And, also, why is it still high 70s, low 80s in October? I don't live in FL.
It's still September [img src="https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/smile.gif" class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png"] It is! And we're supposed to start october with 80 weather. ETA: DH have a hot date in early October. I didn't want it to be hot. But, outdoors, so checking the weather.

Yes, I had it on March of 2022. I mostly slept for 4 or 5 days and it was over. Not as lucky this time. Why don’t you go to doctor and get paxlovid? I'm way past the window for Paxlovid. Have to start it within 5 days of symptoms.

So I went online to change the credit card number in my NEXUS application - but the payment has been received according to the website. Everything has been checked of green and I'm pending review. However, I did not see the charge on my AmEx card.

Ugh. I'm going to have to call Caremark to get a stupid prescription card for my grandma. Or maybe I can see if the nursing home has a copy because they had to have gotten it somewhere to give to the prescription company. I need it for Medicaid. I can't get a print out online because it wants my Grandma's phone number to verify her identity. She doesn't HAVE a freaking phone number. I tried putting in all her infomration but used my mobile number. Nope. I swear to God. Old people who can't use technology drive me insane and the fact that everything and anything expects you to be able to use it is insane. What are people who don't have younger or technology savvy friends/neighbors supposed to do for this shit?

My back is killing me! I've suffered from lower back pain my whole life and am used to that, but this is like a knife in the middle part of my back. It's really uncomfortable just sitting in my chair. If the rain lets up here I'm going to go out to my van and lie flat for awhile to see if that helps. I have all the back seats either out or stowed from when I moved DS, so I have lots of room to stretch out.

Did you try calling AMEX or going online to look at your charges?

I checked my email before getting dressed for my appointment with my therapist and I don’t have an appointment! I had an email saying the time I’d requested was unavailable, and I didn’t see it until today. I am a little upset about that, and I know it’s my fault for not checking my email. I really needed to talk to her. I sent her a text asking if she has any cancellations for this week.

I probably should call AmEx to double check, but I'm increasingly hating doing anything over the phone as there are so many freaking phone trees you need to deal with and they never are what I need. They're talking a 12-14 month renewal time for NEXUS, and I renewed 2 months after I should have (card expires in July 2024). At least my NEXUS card is still good while it's pending. Get this though.....I have my AmEx card set up in my Apple Pay and on Amazon. AmEx automatically shifted those accounts over onto the new number. The new number does show up on my online account too, so sure it's legit. ETA: Whew! My NEXUS payment did go through.

When we were doing the cruise around South America during Covid, many of these countries (ahem.....Chile, I'm talking about you in particular) had all of these online hoops that you needed to jump through in order to be allowed into the country. Realize, the average age on a Viking ship is probably mid 60s. TD and I were able to jump through the necessary hoops, but there were LONG lines at the Explorer's desk of passengers asking for help. In many of these passenger's defense, the website was poorly set up and about as clear as mud, as it was translated into English - not written in English. It also glitched regularly, halfway through the application process. If you have any visual impairment, it was impossible to read.

DS and I did a hustle pick up. The kids can sit at the dining room table and chat or play a game.
I was even able to wipe down the fronts of appliances.
Just need to make some brownies yet today. I'll do that later after school with the missy. The family room needs a 15 minute pick up. I just may not die of embarrassment yet. DD1 may, but that's on her. (Subtext, the nice young man is coming over for a bit this evening)

Weirdly, gallbladder attacks often show up as stabbing mid back pain.

Also, I wish I had someone IRL who was a few years older than me and had been through the dating thing to talk me through. This shit is hard. I don't want to be too obnoxious, and I don't want my baby to go off with a boy I don't know.

"So going to the restaurant I know my dad is at with his date and sitting at a table where I can see them but they can't see me is NOT appropriate right?" I was correct.

Raising boomer parents can be so frustrating sometimes. My mom's brother's kids don't really like him very well, so I do a lot to help him too. Add in my 87 yo grandma and I'm about ready to flip my shit half the time.

My Faux watching sister says it's because I don't have "herd" immunity. I thought the puking was bad but the coughing has been the worst part.

