Lake levels are dropping here too. Of course, we've got a drought going on here. But the lake problem has been going on for the last several years, at least. It's not a good thing if you own lake property, and your dock is literally standing way above the waterline. Makes it kinda tricky to launch your boat to go fishing. This is one angle from the pictures my son sent me. A straight shot would show better just how far the water has receded, but this is the only one that didn’t show neighbors’ homes. He is standing on the pier. There use to be water underneath it. All that vegetation use to be water.

One of the hottest days this summer and the ac has decided to stop working. Have a call into home warranty company. Thankfully I have fans and lots of food in the fridge. Isn't it always on the hottest day of the year? I hope it is an easy fix! The guy came and fixed it - fuse had tripped on the unit itself and it worked fine for some time and then tripped again. Thankfully I had asked for an estimate for a new unit, so he was close by and came and fixed it again. I am hoping I can at least get by today, as temps start dropping tomorrow. I know we are due for a replacement and he said that our unit is too small for the size of our apt, so hopefully we will get a quote that is reasonable.

So my mortgage was sold and credit karma says my score dropped 34 points since yesterday and the mortgage doesn't show. Is that weird? When the loan shows up eventually with the new company, will I get my 34 points back? Then what happens when I don't own a home for a while? Do I lose points again? Did you check if the 34 points was due to that or something else? Usually mortgage being sold should not cause a drop in credit score. Yes. Nothing else has changed.

Thank you, everyone. Yes, she was loved. andi9899, I didn't notice a drop in my credit score. In fact, it was the opposite because I paid off the mortgage when I sold it. It also wasn't that immediate. I think it was almost a month before I saw the effect. But 34 points isn't that much. Mine would fluctuate 10 points up and down on a month-to-month basis when everything was pretty much the same. I figured it has to do with whether I paid my CC bill before or after the bill came out, but who knows. Well, actually Credit Karma probably does. Don't they tell you the factors that are affecting it? Both Chase and American Express give me a free "score" every month, and they do.

Baby Sister called Aunt D, complaining because Mister’s brother said there wouldn’t be a repast. Aunt D told her that was up to “the boys”, if they didn’t want one, there wouldn’t be one.
I’m pretty sure that if somebody had just organized and hosted one, Mister probably would’ve at least stopped by. He just didn’t want to handle it. He said that even though my family cooked everything and set everything up at our house after his Mom’s funeral, it was still stressful to him, having so many people in our house and he just doesn’t want to do it.
He also said if that lady that stopped up our toilet comes back over here, he’s not letting her in lol. People had already noticed that she ate for like 2 hours straight. She KEPT going back for more food. Then she comes out of the bathroom, becking for me to come here. When she told me what was wrong, I whirled around and said “let me get Mister”, went and whispered in his ear, and let him handle it.
My family helped me clean up and put away the food, they really did almost all of the work and made it very easy on me and Mister. I’m not trying to do all of that by myself, even if the food was catered. I’d do it if Mister wanted it, but I’m kind of relieved that he doesn’t.
I’m tempted to tell Mister let’s go to his Dad’s house for a while after the burial, so that anyone that wants to find him will have to come over there, where we can just leave whenever we’re ready, instead of popping up at our house.
But wait, are Brother and Horseface still contagious if they had COVID as of last Tuesday? Maybe we won’t go over there. SHIT!

Mr. T saw our garage door up and came over to make sure our dogs weren’t out and started chatting with Mister. Mister apologized to Mr. T for catching him outside in some pajama pants and no shirt. Mr. T wouldn’t have seen him if he hadn’t come across the yard because he saw the door up.
Which is not a problem at all. I very much appreciate that he checks to see where our dogs are before he brings his out, when he doesn’t have to, and it’s our dogs that are out of order and will run over to him on his property, even if he has one of his dogs with him. Newbie did just that a few days ago when I let the garage door up not knowing Mr. T was working with one of his dogs. I apologized profusely to Mr. T. He said it was okay, but I know it’s not ok regardless of him trying to be polite. Fortunately, his dogs are very well trained and his dog didn’t do anything. But if it had, it would’ve been my fault if Newbie got hurt or worse.
Anyway, I got off track. My whole point was that I really just wanna know why I can’t hang out outside with just some pajama pants on and no shirt, but Mister can.

