Good morning, illustrious invisipeeps and welcome to Friday. I hope your weekend offers a lot to anticipate happily and that this day poses no obstacles to full on hedonism. I spent yesterday adding another 25 pictures to my website portfolio. Now to rename it Photography & Wall Decor, put together a portfolio for interior designers and move ahead with that. Our next booth is at a Finnish tor, or marketplace, at a Finnish festival end of the month on the northern shore of Massachusetts. We went to Finland years ago and DH took a huge number of shots that capture some of the idiosyncracies and beauty there. We have cards we made from some of the images; those are chiefly what we'll be offering at the tor. Also yesterday DH made reservations for Monday night in Lincoln, NH, at the end of the Kancamagus highway where we'll spend the day leef peeping and visiting waterfalls with Franklin the Dog. We plan on a leisurely return on Tuesday. Now I just hope for no rain up there. Today I'm going to be helping DD with sorting out her home and making stew which DH and DD exclaim over. The dawn was again lovely at the beach. Here, tiny dinosaurs are racing the sun before it rises.

It's going to be a long day!
DD got her cast off yesterday but is into a really cool brace. However, she gets to take it off at home, and she is all kinds of anxious about moving it, etc. So I slept in her room last night, but not much sleep happened. I think I finally fell asleep about midnight.
Then, while we were gone, the spiteful beagle got into the laundry room garbage and ate half a bag of treats. DH handled her as best he could but woke me up around 4:45 because she had pooped all over the bedroom carpet. Got that cleaned up, but sleep is elusive.

The one time we went to Kancagamus, I was not impressed. We actually saw much more nicer foliage in our drive from Boston to NH. But hope you have better luck than us finnime

Was up puking at 2am, been fine since then. I had woken to use the bathroom, laid back down, and started thinking about work. I think it was azucena that mentioned it could be stress or anxiety related, which now seems so clear.

Daisy - so sorry you're dealing with that. I've begun thinking about it as my body's way of saving me from myself. Like the ultimate slow the eff down signal. The past couple of yrs I've been mostly better about listening.
Going on a college visit today. Hope DD15 wakes up in a good mood.

Completely shocked DH with the news that his mom does not care for mashed potatoes. She would eat them if she was starving, but she grew up very poor on a farm where potatoes were a staple and mashed is the only way her mom prepared them so she ate plenty before leaving home. His mind was blown, wondering what is wrong with her. It is HIS mother and he does not know these things, but my lack of intimacy (not sex related) is our biggest issue in his eyes.

Feeling yucky and it's a rainy yucky day too, so that doesn't help. Coincidentally I have two physicals today. The work one and the one with my doctor so I need to put on my healthy face.

Checking weather and road conditions before heading out for a two-day swim meet out of town. Everything here is done. I feel edgy, given the world situation and what I could encounter, but I don't think anyone should be stopped by terrorism, or the threat of it.

I am reading about Omaha installing vape detectors in the restrooms of schools. According to DH it is apparently bad parenting when you tell your kid that if the students smoking just walked four blocks down from the school they reach a hill where they can't be seen and it is off school property so they school can't do anything about. In HS everyone walked to the nearest Subway. That Subway DOES NOT give a rats butt. Walgreens does though, don't smoke in the Walgreens parking lot. What? If they are going to smoke at least be smart about it! But yes vaping and anything else is wrong m'kay. I don't really want Gwen smoking anything at her age I was mainly musing on the fact kids really do seem to be dumber nowadays.

Installed my work travel app on my personal cell. Now I can share flight and other info with DH with just a swipe, so he can longer say that I don't share those things.
He does share plenty that I feel like I don't need to know with me, so this is an easy compromise. I just didn't think it mattered (other than the leave and return dates/times and some of those logistics) since I am almost always available by cell phone, but it is important to him so....

I don’t hate my job, apart from the one insecure under competent coworker who compensates by mansplaining sh!t, but I’m over it today. DS passed on his cold (I’ve clearly had this one before, it’s not nearly as bad as his experience, but still making me dull) and I just heard from the neighbor that her FIL died unexpectedly in his sleep He was awesome and a significant support for their special needs kid. He’ll be missed. Also, I haven’t really forgiven DH for the giant mess that was this week. Maybe when I feel better I will find the grace to be fair about it

Going up to Vancouver tomorrow to see TD’s mom. His sister is leaving Tuesday, and TD is going to tag team her.
We have social obligations Friday that can’t be shifted, if we can’t do it they will be canceled. We also have tickets on Saturday to the opera. Maybe one of TD’s other siblings can spell him for those 2 days? I just found out about this last night.

I am waiting for hubs to get home from his PMSA Pet scan. I didn't go to this one, he didn't think it was necessary. And my understanding is he will get info on Monday, I hope he is right about that. And I hope its not in his bones, we will know very soon. I know no matter which way this goes it will change our lives significantly and I'm not sure either of us is totally prepared for it.
He said next week is going to try and get everything done he can to winterize things. Getting old is traumatic. But at least we have made it this far and is a lot longer that many have been able to live, so for that I'm grateful.
My big kitty came up to lie on my lap and purr. And I have talked to son today.

About to start prepping for making Irish stew. While it's cooking I'll go over to DD's and help her hang a mirror and figure out her Dish connection to the tv. Then we'll all eat.
A good day.

I'm curious that there are vaping detectors...could there be pot detectors? When DS went through HS, he had a list of bathrooms to avoid due to the vaping/pot smoking.

Hubs is home and going to mow the lawn.
We are all nibbling. I ate green beans, love those things. And I'm having my second cup of coffee.
DD ate more sushi and hubs heated a whole plate of croissants and ate those for lunch. We are all happy with our choices.
You know its dry when my hubs put on googles to mow. He likely should have used my respirator too, its bad out there.
I had the robot running but its charging again, it dumped twice but has not done the kitchen so I sat it in there. It's charged up again.
Other than laundry and mopping my kitchen later, not doing a whole bunch today. We are having salad and raviolis with spinach and ricotta cheese for dinner tonight. The cats were rough housing last night and broke another glass candle stick, they have now wiped out the pair. Something else I don't have to worry about moving I guess.
Hubs and I have noticed that new houses up around Olympia are cheaper than resales. However, I told son they are practically on top of each other so we wouldn't like that. And I don't think my kitties would survive that. They have freedom to roam here and noone or nothing to bother them. Going to be a hard adjustment if they go outside up there unless we get in just the right place.
