Yes. She also just called DH a liar and made a great face. So I think all is well. Just remember remember that you love her and you won't look good in orange. Actually, I laughed at her, because it wasn't directed at me. I don't baby her, and perhaps I need to step back on my concern for her. I don't want her to be burned out from HS.

Good morning, you lovely ladies and germs. Welcome to Wednesday. I hope your day goes easily and satisfies you with your progress. And I hope there's ice cream for dessert. Always. Plus pie if you will. Have a busy day today with small things. Have a teledoc appointment after I get back from the beach with Franklin the Dog, then I bring him to get groomed, then I have 2 webinars to attend. Plus I need to ready for the fair on Saturday. We'll be spending Friday night nearby on the north shore. DD will look in on Franklin. DSis suggested I get small copies of all the photos on my web site for people to actually see. It's hard to envision without the physical picture, she thinks. She may be right. Plus my web site has all the images watermarked. I need to reread the instructions my photographer friend gave me on how to float a signature on my pics, too. This was yesterday just before dawn. The sky was immense.

Woke up with chills and a slight fever. I only know about the fever because DH insisted on taking it before he left for work, brought me Tylenol, and an extra blanket. I turned off my alarm but still out of bed by 7. Feeling a little better.

Drought all summer and we logged over 7 inches of rain at the airport last night from 5:30 to 11:30. To say all the running around I had to do during that was "unpleasant" is an understatement.

Morning all. finnime Thanks for sharing your picturs. Another poor night of sleep. Bring on the coffee. I couldn't sleep either. I don't have a safe space other than here. Which is fine. And my life is not in the interwebz. Could be interesting if it was though.

Waiting to pick up Franklin the Dog from the groomer's. He'll be vaguely disgruntled but wonderfully clean and free of shedding fur. First webinar of the day is at 1:00.

Last month, I had someone shadow me on how to complete 2 account reconciliations. It’s a 2-step process. She shadowed me for both processes. Yesterday and today, I’m sitting with her and shadowing her while she completes the 1st step.
Let’s just say, I’m not sure well it will work out…. Some of the questions I’m asked are questions that she should already know at this level…

It rained like crazy here yesterday too. Such a PITA. I had trouble just staying in the right lane on the highway last night. It was dark and when the headlights from the cars headed in the opposite direction reflected off the wet pavement I could hardly see the lines.

Yesterday, I stopped at the yarn shop to pick up some needles I ordered. This place is like a candy store for me, I just have to go and fondle everything! Anyway, they got a new shipment in of yarn, and it’s gorgeous. I thought about getting enough to start on a sweater, but it is from an independent dyer and there are no lot numbers. You could clearly see that there was a significant shift in color between the hanks of yarn and I didn't want to have to compare them all to get ones similar enough to make a larger garment. This damn store is on m6 way to the grocery store. That’s not good! one of my friends has to drive past this yarn store daily in her commute to work. I wouldn't be able to do that.
That would be hard. I nearly ordered from there by opening the link!

My only suggestion would be to copyright your photos. Your work is so beautiful and so special that I'm concerned about what some of the less scrupulous individuals could do.

I've learned that some people just don't remember things well, but what drives me crazy is when training people like that they also NEVER take notes. 😡

Take my van in for brakes and get a 3K estimate for all they think needs done. I crossed off the "can wait a while" stuff and got it down to 2K. Still.

Well, it looks like we're not going to get out whole 2 weeks of fall this year. It was in the 80s up until Sunday or Monday this week. Starting Saturday it's going to be in the 30s and 40s with a chance of snow this coming Sunday. Boo!

I hate that, wiped out a whole post again. Not sure what I am hitting to do that or if my computer just has a mind of its own.
Well will just condense it down to complaining about spending another $800 to have the sale house termitted. No active activity noted, just saw something from the past. VA apparently can do that even though the termite people told us by law can't treat without seeing active termites. The place in the past had been gutted to the studs and the original was likely built from native lumber which is harder than I don't know what.
And hubs can't come home until he passes gas. He has been up walking and said he overdid it a bit and still hasn't been able to. Our realtor said it is really hard to do a lot of times. She has had multiple surgeries and is due to have more. I have know her for years and hubs knew her from school.
DD and I were going to go up but he said wait otherwise I might have to make 2 trips up, its at least 120 miles or more round trip. I hope its not after dark as I don't do well and he can't drive yet. I'm wondering if he thinks we are going to owe a bunch and we are not. He has met his deductible of $260 and that's it, so we are good. We may go up at 4 or 5 and eat dinner on the way home. Will wait and see what happens. I have to run to town later to get a few things from the grocer later anyway.

Isn't an annual termite inspection (known here as a termite bond) something you already do? If you have a policy ("bond"), the termite company shouldn't charge you anything extra to treat/retreat however often you need it. That's all it covers, though, most of the time unless you have either an expensive policy or one grandfathered in to have it cover repairs. You can't sell a house without a bond here. You don't have to keep it up, but you will have to purchase one again if you sell. That cost in line with your $800. It is only $185 if you renew each year. Given the prevalence of termites in the South, you would be penny wise/pound foolish not to.

OMFG I spent a half hour in Medicare hell trying to get premium statements for grandma's part D plan. The person on the phone barely spoke English I was ready to strangle her through the phone., Then after all that I found out they don't have my POA on file so she refused to talk to me after that. I know it sounds bad that I am mad about her not speaking English but if you are in customer service for something critical like Medicare you should be able to speak it competently enough I can understand you and vice versa. Having to spell my name 18 times over is not efficient use of my time.

In Texas we had our houses inspected. Here we don't have to.
That one has been inspected when we bought it but not treated. The technician said he couldn't treat it without signs of active infestation. Just another ripoff. But its either do what VA wants or cancel the contract, but it sure is aggravating. Our realtor said VA is a different animal, apparently. So no we have never treated it.

I just changed our flight to Seattle from the 13th to the 7th of Dec. I need to talk to Apple Care for DD's medicaid. It will likely be hard to talk to someone even though earlier in the month but I will see. We will be there till Jan 10th and could stay longer if we need too so I should be able to find out some information.
