I also found a vacuum on Craigslist that seems to have promise. Dude gets returns from some of the Costcos and home depots that would otherwise be trashed and the good ones he discreetly sells. Fingers crossed.

I'm glad I had a good weekend. It's going to be a day of struggle.

I'm trying to figure out why my CSR is issuing ID cards on a policy that was canceled last year. Of course she's not here to ask.

Note to self - stop looking at comments on yahoo articles. It is only going to raise your BP, and you have enough sh*t going on. This gem about Louis CK is not worth your attention: But as a female who has experienced these things, ALL of these actions are just as disturbing to the person experiencing them. I do not even know why I am still shocked at how many openly racist and misogynistic people are still defending those behaviors. The things that men (and unfortunately even women) will rationalize as "not that bad" is beyond me. I can't even walk around topless during the summer despite male neighbors parading their giant tatas out in the open because "Oh it will make men uncomfortable!" but I am supposed to write off men whipping out their penis and jacking off in front of me since he didn't actually stick it in me? If my boobs have to stay in my shirt then your penis needs to stay in your damn underwear! WTF is in the drinking water?!

DS at 10 still has to be reminded after a shower not to run around naked. I would also like him to get over the obsession with fart humor Fart humor is never not funny. DS’ routinely comes with practical demonstrations.

My Aunt and Uncle live on a lake. They’ve lived there almost 30 years. DS sent me pictures of their back yard, the lake is drying up! Their pier no longer sits over water, and about 20 feet past it, there is overgrown vegetation where there use to be water. It’s shocking to see. I wonder what’s causing it.

It is the same around here. Everthing is dried up. The county sent out a message about a burn ban that includes firepits and campfires. I have never seen it so bad around here. We are on a well, and I'm getting worried.

We’ve been getting some good rain the past week, but prior to that the ground had solidified completely; our stream in the back had been dried up for weeks and the grass is looking pretty bad. There was an article in the wapo talking about how screwed the farmers in the area are Many of them don’t have irrigation equipment because it’s not usually needed.

Anyone have any experience with donor advised funds? I remember athena used one…thinking it might be the best option in my personal TIAA mess.

ugh, I'd have been snoring, or melting.
in light of this morning's content, I'm feeling the need to share this lol... I finally had a break in calls to go shower around noon. I wrapped myself in a bath sheet, and have been on the phone pretty much ever since. it's a good thing I don't have a functioning camera on this laptop hahaha

TD brought out the Calvados last night after dinner. For me, this wound up being a huge mistake. I had heartburn until sometime around 5 am, so didn’t get to sleep until then. As a result, slept until 10:30. That’s a record for me.

Hubs and I were looking at a house on line in Washington, it was on the other side of Black Lake. It is a modular but nice and had a garage. However it has an artesian well, and the more I read, made me worry. I did not see any washer dryer hookups in the house, really? And than it said shared. They have been trying to sell the place since 2022 and dropped the price a ton, me thinking could be part of the issue. Than they remarked they were going to build a privacy fence by the shard driveway, In looking closer the place across the street had lots of vehicles, maybe a garage or something. It also had 92 foot of waterfront across the street to use. Really sad, if the neighbors had been cleaner we really might have considered it.
I told hubs he is running more and more out of friends. 2 more are really old and may not last much longer. And our near neighbor is having issues, so I told him not many left soon. He agreed. He even said we could live in the manufactured home for awhile until we sold everything down here. We could have plenty of time to look around and find perhaps a bargain on a home. He doesn't mind working on one, long as the price was right. I really think within the next couple of years we will move. As he keeps losing friends and this place gets redder, its a huge incentive to get out of here.

Lake levels are dropping here too. Of course, we've got a drought going on here. But the lake problem has been going on for the last several years, at least. It's not a good thing if you own lake property, and your dock is literally standing way above the waterline. Makes it kinda tricky to launch your boat to go fishing.

If you have an Ollie's they have pretty good buys on vacuums. I bought a Shark, like those for them to use at my PO here. They said its impossible to get equipment so I finally did, since I cleaned and scrubbed the H out of that place. And the back has carpet, low level but carpet. It was $99, I imagine it will work ok. I paid $400 for mats in there to keep dirt and mud from being tracked in. The old ones were wore down to the rubber. I do need to paint the railings outside. This new guy is really letting these places go to pot. In these small towns our post offices should be our shining stars!
I went out and put soil conditioner/soil in my one flower bed, than I planted 5 more mums. Looks like I still need 3 or 4 more. Walmart had them for $5.97 each and the soil for $1.50 a bag, trying to get rid of it. Once I fill it in, won't have to mess with planting it ever spring, just water and fertilize. I told hubs he can weedeat around the brick edging and that will take care of it. I also got the corner weeded, but can't pull my lawn cart so hubs has to fix our hand cart. That's ok, don't have that much more to do.
Went to chiro toady, that helped my back.
I cooked a pork roast so getting ready to shred and make barbecue and cut cabbage for cole slaw. First a quick shower. Later all.

So my mortgage was sold and credit karma says my score dropped 34 points since yesterday and the mortgage doesn't show. Is that weird? When the loan shows up eventually with the new company, will I get my 34 points back? Then what happens when I don't own a home for a while? Do I lose points again?

I hope you also checked in with whoever does your taxes, b/c mine were a hot mess for 2020 when I was in the summer rental. just keep breathing!

Did you check if the 34 points was due to that or something else? Usually mortgage being sold should not cause a drop in credit score.