My hubs put up a big ladder at the post office, I can't remember how tall but its a big one. He was hurting in his ribs on the left side, now he is really hurting. He thinks he pulled some muscles, I wanted to give him something but he won't take it.
We didn't have dinner perse again. DD had Subway in town, and I bought a huge salad. I started to get hubs a sandwich but he grumbles half the time when I bring one home so I didn't. He was going to open 2 cans of tamales and eat them. I asked him with his back if he could handle a can opener, he said he thought he could handle that, LOL! I'm on one of my non cooking kicks. It will pass, so I made brownies and ate too many. Damn, I CANNOT DO THAT! My salad had no meat, some shredded cheese, just sunflower seeds, raisins, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, a few tomatoes, very few, and strawberry vinegarette dressing. They make their own and it is wonderful, I love that salad.
I can't decide if I'm going to start cleaning the trailer or start packing. DD said our neighbor could have her Monster High dolls to donate at the church for holidays. She said they all could go. They are all new in boxes still. I don't know how many, guessing at least 30 or 40?? She said other stuff in her room could go too. I hope so.
I told hubs want to bring the clothes racks out of the basement so when I have a sale I can put the clothing on those. I am going to start decluttering in the next couple of weeks. May have to wait till his side gets better.
I picked up a 5 gallon bucket of apples and some pears at the neighbors. Big beautiful apples this year, they are hanging in clusters off the tree, hundreds of them. I picked them up off the ground as they are just as good. The pear tree is the same, gorgeous pears. I'm sure he has offered to others, they are too lazy to come pick them, not me. I will make hubs another pie and me some stewed apples and keep some to eat. What a waste, I look at all those and just upsets me when I know there are hungry people that could eat them and kids too.

Good God the amount of documents I need to file for Medicaid is fucking insane.
And the target date to have it all to the Medicaid lady is NEXT THURSDAY!
I'm having a panic attack because my grandma wasn't as meticulous as she used to be so stuff is missing.
My mom was handling it but had a heart attack and didn't have a "If I die folder" and on top of that had her own filing system that only made sense to her.
I just can't see getting it all done by December. Something is going to go wrong and fuck me over.
I know it. No way will this work out when has anything with these old farts worked out in a way that didn't age me or my Dad by about 10 years.

Old people who can't use technology drive me insane and the fact that everything and anything expects you to be able to use it is insane. What are people who don't have younger or technology savvy friends/neighbors supposed to do for this shit? So, I got an e-mail that if I don't pay a certain bill for one of the large medical groups in the area within 30 days, they will send me to collections. It says log into my account to pay. There is a link, it says enter your phone #. It wants to ping you with a code. I don't get a code, it says if you don't get a code with your phone #, then enter your e-mail, still no code. There is a # to call, so I call the number. It wants me to tell them my customer number. It was not provided. I did several rounds with the phone tree, then go into mychart, and try to get my invoice there, it shows some past paid invoices, and what I think must be my customer number, but can't confirm, b/c it still won't let me view anything with my name and the account number indicated. So I go back to the phone tree, punch in what I think is the customer number, and it comes back and asks me to verify with my zip code. Put in zip code, and it indicates that I owe $227.50. I still want to talk to someone to actually verify that these are my charges. I ask for a call back at about 3:30 pm. It is now 5:39 and no CB. And, I guess the suggestion of a backache is enough for me to have sympathy pains. Now my back is bothering me too. At least my day is over for today. Going to pick up my fur babies, and walk them, then I can relax. giramomma, I don't know what to tell you about your DD. I wish I had been stricter with my DD, but she would probably say I was too strict. Wishing you luck. countrygirl2, I hope everything goes well with your Real Estate Sales. Mitch, glad your Nexxus payment went through. Have a good evening everyone.

A Sweet Kitty
You Have Not Lost Me ... "I lay on your bed last night... I came to have a peep." "I saw that you'd been crying... and found it hard to sleep." "I purred to you so softly... as you brushed away a tear." "It's me! I haven't left you... I'm well! I'm fine! I'm here!" "I was close to you at breakfast... I watched you pour your tea." "I saw you thinking of the times... you reached down touching me." "I was with you at my grave today... as you tended it with such care." "I wanted to reassure you friend... I'm no longer lying there!" "I walked with you towards the house... And sat with you under the tree. "I gently put my paw on you... I smiled and said, 'it's me'!" "You looked so very tired... As you sank down in your chair." "I tried so hard to let you know... that I was still sitting there." "It's just so wonderful for me... to be so close to you." "To tell you that I'm Here... "Please don't be so blue!" "You sat so quietly; then smiled... I think you finally knew!" "That in the stillness of this evening... I was so very close to you." "And when the time is right... to cross this brief divide." "I'll rush across to meet you... we'll stand there side by side." "I have many things to show you... There's so much for you to see!" "Be patient and live your journey... then come home to be with me." #love #goodnight #autumn #adoptdontshop

Our solar panels are working great since they came out end of March and fixed them. We had a quarter of them out for several months. It was warranty work being done as people were having issues with Snap connectors from Generac. Ours had worked for over a year but apparently not efficiently. They told hubs they could replace them or connect directly. He said why have them if you don't need them? So connected directly. Since then we have had $20 electric bills, highest $23. And that was with AC running. This last month I got home and have been doing laundry, lights on day and night and hot showers, sometimes washing clothes on hot water. So for 6 months our electric bill has totaled about $125!! I'm anxious to see if we do better this winter. Of course we will have less sun days through that period, but this alone is awesome. I hate to think what the bills would have been without them. If we were younger they would pay us back for the cost but at our age not as much, especially if we sell. But we are very happy with them, especially now. I need to check but I think we also have about a 1000 kwh's banked for future use at this time.
