WHY DO I SWEAT SO DAMN MUCH!?!? Seriously, this is ridiculous. I was out working not even that hard and my hair is soaked like I just got out of the shower. I wasn't even sweaty outside because there was a nice breeze, it wasn't until I came in the house and sat down that I became drenched. I was going to skip going to Women's Health this year for an annual, but maybe I will and ask them if this is some kind of menopause thing. I don't get hot flashes and I still am as regular as ever on the monthlies, but something is up. If they tell you it is menopause thing then I started change of life when I was around 8. I just don't sweat anywhere except my head!! Drive me bonkers since I have naturally curly/wavy hair which just gets curlier when wet. But on the upside I never looked like a drowned rat when my hair gets wet if I get caught in the rain! Oh and I never had hot flashes either so there's that!!

When we get done with our workouts that we do together I'm sweaty, he has a puddle on the ground under him.

I'm about 5 seconds from not caring about about anyone or anything but myself. Do it! I live my life that way and I love it.

It's only my head too and I never had this problem until the past couple years. I was hoping it was something that I just had to go through and would eventually go away. It really sucks.

I'm in southern Maine on the porch of YDB's beach house. It's a brilliant bouncy day. I'm going to go thrift shopping while waiting for my sibs. DH will stay here with Franklin the Dog.
I tried to take a shower this morning but no hot water, and there was a puddle under the hot water tank. Handyman tells me it's leaking from inside. It almost certainly needs to be replaced, Wednesday or Thursday, likely. It's one that has its own heater rather than needing the boiler to run all summer. That will add to the cost, I imagine. Dumb adulting. I had plans for that $$. But it could be worse. I could be in, say, Toledo or Nachez, Texas, or any place in Florida.

I was hoping it was something that I just had to go through and would eventually go away. It really sucks. My temperature regulation went to the dumpster as I approached menopause. I still had periods though, but not sure how long as they just didn’t stop, but petered out over time. I think about 6 months after my last period, I started up again (on a flight out to see TD, I had him stop at a drugstore on the way out of the airport as I figured I was done). That lasted 2-3 days and it was over. The hot flashes got worse, so finally went on hormones. They were the greatest thing ever. I took them up until my medical nightmare, and was absolutely miserable. I froze out the rehab staff, as I had the ac running at full blast in Jan in my room and still sweated through everything. They finally took pity on me (probably the staff) and gave them back. I think I was on them another year.

Plus his is for an epo instead of an hsa. What exactly is an EPO? I'm familiar with PPO and HMO, but I was seeing some EPO offerings on the MN site and have no idea how those work. From what I can tell, less restrictive than an hmo, but more restrictive tthana ppo and supposedly priced accordingly. Although dh's this is truly the cheapest plan.

Today I’m playing ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ the long distance version. My niece is shopping for her wedding dress, and I’m getting pics and commentary. It started last night, I got sent about 6 pics from her first appointment. Today, there were another 6, then it stopped. Think they’ve gone to lunch as the last pic came nearly 30 min ago, and no more. She has appointments at 2 more places today. She is looking at dresses that are all very similar. A couple have been flat out ugly. She’s got a favorite, but isn’t sure. We will have to see what happens this afternoon. Baby blanket is nearly done. I think I’ve chosen my next project, but need to buy the pattern. I really wish I could see it in advance, because that would give me a better idea if I can do it. giramomma I’m using circulars. They’re growing on me.

That epo plan has a max out of pocket of $16k a year. You pay 45% of any actual procedure. Not sure I can in good conscious sign off on that.
But the next up ppo is $1389 a month in premiums for a standard deductible of $5k a year, $11k oop max.
I checked out the exchange just for me and the costs were pretty high. I can't imagine if I actually tried to get a plan with dh and ds on it. Maybe I need to revisit that 2nd job at Starbucks idea.

Enjoying hugely deserved iced green tea after my 8K trail race this morning. Laundry is running and dinner is pretty simple tonight. This race makes next week's 5K seem easy.

If you get the hang of that, you can do socks two at a time.

Not sure this will come through. But my DD, grandson, and I.
I removed it was on messenger.
It is hot here today 88 out, high humidity. I came home from town and went to sleep for a couple hours. Will mess myself up tonight Changing time zones really gets to me. I am all out of sync again, was most of the time out there.
I wish I could post some from messenger. DIL took a good one of where hubs finished the painting on the outside of the modular. It looks really nice.
Another amenity we have here in town, is they got community support and the pool was refurbished and reopened. I like others donated money for it several times, the kids here need They have formed a Senior Club and the group is renting it and having parties, so that is very nice. We still have people with money here and people that want to support such as this in the community which helps.
We have the corn festival and get really good bands to come in from Indianapolis, they have one almost every night. A carnival for a week and all kinds of festivities.
They are also getting ready to build a hotel by our convention center. They tore down an elementary school and kept the gymnasium and refurbished it for a convention center, its rented constantly.
Then a doctor bought the old gymnasium for the high school and fixed it up and they have wrestling matches come in a few times a year and other programs. We are blessed with a wealth of restaurants. The mayor here for the last 20 years has totally revitalized this town. They are now building the new houses they had talked about for a couple of years. They are selling fast as they build them, will be 40 in town where old ones were demolished so helping restore the tax base. Also the sewer system has been updated to meet all the federal requirements, it was a mess. We are even getting a new water tower in our tiny town, that is one our city water comes from. Bet our bill really raises.
They are doing more here than in the city north of us. But when we lose this mayor, I don't know if all this progress will continue or not.

Mr. Messy died this morning.
I was at work and on the phone with Mister, he was getting dressed to go see his Dad. As soon as we hung up, Aunt D called me to tell me that the hospital had just called her to tell her he’d passed. I work too far away to have made it home before Mister left to go to the hospital, so I had to call him and tell him.
I came home and went with him to the hospital, because he wanted to go.
Both of his parents gone in less than 7 months.
This is horrible.

OMG Pink Cashmere . I am so so sorry for all your losses. Unfortunately, there probably WILL be a mess with the brother. I honestly can't believe it happened so quickly. If it's not prying, what did he actually die of? Because I just can't believe it happened so soon. DH and I lost our four parents within less than two years, many years ago. It was extremely hard, and it was the fastest we'd ever heard of at that point. Mister has us beat. My heart goes out to both of you. PS I know Mr Messy often (understandably!) irritated the heck out of you. But please remember, you welcomed him into your home every other weekend, in spite of his antics and the stress it caused you. His last memories of you will be you stroking his head and playing the music he loved. You can be SO hard on yourself, Pink. PLEASE go easy on yourself, for once.

I am so sorry for everyone's loss Pink Cashmere, and so glad that some of his last hours were filled with the touch and voices of those he loved, and the music that enriched his life for so long. I will pray for comfort and strength for you and Mister through the days ahead, some of which will be challenging.

I’m not sure what the exact cause of death will be, but I’m guessing pneumonia. Plus, he’s wanted to die ever since his wife died in February. Aunt D said this morning how he’s been saying so often that he wanted to die. I didn’t realize he’d been saying it to other members of his family too. I am really worried about Mister. He is not okay.
