means when I hear that word. In my house Tamales are made with Masa and wrapped in corn husks though. I could actually eat my grandmother’s tamales without getting sick as long as we make sure not to use ingredients with HFCS. I would rather eat the tamales my MIL makes if they did not make me deathly ill.

You can set your sleep hours and then only people in your favorites can ring your phone at night.

Good morning, invisipeeps crackling with life. Welcome to Tuesday. I hope your day goes smoothly and bears good news that you've been waiting for. Yesterday was kind of crazy busy, preparing for the drop off today of items and pics to go in the show that starts on Saturday and running around otherwise. Today will be more of the same, I think. We will ready for a show on Thursday just in case. Then we'll see what happens. It's raining right now, lightly. When I have some down time, maybe in January, I should practice my handwriting. It's pretty much illegible even when I take my time and work it. For my signature, no matter, but for other things like cards it's a problem. Maybe I should return to trying script. For decades now I've printed; it just looks like script. Yesterday's dawn was lovely, serene in shades of sherbert:

stunning sunrise, finnime!
last night, I called it a night when I felt myself starting to doze on the couch. got the pups out for last outs, and was in bed at 9pm. I'm going to try to be better about this, bc I slept all the way through til almost 4...waking up only bc I heard the damn Teams alert on my laptop out in the kitchen. 🤦♀️.
I'm farting around on my phone now, but I'm going to get up and log in to work soon. today's supposed to be gorgeous out, and I need to block out some midday time to play with the goobers. yesterday just sucked the life out of all of us. 😕

hugs, ners. well, I looked at my calendar for today, and it's ugly. someone(s) booked a pair of meetings over the lunchtime block I have in there for pup adventures, that's shitty. at least I'm not double or triple booked today, although the conflicts would make my day a lot shorter. lol.. anyway, the last thing listed is a 2pm call, so I'll just call it a day after that one. supposedly the rain will be over here by 10am, so the extra time will help things dry out by the time we get out there.

Change of plans. I guess DD1 and DH are going to see Hamilton during Thanksgiving break. I'll add that to the list of things to do/take care of.
She is pretty excited.

My manager comes in tomorrow for a local site visit. Previous manager at the site sent an email yesterday in an effort to avoid the visit. Stated a bunch of things, which I later proved incorrect via screenshots, and he doubled down - even though his first and second lines of his retort contradicted each other. So my manager scheduled a 3PM meeting with me to discuss. I knew it was going to be contentious between old manager and myself anyway, but he showed his hand early. Plus he is a keyboard warrior and would never DARE to say such things to your face. Little does he know that my manager's manager directed him to take the gloves off. So today will be spent documenting and logging every dirty deed that I know and creating a list of complicated questions that old manager can not answer (because he zero knowledge of the data system) or BS his way through.

Went to see the grandkids this past weekend and watched a play two of them were in. They did an awesome job and now will be going to a regional competition. YDGD kept saying “I love you Nana. You’re the best!” Just warmed my heart!

Still flying high after last night's big win. We play a nobody team tomorrow evening and a decent team on Saturday. When I was going to the games in person in Boulder, they didn't have a lot of technology with their scoreboard. That has all changed. There is now a fancy scoreboard that can do all kinds of fancy things. Last night the powers that be showed the women's game on the fancy scoreboard. The men's game ended before the women's and the fans for the men's team actually stayed to watch the end of the women's game. The overrated chant came for Boulder. The set up for this venue in Vegas was strange. The radio announcers kept saying there was nobody in there and they were shocked. Just before team intros, the doors were opened and people were running to their seats because they didn't want to miss any of the game. The game was on national television so I would have thought the doors would have opened in time for people to get to their seats.

I feel lots better today. I had a bowl of jello and hot tea for breakfast, just perfect. I will add some cereal likely for lunch. All DD wanted was yogurt, she is on a yogurt kick for awhile, its good for her so fine with me.
I think I've lost a few pounds, LOL, but they will be back..
Tamales never bother me, likely some ingredient they have added I can't tolerate. I have a lot of issues with different types of oils. I make tamales periodically and they are sooooo good. But its a lot of work to do. I will make at least 5 dozen when I do.
I also don't eat those frozen pizzas or things like that. DD and hubs thinks they are great. One of my favorite foods is just frozen peas, buttered. I eat lots of things like that and will again.
Hubs went to town this morning, he didn't work the election this year. So not sure where he is wondering around but that's ok, he needs out and about for awhile.
It has been 75 here and still no rain. I would hate to see a fire started around here, it would be deadly.
