Catching up on some fluids after a hard trail race this morning. Uneven grass-covered ground, asphalt, sand, dirt, gravel and concrete. Made my brain hurts, but I am proud I did it.

Rewarded myself and went to lunch with a friend.  Tried country fried turkey for the first time. Dang, where has this been all my life

Earlier this week we decided our kitty needed to be an inside kitty.  There are lots of reasons for this.  Mostly I was afraid she would get lost, or she would get hit by a car.  I wanted her to be safe, so in she stays.

Of course she absolutely hates it.  I need to find another cat tower to put by a window.  She has a small one now, but we only feed her on it.  DH keeps sending me catio ads, but I can't figure out how this would work with our house.

Anyone have a catio?

My last story for today.  Earlier this week the city's code enforcement officer was on our street.  One of my neighbors is a hoarder.  She does not live in the house but she keeps her cats there and has junk all over the place.  The city has cited her several times.

Another neighbor has had a horse trailer in the front yard for years.  It is filled with all kinds of junk, and there is stuff all over the front porch and tucked inside the flower beds.

So the city did cite the hoarder lady - again - but also cited the other neighbor.  This is the first time the horse trailer neighbor has been cited.

I was working outside today and didn't hear my phone going off.  When I took a break, I saw that the horse trailer neighbor had been texting me.  She asked me if (my DH's name) would like to come over and get the dead possum out of her horse trailer?  So I ask DH and he declines.  I tell her.  Okay, well I have trash bags.  Okay but he doesn't want to do it.

A few minutes later she texts me again.  Um I hope no one poisoned it, cause it was living in my horse trailer and it's covered in maggots.  What should I do with it?  I said well you can put it in a trash bag.  Okay.

A few minutes later.  I didn't put my mask on under after I had bagged the dead possum.  Do you think I might get sick?  I respond with well it's too late to do anything about that now.  Do you have asthma, or any other respiratory issues?  If you start feeling sick you could go to the doctor.  Oh okay.  I think I will take a shower.  That's a splendid idea.

I have had catios at 3 different places where I lived.  

I had let my first two cats roam and then tried to make them indoor cats.  Benjamin, in particular, hated it.  So the catio.  Benjamin spent most of the day on the catio.  He brought me gifts I would never have wanted--like his kills.  He always brought one grasshopper leg and left it under the dining room table.  He also preferred pooping in the dirt on the catio.  

Mine were all made by local handymen and worked with each house.

azucena  I sincerely hope bio dad is going to stay out of jail long enough to get BT the help she needs.  

I expect a Christmas card with all of the family and that means BT.  

My cards arrived yesterday so it is time to get them ready to mail.  Won't mail until at least December 1, but I will mail them

Getting close to my basketball team's game on ESPN+.  I am glad I tried to watch the Iowa game because I had to set the account up again for the free 6 months from Sirius and that took an entire quarter.  Not okay if it was our game.  

I'm having the memory pillow I had made out of mom's sweatshirt re-done as a memory bear.  The woman comes out here once a week so she is going to pick it up on Tuesday and bring it back the next Tuesday.  It looks likes the sweatshirt was just folded and filled with pillow shaped foam.  This woman has a physical store and I could see photos on the store's website.  Not as expensive as what I paid 5 years ago.  So that's a win.
