Well, I mostly made up for yesterday and got everything crossed off my weekend list except putting up the snow fence and cleaning out the fridge. I kind of did a half-assed job of some of it, including grocery shopping (when I saw the total was up to $167, I said screw it, I'm done and walked out without getting anything else), but it's better than nothing.

Oh wow, I'm sick at my stomach but good. We had tamales from Sams Club for dinner. They were really good the first few packages, hubs and I both know after Walmart gets done with manufacturers after a few times the quality gets worse and worse. Well they have already, I ate 2 tonight and they have made me sick. I won't buy anymore and I hope I make it through the evening without throwing up. Yes, its that bad. And I'm belching like crazy. I took some Nausene, it helped a little, we must be out of Tums.
I think I need to put a nightgown on instead of pants around my waist. It's really not the thing to do right now.
Well hopefully it gets better, yuck.

After bunnies we went to the gym, then the pool, then I went to my parents and helped my dad wash windows, and picked up groceries. I realized I hadn't even started my photo album yet so did that tonight. Not sure I can get it done by black Friday but hopefully.
Dsis hasn't done anything with her floor even though I bought all of the supplies for her to finish once I knew we wouldn't before my surgery. Which is what I expected but still frustrating. So probably Thanksgiving weekend I'll plan on finishing that up. I just have to keep up a little bit of momentum and we can get that done.

T2 is looking for a daytime job instead of nighttime. She had an application ask if she identifies as LGBTQ. I don't think they can do that. It also asked if she's a cis, trans, or nonbinary individual. I'm also thinking that's illegal. swamp

This is what I knew was coming.
Hubs said this evening, I'm mowing tomorrow but I cannot lift the garage door to get the mower out. Our other garages have door openers but the back one does not. He is going to move it to one when done that has an opener. I can tell you that door is heavy, its all I can do to get it up and generally have him do it. But I know I have to, if I don't he will be trying to do it. I knew this day was coming out here.
And now with being sick tonight I have a nose bleed started. Also I have to go to town tomorrow to close on another house we sold, but that is a good thing. And I have all our paperwork to do and the care of everything on my back plus more work now.
And then I will have to load the mower one day and go to the last rent house to mow as he won't be able to lift the tail gate on the trailer up and down. There is about 3 acres there and with it so dry I will have to use googles and a respirator as the dust and stuff kills my eyes and allergies. That is one heavy sucker too. I have been telling him for the last year, we were waiting too long to downsize. We should have sold this house before the rates went up, could have gotten a better price out of it.
Yes, all this is making me nervous. And I'm tired just thinking about it. I think we are going to fail healthwise before all this can be done. Son said he will probably have to come down, but he can only take off so long at a time. He said he might have to ask for family leave. But his wife is facing some health issues too. She has been trying to get it taken care of for over a year. And I think she may have to have surgery. As many of you know when it rains it pours.
I'm going to try and go to sleep. Going to sleep in my recliner for awhile, I don't think I can go to bed right now anyway. Have my waste basket, towel, and tissues here. So night all.

So there is a wooded area behind the new place. She said this morning around 3 am she heard this odd howl followed by the sound of puppies. She said it set off all the dogs in the complex including mine. I of course missed it because I sleep like the dead. Now I'm all paranoid thinking a coyote or wolf or something is out there.

Cooking is way over rated. I remember when DH and I would cook together and try out new meals weekly. It seems so quaint that we did that.
Why not still do it? You can include the kids. I think it would be fun.

Good morning, industrious invisipeeps, working on your homes and keeping order in your lives. I hope your Monday is tranquil and easy, a gentle introduction to the week. And that you do not step in any poop. Today I must finish preparing for drop off tomorrow at the arts center for their holiday show and marketplace. I can bring 4 pictures for display and some other small items--I'm sending counting books and calendars--for the marketplace. They will collect 40% commission so I need to set prices accordingly. Also this week DH discovered a city event that includes vendors. It's outdoors on Thursday. Need to find out more and get ready for that, too. I believe we're going to do it, but I'm unclear about logistics. More writing to get done. Need to find the arc in all this that I've written. And do a Costco run. We're out of milk and cream, and need to stock up on fruits. Yesterday was a good day all in all, except for disappointing Franklin the Dog at one point. I had not reset the clocks on the stove and DH had not reset his watch so when I was charging around getting things done before we went to the beach for sunset, DH commented that it was after 4. I got Franklin ready to go and we almost left the house when we realized that it was only a bit after 3. So, undo and redo. The sunset was a good one. Sunrise yesterday with a gull:

Those questions would be suspect on a job application for sure. They are on the check in questions for the ob/gyn office including your biological sex but they need to know to provide appropriate care.

Plus ages and stages of kids. We're in the dinner at 4pm or 8pm stage at least 4 nights a week and almost none of that is fun imo. Speaking of....I need to get my chicken in the crockpot.

Was it Instead of just checking male female but more ‘elaborate’ gender questions? I don't think they can ask if you're male or female, either. I have had to state that I am female on all the public sector jobs I have applied for. I do get to opt out of disclosing a disability (cancer is one, btw, even if treated) and whether or not I'm ex-military. Honestly, it makes sense. I've been waited on by retail staff that look and sound like a different gender than how they identify. I was really thankful for the nametag with pronouns. One of the teachers at the peanut's dojo transitioned very slowly. If it weren't for the head teacher calling them by their prefered name, I would have made a huge gaffe with referring to her as a him. Unless I know how you identify, I don't know how to refer to you. And gone are the days of relying on outward appearance to determine that. They is handy to use in these situations. Personally, it's easier for me to remember outwardly male looking Sara is a she, and I should refer to her as she over remembering to call everyone they. Using they for everyone for me is not that intuitive.

lol... soupandstew!
well, I'm up. it's Monday, and I already am over the work week. although, I got a chuckle - my boss's EU counterpart sent out an organizational introduction email this morning. a la "come meet our team!" for whatever the overall distribution. it's got org charts and everything! I'm still listed as specialist, not mgr, whatever. but, BUT! I'm still showing up as belonging to the downtown office, not the far-off suburban one. I'm saving this email lol....

There was a drop down that ask how you identify the options were: 1. Male 2. Female 3. Nobinary 4. Trans Male to Female 5. Trans Female to Male I don't think they can ask you that. Even if they could, why does it matter? How does that affect your ability to do the job? I told her to bail on that application. ETA: There was also an option not to identify. It also asked about ethnicity. Given this state is as red as they come, I don't like it. I told her I was tempted to submit an application as a cis het white males and one as a LGBTQ (particularly trans) POC and see if either gets a call for an interview.

Agreed. She showed it to me and I was like 😮 I told her if someone is using that information to vet employees, she doesn't want to work there.

I met a woman named Michael who got terrific responses to her job applications. When they called there was always some confusion, though.

I am having doctor or hospital applications ask now the gender at birth instead of anything else.
Ok, off to the closing I go.
I survived last night but was 3AM before I could sleep. What a miserable night. Sure going to be way more careful on what I eat again. Processed foods are just not for me. I need to cook or be very very careful what I eat. The closer to fresh I can get, the better off I am.

I finally got myself & DS scheduled for the Pfizer Covid vaccination today. They asked about race & gender, but not much else.

I don't think there are too many jobs where gender identity or sexual orientation is relevant.

I got most of my replacement parts and pieces for the kitchen sink sprayer, but not the sprayer itself so I called this morning and they will send it, expedited shipping.

Got the new car added to my insurance. It went from $80/mo to $200/mo. Yikes. Oh well. As soon as T2's car sells, I'm signing my old one over to her. That will decrease my premium a bit.
