Pink Cashmere, thinking of you today. I hope equanimity returns to your life soon.
I know it comes at the cost of wretched weather, finnime, but that is a beautiful picture. Thank you!
DH and I are going to putter around a local tourist town today. There's a new wildfire, so it's smokey again. The town we're driving to has slightly better air quality than our house currently does.

Cleaning, cooking, and working the 2nd job today. Hoping it'll be a slow day on that front. I'm so frustrated with dh. I know he wants to help, but the few things I ask him to do he waits so long to do that I end up doing myself. He's not thinking things through. Washer broken = laundromat = household laundry not individual. I've stated this explicitly. But he didn't put his stuff with the loads I took last night. When I called him he was already leaving the house and said he did it on purpose- he didn't want me to have to do his laundry. But it doesn't actually help me for him to spend 2 hours at the laundromat today when I just spent 2 hours there last night. If he had said - he'd do everyone's laundry today - that would fucking help. He has grand ideas that he's actually going to overhaul his entire side of the bedroom that is threatening to take over, buy a recliner, rearrange and set up the bedroom so that I can choose between the bed or recliner but he literally has today, and I just don't see that it's possible. He's a smart guy. He has a hard job that requires critical thinking skills and hes the go-to guy for how to do the really hard stuff of his hard stuff. So I can't figure out why he can't see this really obvious stuff. And unfortunately I'm out of patience to even try. It is so frustrating, isn’t it? Some very smart and capable people can’t replicate that it in everyday situations, home front especially. You would think it’s the best place to use their magic powers but somehow it just doesn’t work. I don’t know the answer but I want to let you know I sympathize with you. Would your sister be available to help out while you’re recovering from the surgery? Hang in there 🤗

I just informed T2 that I am too cute to be her mama. I will inform T1 when I see her later today.

I wasted too much money this morning on Carrot's phone because I was stupid. He needed a new charger cable and I accidentally got a lightning to USB C instead of USB A and they wouldn't take it back because I'd already tore it all open, so then I bought him a new portable charger that had a USB C port. While I was blowing money, I got him a new screen saver since his was in bad shape. $65 because I didn't want to drive home through this bike tour that was going down our road all day. Whatever. I did a couple hours of work hauling brush for an Eagle project and walked the lake so I was feeling all healthy, then I found my favorite ice cream was on sale, so now I'm being a piggy and watching TV.

Whoa, not happy with that, the outfit purchasing my PO is chinese. But its pending inspection and who knows may not pass. It's too much money for it, but guess they will either lower it or whatever. But than there is nowhere else in town they could buy or rent a building for a post office, so there is that. I want to research the company a bit before I sign off on it. But right now finally need to get to work at the house. Later all You've done enough for the community. Stop stressing and get out.

Hope things are better today Pink Cashmere . I don't have a medical reason like you do, but since DH acted like an ass I stopped doing a lot of the stuff that I had been doing to make his life easier and healthier. I was headed to the grocery store today and asked if he needed to add anything to the list. Most things I already had on the list, and he mentioned that it was "up to me" if I wanted to get sausage - that's the one that I get from a local butcher so that he doesn't stop at a gas station every morning and eat processed shit. I bought it, only because he acknowledged how much I do and how much I spend. All that to say be a b*itch when you need to.

The portable charger was $25 and it's a nice size for his daypack. I see Amazon has adapters 4 for $6 though, so I'll toss some of them in my cart.

We buy high end chargers and portable chargers, but got tired of buying different cords and remembering which cords fit different electronics so I got the adapters from Amazon. They work great!

Oh, joy. I've been listening to the neighbor play his drums for the last hour, again. At least this has been the 8yr old, who is actually trying to learn how to play. Not his father, who wildly beats on them, thinking he knows how to play. Small consolation. They both suck at it.

I’m still pissed off at him for that.

Having a mini tantrum. On our trip to the fun tourist town, I found a piece I wanted for my living room. They had different sizes. I thought I was spending $500 on the size we got. Turns out that size was $650. Didn’t find out until we got in the car. 🤦🏻♀️

I’m still pissed off at him for that. He has retracted and we are working on things. I've forgiven him, but not forgotten. Mid life crisis for him. I've made it clear that it is going to take a whole lot to make up for that and I will be weary of trusting him emotionally for a while. It is both of ours first marriage, but we both lived whole lives before getting married.

In my 2 bedroom townhouse, the very first place I owned, the teenager who lived next door played drums. The high school band won a lot of awards so I am guessing he was decent but no one should be subjected to that for even an hour. It's too much. Luckily, I was friends with the parents and they had him change his practice time to when I was not likely to be home. I also knew an end was in sight because he was graduating.

On our way back from lunch with MIL. We sat at The Flying Beaver watching sea planes take off and land awhile as we got a good table out on the porch. Hope fully dim sum next time.

I triple checked it was the right size to plug into the phone, but wasn't even thinking about the other end, just saw USB and figured I was good.

This neighbor seems to LOVE arguing, with everyone! I think that's why he bought the drums, for his kid. He knew it would provoke people. And he acts like he's the ultimate privileged white guy. But was homeless, prior to moving here and he doesn't work. He drives a hunk of junk that is filthy and he can't put the top up on it. He's a wreck, that loves to scream, swear and cause issues. But nothing is ever his fault. He's always the victim. He always calls me "Hon". Yuck. I hate even seeing him, much less talking to him.

Yes, they said the younger you are the better the results. They said that at hubs age it will likely create some incontinence. But I also it said that it could be bowels too. I haven't said anything about it and won't till later. That is the part he is concerned about and I sure understand that. But hubs has a tumor and also the prostrate has cancer at all the biopsy points, sooooo. We just have to wait and see how it goes for now.
I'm trying not to let it fluster me, but darnit, it is. I didn't sleep well last night, kept dreaming about a cellphone and I was trying to fix it, it would mess up and I tried again, I hate nights like that.
I worked at the house, not long but got the bedrooms vacced and the windows cleaned inside, so those 2 are done. I vacced the kitchen and porch, plus bathroom so that didn't track all over. I need to take a window scraper as a lot of glass has tape on it I can't get off and some paint, so need to do that and clean them again. Got the countertop clean and hubs hauled all his tools home but a few things. I will finish cleaning, but like I told hubs will need to wash windows and mop again before we put it up for sale. The last thing I'm doing is caulking around some baseboards. The place really looks nice. I don't think we will have a problem selling it unless interest rates really jack up.
The renter at the other house is worried about us selling, but like hubs said that's at least a year away, that will be the last place, possibly even 2 years. We will give him 3 months notice. He was wanting to buy the mobile out back on payments. I told hubs don't do it, we can find a cash buyer who will have it removed. He was wanting alot back of the other house. Would have to have it surveyed and all kinds of stuff, would cost us. I know you can sell easier without one on the same land, well unless it was a cash buyer. I said what do you do if he has paid half and we need to sell quick, you are stuck, he agrees.
Hubs is worrying about if we sell and move how we can move things, he might not be able to. I told him don't worry, the guys at the furniture store hire out, he said that's true. I can have them load and I can still drive cross country, he can too. But son has to have his garage built first, so we are really looking at a year or two, lot can happen in that time. But first we just need to get these places sold and down to just our house. Sure hate to sell it, will never be able to replace a house like this one in another area. It is well built and fixed up for the long haul, in every way.
But like I said before, things have always worked out well for us.

I had bought the candy cigarettes as a joke. The HR manager at previous employer kept a pack of cigarettes on her desk. I bought them for her and gave a pack to several other colleagues.
