I guess I'm going to need a new air cleaner. I hadn't used mine in a couple of years. I dug it out of the basement complete with new filter due to the wildfires. Apparently G type filters no longer exist. I hate this kind of crap. Check on eBay. They are my go-to for anything like that. The other thing that sometimes works is the manufacturers' site. On occasion I have found leftover parts there or even by calling them. Good luck! I'm seeing them on Amazon as well as at least one manufacturer's website - thought it may not be the manufacturer of WVU's unit. At one time I had sort of a similar problem with our humidifiers. I managed to find my way to the manufacturer's website and I found out that the wicking filters I had were indeed discontinued. But, it was because they were replaced by some other letter. That replacement letter was available easily from multiple sources. Maybe it's something like that? A discontinued original replaced by a new letter?

Tomorrow is Friday which means running the cleaning cycle on the coffee maker, cleaning the bathrooms, and fixing dinner which will be turkey tostados. I have to rinse and fill the bird baths again too. I might or might not find motivation for typing up a few more chapters of my author's book.
I'm still fighting the good fight with my fellow directors online - nothing to lose there. That's a blessing of aging.

When I got home from work today, all I wanted to do was sit on my butt in my happy place, on the deck. But the bush beans in the planter on the deck were screaming at me that they needed attention. I wanted so badly to ignore them, because they’ve started creeping me out anyway with all the ugly leaves. But I couldn’t do it. So I got my gloves and scissors and groomed them, then watered them and everything else on the deck. It sure is easier to just turn the faucet on and let the drip irrigation system water the tomatoes. And because I’m a weirdo, I still had a banana plant that I randomly purchased a few weeks ago, inside the house, and I’d noticed when I got home from work, that it wasn’t looking too good. I actually bought 2, and had already planted the other one outside. I wanted to ignore how the one in the house was suddenly looking so pitiful today, but I couldn’t do that either, and I ended up repotting it and bringing it outside. I’m pretty sure that pot isn’t quite big enough and it will probably have to be dealt with again soon but that’s what I had on hand, so oh well. But it should be a lot happier for a little while, than it was. One of Mister’s best friends has recently gotten into gardening and Mister sends him pics of the beans and tomatoes and his friend oohs and ahhs over them. It kind of irritates me because his friend is the active gardener in his household, and the pictures Mister shows him are not because of any work Mister has done to tend to the plants. He helped me put the elevated bed on the deck together, and he installed the drip irrigation in the container with the tomatoes. That’s IT. I’ve done everything else by myself or with the help of my DS. So I kinda feel like Mister doesn’t get bragging rights to try to show off when he and his friend are talking about gardening. I am not usually so petty, yet, here I am. And that’s not even the biggest thing I’m feeling petty about. I'm going to be honest and tell you, I read this and laughed. You really do have a gardener's spirit. Let me know when the plants start talking to you though. I have plenty of stories and lullabies you can use to soothe them It’s more than okay that you laughed. Sometimes I laugh at myself. So far, my plants either nag at me or scream at me, there doesn’t seem to be a middle ground yet. And my response on days like today usually involves some cussing, like “OKAY! SHIT! Here’s some damn water or whatever tf you act like you need! Now STFU and leave me tf alone, please.” I’m clearly not the best plant Momma, but I do try. Plants are supposed to be easy and undemanding, unlike humans. I ain’t tryna sing no lullabies though. Yet.

This thread moves fast, so I was about 3 pages behind. I just went back and caught up.
Ya'll know I just threatened DH with divorce today because he was trying to put my egg pan in the dishwasher? I told him if I explained it to the judge the judge would quite obviously agree with me. You don't put the egg pan in the dishwasher! You hand wash it gently. With care.

tomorrow, I'll be interacting with M for the first time since Memorial Day weekend. I'm posting now, in case I need bail. lol... she's texted a group thread twice since then, and shot a reaction emoji to a couple pup posts of mine on FB. but we haven't actually spoken since she told me to GFY. the pups are crashing there b/c my need for coverage is a family event, so I can't ask my mom b/c she's gonna be there too. I reached out to mooch, solo, and it all sounded fantastic. as I wound down the week, I realized that I was probably gonna end up in bridge traffic tomorrow if I wait for him to get home from work. he said well, if you head down midday, M is WFH. oy. wish me luck..... I cracked back "heh, will she let me in the house??"

