Thank you. I know you said you will probably be somewhere in my area soon, and if you will be close enough and it works with my work schedule, I am willing to drive to meet you. I don’t remember what part of the country you live in, I know (think) you recently said you grew up in Baltimore, but I don’t think that’s where you live anymore. I have a running list in my mind, of places I want to visit so I can meet some of my friends here, in person. My wish list already includes Washington state, Oregon, California, New York, Massachusetts (I think, but not sure if I have that state right lol), Colorado, Utah, Nebraska or Iowa (I get confused about where one poster actually lives, and there is another that has lived in a couple of the states I’ve mentioned, but I’m not sure what state they live in now), Kansas or Missouri, and even Canada. Ive always wanted to visit all 50 states in the US, the ones where I might be able to meet my Internet friends are priorities though. And just because I didn’t specifically mention the state some people here live in, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to meet them in person. I was just naming the states that immediately came to mind. ETA that I just remembered one of the posters I’d really like to meet lives in Texas. I’m not keen on spending my money in Texas or Florida, but I could be tempted if that’s what I gotta do to meet some of my friends here. And a couple others in Indiana. Imma leave that at that. If you vibe with me here, even if we don’t always agree on things, I’d probably like to meet you IRL. If ever in KS, MO, IA, NE, or OK I would drive to meet you. I fly to TX all the time, so I'd go there. I'm honestly willing to get on a plane and go pretty much anywhere. And I'll meet you in any of the west coast states - driving, flying, who cares. but I do draw the line at Florida and Texas (even though my absolutely wonderful DDIL is from that state).

Sorry, TheOtherMe. Hopefully, it isn't too bad. My ex shot me down when I volunteered to sit with her so they could get some rest. That's fine. She is his mother so it is up to him.

I lost a few pounds yesterday helping a friend move for over 8 hours. I am taking it easy today.
Hugs to those that need them.

You volunteered Susana and that's what counts. What I appreciated the most was the food I could grab. But we had my grandma at home, not a hospital.
Our friends got the RV running so the tailgate is on. I'm picking up the wings now. I've got the keys and parking pass for my mom's hotel. I burnt my hilton points to get it. We rarely stay there.

Y'all the twins have been all over me today. I keep telling them to leave me alone, but they don't listen. I may have to sell them.

have you guys used bar keepers friends on glass top cook stoves? I do not use bar keepers friend on my stove. When mine looks burned on or dirty, I saturate paper towels with vinegar and let it soak for an hour or so. After the vinegar, I use a straight edge razor blade to remove the gunk. Finish with some windex and she usually shines right up.

So on a totally unrelated note considering the shit going on in my life…. several years ago, before we even started talking about living together, I got on Mister and bossed him around, telling him to at least contribute enough to his retirement account that would make his employer contribute the same amount. And I told him what fund to put the bulk of his money in. He was not happy with me telling him what to do, and recently told me he didn’t like my advice and he was looking at me crazy. But he did it anyway. A couple days ago, he came and told me “Come here” with enough urgency in his voice that I thought something was wrong. But he just wanted to tell me that his retirement account is in the 6 figures now. He was shocked because he hadn’t looked at it in a long time. Me being me, I was all smug about it and said, you only have that much money because you followed advice from a dummy, right? He wasn’t entertaining that, which was ok….. because he was so happy he was practically doing cartwheels in the den. But the truth is that he wouldn’t have that much money in his retirement account if I hadn’t been in his ear. We aren’t married now, and at the time I wasn’t even interested in marrying him, so I wasn’t giving him advice to benefit me. I was just looking out for him. But I’ve always been the “bad guy” that he needed to be careful about what he listened to that I was saying. I obviously still have some work to do myself, with sorting all that shit out, about his parents and his children having problems with me having some influence with Mister. I hope you give yourself credit for helping Mister become a man who is less easily manipulated and doesn't get his pockets picked as often. You are making him better, and it's like Brother losing his free ride, they push back.

So I have a bit of a weird problem. I live in a 2BR/2bath condo. Both bathrooms are in perfect working order and clean (the bedrooms are irrelevant to my conundrum). This morning they came and painted my front door as part of the complex painting project. Now I have to go to the loo but I need to keep my front door wide open for another three hours. So I feel the need to stay in my living room to prevent anyone from just walking in. But I've GOTTA GO yet I can't, two available bathrooms but I can't go. So if you read in the next couple of hours about an explosion caused by a bathroom emergency in the Bay Area be aware that you have just read about my pitiful demise...

We went to the Paw Paw festival in town. Pretty nice had lunch, lot of people there. They have added more walkways and concrete between areas that was hard to walk on for older or disabled folks. Are going to have a campground soon for campers. New water tower nearing completion for the town and surrounding area. Really looking nice.

You know the one about the airplane turning around Still I am not risking anyone catching me with ,literally, my pants down.

I got all sentimental going through old photos and got a wild hair up my ass to join the zoo foundation. I live over 100 miles away and haven't been there in years but for some reason it sounded like a great idea. The raise I got earlier this year is going to my head. Called up DS this morning and asked if he wanted us to pick him up to go tomorrow and he is all excited.

Something is in the air. I did the same last week. I intended to go to the zoo this week for the first time in years, but it hasn’t happened yet. It’s a relatively tiny zoo compared to others, but I do enjoy watching the otters frolic. And I’ll think of Virgil when I see the snow leopard.

Ours used to have a monorail that went around the park enclosure from above that my oldest loved to go on. About 12 years ago they shut that down, and just a few weeks ago it has been reopened as an elevated walking trail. I can't wait to check it out.

I moved to a group of garden homes with postage stamp yards. There are three or four grassy areas on just my block so walking Penny isn't a problem except . . .
Penn (aka Doofus when she does stuff like this) has discovered the joys of rolling around on her back in the grass. Repeatedly. I am sure that it IS fun, but I don't like it. There's the possibility of fleas, of course, although she could get those just walking around in the grass. And she is on a flea preventative as well as heartworm meds. But all the dogs urinate in those areas as well as poop. We pick it up, but still . . .
So Miss Penny got a bath today. She was so upset with me. She usually goes to the spa for her beauty treatments, and this was in the kitchen sink!

The American girl doll beauty salon set.i scored Abby off Ebay is a huge hit.
She turns nine tomorrow.
We had her birthday party today. Had pizza, cake and let them run wild in the park.
