Nasty Woman, I don't mind paying the money if they are truly good. But I hear so many stories about how bad some are and people have paid a ton of money for them.

This is my normal bedtime but I have to stay up another hour to try to adjust to Daylight Savings Time. It sucks.

I don't bother to change the clocks until Sunday night so I get the extra hour of sleep on Monday morning before work.

Housewarming is over. Food is put away and dishwasher is started. Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Most hadn't been to the old house. I never had anyone over because the house and neighborhood was too ghetto. They didn't believe me about the makeup hoard. One of my friends was like 😳. I told you!

I had some random mail in my car for about a week. One envelope was from the mortgage company. I didn't think anything of it. I opened it today. It was a check for about a thousand dollars. Will be putting that away for a rainy day. I have another check for around the same amount coming back from the house insurance cancelation. Some other random refunds coming in for various things. Too bad the bills more than offset the refunds. Adulting sucks.

Paying the kids clinic bills. For the life of me, I will NEVER understand medical billing. Both my kids went to the podiatrist recently. Older son was basically just to get a script for toenail fungus and he dug around and cleaned out under the nail a little, but it was a 10 minute visit. Total billed was $321 for a medical visit. Contracted down to $280. Carrot went...same clinic, same doc for an ingrown nail so it was a lot more involved with numbing him up and cutting it out and bandaging and antibiotics. Total bill was $637 ($222 for medical visit + $415 for surgery). Contracted down to $159. The surgery was completely discounted to $0. Makes. No. Sense.

Good morning, most excellent invisipeeps, living life an hour later than yesterday. Welcome to Sunday. It's a good day for a sundae. Most days are, in my humble opinion. To restrain myself maybe I'll add that to my weekly schedule: a Sunday sundae. I hope you enjoy today, secure in knowing that you are moving forward. Yesterday was fun, watching the Green Glove Gang on Netflix after we ate tacos. It's a Polish show with very good dubbing, funny and engaging, about 3 older women who steal from thieves and help those in need with the proceeds. They leave a green glove behind at each theft scene. Today I'll write more and work on my website, doing the monthly turnover of new pics. It's getting to the point that I need to do some housekeeping and cull some images. Plus I need to vinegar the Japanese knotweed in the back yard. That stuff is tough and aggressive, like a few people I've known, who do not respond to vinegar even at 30% strength. Yesterday pre-dawn the sky turned salmon pink above a flock of oblivious tiny dinosaurs at the water's edge.

well, sleeping through the night was nice while it lasted. 😕🙄 I'm going to try to fall back to sleep, though, for at least a little while. this is far too early to be up for the day, esp with the time change.
ETA: scratch that, I think I'm just awake for the day. mindless video games haven't helped, they usually do.

Ingrown nails can be bad news for someone with diabetes. Mayo says complications can be severe. I'm not seeing the same risk with fungal infection. I think most of the time fungal infections cause discoloration. I think they want to make sure people keep their feet. And don't care so much about what color the nails are.

This missy slept like a steaming pile of poo last night. I think tonight we're going to turn the futon into a bed so I can get some sleep. Single parenting blows.

I got up at 5 while DH got ready for work. His alarm woke me up and that extra hour last night showed me I was up to stay.
Laundry is the only thing on the schedule today.

Too bad the bills more than offset the refunds. Adulting sucks. I remember getting mail like that last summer. The one from the mortgage company (Chase) was because the payoff quote was prepared before a payment that I would make a week later but also included seven months of escrow. Then I got a separate one from the insurance company for the unused portion of this year's insurance. Of course, I paid a lot more than that when I closed on the new house. However, i got the strangest surprise . . . no check but a wad of money nonetheless. Alabama collects money in arrears with your tax payment due on November 1. I figured that was for 2023 and have been saving. I knew the previous owners had paid zero taxes as low-income seniors. They must have had a trust of some sort, but I digress. Anyway, the taxes due on November 1 of this year were for 2022 so I don't owe anything because of their exemptions. It makes no sense to me, but I will take it! That was $1700 that I didn't have to spend.