Mr. T is still talking and Mister is showing signs of distress lol. I will NOT rescue him, after the way he acted when I thought I was rescuing him a few nights ago. He’s gonna have to tough this one out. And I am mean enough to be amused watching.

Pink Cashmere , I’m amused at how you aren’t rescuing Mister. That’s exactly what I’d be doing if DH had reacted the way Mister did previously, and I’d have a hard time no showing my little bit of amusement on my face, lol. I hope Mister figures out how to extricate himself soon

And I asked him, why did you keep slowly backing back into the garage while y’all were talking. He was not as amused as I was, but I guess he knew better than to ask why I didn’t rescue him like I usually do.

We are sitting outside on the side of the house, because I am still creeped out about sitting on the deck after that worm fell on me. Mister brought the dogs out, and then put Boy back in the house because he was being unruly and wandering off where we couldn’t see him. I went inside to pee, and Boy was at the door looking pitiful, I asked Mister if Boy could come back out if he promised to TRY TO behave. Mister said yes. So I had a talk with Boy, like I always do when I try to trust him outside, the same kind of talk folks have with their kids when they tell them they better behave before they get out in public, or go over somebody’s house, and they better not embarrass them. Y’all don’t know about those talks? Okay, but that’s a real thing. With children though and not dogs lol. So I had a talk with Boy and told him how he HAD to behave and not run off without permission to go play. He listened, we are all outside, and all is well. He is curled up between my feet.

When my DD's doggie goes for an overnight, the dog has it's own suitcase. People get goofy with questions when they hear that. She sends the food and water bowls as well as the dogs blanket and toys! I chuckle every time I think about it. She has a photo of the dog smiling while hogging the air conditioner.

I finally have a free day, so I HAVE to go help hubs get the rent house ready. I need to scrub the tub and sink, do some caulking around baseboards. Mop the new laminate last. We are washing windows. Hubs has a window pane bottom on order, it had one panel of the dual broken. They said 6 weeks, think its been 3 or 4 now. I hate to show it with a window out, but what can you do? I'm debating on getting curtain rods at Ollie's and putting some curtains up, hubs said he will if I want. I just think it looks good to have a house with new fresh curtains up and new rods for sale. It has a new stove and dishwasher. And we replaced any broken pieces in the fridge. But its an old house, still it looks good, is well insulated, has a less than 8 year old furnace and AC. Fairly new roof, 2 out buildings but no garage. It's a nice looking place. We made our money back on it in rent, so whatever we get is profit. Also have some nice trees in the yard, I think that always helps. Only 2 bedroom and one bath, but has a big kitchen. I would love to have a kitchen that big with very nice cabinets in it.
So I need to go to bed. I washed my hands good, but looks like I ended up with one spot of poison ivy on my hand.
Dinner was good, barbecue made from a pork roast and also made cole slaw. Bought the pork roast from a Save A Lot store. Though there beef isn't much they have good pork and also good bone in hams. I wanted one for bean soup but they were too big.
Just finished reading a book, going to go to bed. I'm tired. I think the chiro left me sore tonight, but planting that stuff likely didn't help.
Night All!

I'm in Chicago for work and got in late this afternoon with nothing to do.
The weather was rainy, so I ordered myself some dinner delivered to the hotel room, then took myself out to see Barbie.
I really enjoyed it. It really does give you a lot to think about- it made me laugh, it made me cry.
Off to bed as I will be up early for a run on the lakefront and then off to work 12+ hours to prepare for an event!