The last 2 boxes of clothing I put out ut those not picked up. And it either sprinkled some last night or we had a heavy dew. I'm going to pick them up and wash if needed and take them to Goodwill. I am not putting them back downstairs. Anything that leaves here is not coming back.
Today going through bank statements for our LLC again and matching up from credit card statements. Things kind of didn't get taken care of while I was gone this summer or not like I do. I have a dedicated business checkbook for our bills from there. I showed hubs where it was and he wrote checks out of some miscellaneous check book he found. I know little things but aggravating. He paid stuff from his account, our LLC account, cash, and our regular account. He has done this like always and its time consuming digging it all out. I will be very happy to be done with this stuff. Will still have DD's, but one I can deal with.
I don't know if hubs and I can survive using the same bedroom and bathroom right now. He wants the smaller bathroom light on so he can get to the bathroom quickly. The toilet seat up, and the bathroom door open. So the yard light is coming in, he needs it too, the door is open. I know one time I'm going to forget and sit on that toilet hard expecting the seat to be there and that will hurt. I know little things, but those little things grow in your mind after awhile.

Well, if we're talking diabetics, toenail fungus is a risk for them too as it can lead to bacterial infection in the foot. My ex is a type 1 and that was definitely on his list of things to stay on top of.
Also, DS's toe wasn't just discolored, the nail was getting really thick and gross and caused pain when wearing shoes. At least the meds are cheap. I think those were $10 for 3 months worth.
I just think the billing system is wonky. For example, why are the base medical visit charge portions $321 vs $222? The visit itself with nothing extra should be the same I would think?
eta: I get preventative things not be billable to ME, like with well visits, or mammograms, but in those cases insurance covers 100%, but this was not paid by insurance at all. The doc got nothing from insurance for doing the procedure.

I.found Three Dog Bakery candy cane twist sandwich cookies at Walmart yesterday.
The dogs are obsessed with them. Im going to have to go grab a couple more boxes later in the week and put them away for Christmas.
Yes my dogs get Christmas presents. We may do an advent calendar again too.

The kitchen table is now entirely free of clutter for the first time in forever.
So that's 2 things I accomplished today. I might be done.

Finally found an aligator ornament at Hobby Lobby.
I found a hippo in a tutu last year that made me think of Fantasia.
Now I need her dance partner. Im going to make a little cape and hat for the alligator.
Still on the hunt for an Ostrich I can make a blue tutu for.

Getting things to a manageable level. For some reason, going grocery shopping for a whole week and menu planning is too much. But, I can get through Tuesday.
The missy is working on her school project. Which means the only things I have left are
Grocery shopping Cubs hike Cook two dinners
Finish school project Clean the pigs Lunches bathes Picking up the living room Work

Taking a break from writing. DH wants to go out for brunch so we may just do that. I need to sort out my clothes and put away the summer things. Plus wash the sheets.

Finally emptied the 3 bags of goodies that I brought home from old work office. Mostly free things from vendors, some of which is now in the charity bag - after the way I was treated there was no way I was leaving that stuff for my manager to gain. I'm keeping a Magic Bullet blender for myself. 😉

Got home from a 5K around 9:30. Stopped to get garden dirt and manure/compost -- a good deal at just of $6.00 total for both bags! Ran a load of laundry, tidied the bathrooms, fixed a big pot of green tea and found some frozen snacks to heat and eat. I have a new organizing system on the way from Amazon (I ordered it with a set of china storage containers for my mother's china), so eating is a good way to clear the freezer. Next weekend is an off weekend (no race) so these are my projects.

I've just been lazy this morning. I just started some laundry, but I really don't foresee a lot more getting done. The house is pretty clean, and we had a hard freeze so there's not much to do outside.

Not sure what to think about it.

We've got so much trick-or-treat candy leftover from Halloween that we're donating a good chunk of it. Our church will be making goodie bags for the Sunday school kids soon, so they said they'd appreciate whatever we'd like to give.