It was a Holmes type G. They have completely changed their filters. I tried searching what it was replaced by and got nothing. I've tried ebay, Amazon, random websites and come up with nothing in stock.
It seems like I quit using it at some point after I moved in with DH in 2018. The wildfires made the air so bad even inside that I dug it out. I still had a fresh filter but now it needs replaced.
I was going to go to Lowe's with a tape measure and see if I could find a replacement. But DH went without me and came home with nothing.
Pans, knives and storage containers do not go in the dishwasher. And I hate hand washing dishes.

Mister’s Aunt is back in the hospital. I’m out of patience with her. I’m out of patience with his Dad. I’m on the verge of having run out of patience with Mister. His Aunt told brother she’s just going to sell the house and move to a retirement home. That’s hilarious. She apparently can’t even afford to live in the modest house she lives in now, that’s been paid for forever, courtesy of her Mother. So how tf can she afford to just move into a retirement community?! And she can’t just sell the house anyway. A few weeks ago Mister and I were talking about the house, and I looked it up online on the tax assessor’s website, and stressed Mister out by telling him that the house is actually owned by Aunt AND his Mom. Which I guess means that Mister’s Dad is a joint owner now, if they ever settle that mess out. Auntie can’t just jump up and sell what she doesn’t own 100%. And the condition the house is in, it’s worth about a negative $50. So even if she could just sell it, it won’t go far to help her pay to live somewhere else. I’m obviously still rather cranky. I’m not sad or feeling hopeless, my nerves are just really bad. I’ve never been the most patient person, and I’ve never had a lot of tolerance for bullshit. And right now, I’m at an all time low with both. Don't jump to conclusions on Aunt's house. Tax records indicate WHO the owners are, but they usually don't indicate HOW the owners took title to the property, and it makes a big difference. Quick research tells me that your state has four ways that real estate owners can hold title (as a single person, a married couple, as joint tenants with rights of survivorship, and as tenants in common). This is specified on the deed. Aunt's situation involves two owners, not a married couple, so that crosses off the first two. The difference between joint tenants and tenants in common is this. blueprinttitle.com/tennessee-deeds-and-vesting/#:~:text=Tennessee%20recognizes%20four%20basic%20types,tenants%2C%20and%20tenants%20in%20common.&text=In%20this%20type%20of%20ownership,homestead%2C%20or%20dower%20and%20curtesy.
Joint Tenants in TennesseeTennessee recognizes joint tenancy with right of survivorship as a common form of joint ownership for non-spouses. This form allows multiple people or entities to own a title interest to the property, and comes with various rights and responsibilities. In particular, joint tenancies with right of survivorship involve all parties having equal ownership and the right to assume another owner’s interest in the event the other owner dies. Tenancy in Common in TennesseeTennessee also recognizes tenancy in common as a form of co-ownership for non-spouses. Tenancy in common allows multiple owners to own title in a property, but rather than owning equally, the owners can set varying ownership percentages. For example, one owner could own 51% of the property, with the other owning 49%. Additionally, an owner’s share would pass to the owner’s heirs upon death, rather than passing to the other tenants in common.
So only if Aunt and Mister's Mom took title as tenants in common would Mister's Dad inherit Mom's share when she passed. My brain is kinda on leave right now, so I don’t really understand what you are trying to tell me. I apologize for that. Mister’s Mom’s Mother owned the house in question and paid the mortgage off before she died. Mister’s Mom and Aunt were her only children, and I guess, inherited the house after their Mom died. Mister’s Aunt lived there with their Mom when their Mom died, and has lived there ever since. The property is listed now as owned by Mister’s Aunt, and his Mom. Are you saying that since Mister’s Mom has passed, the house could be just his Aunt’s property solely now? I am really only asking just because I am curious. If it’s his Aunt’s house solely, now that his Mom has passed, whatever. I actually think that would be a relief for Mister. And if Auntie can just do whatever she wants to with it, if she sells it, I’m not going to be all lovey dovey if things don’t work out like she planned and she comes running to Mister, expecting him to take money out of our household to take care of her after all the foolish decisions she’s made. I mean, if having toes cut off your vain, pretty self doesn’t wake you up and make you realize you need to make better decisions regarding your health, Idk that anything will. And it’s not my job to help Mister help you keep being reckless with your health and try to help keep your home not be a health hazard because it’s so nasty that you can’t even navigate through it and rodents are comfortable living with you.

The orange juice did it, now I'm fine.
I was just talking to hubs, I told him, you know I think we need to sell all the places. I told him look how hard he is having to work on these places when people move and we get ready to sell. Some of it is just wear and tear but the last 2 have been more. If he didn't fix them we would get little out of them. He said, yes, I think you are right, its likely time to get out of this. I told him, you are getting to old to keep doing the work and I am too. He said yes, I think so. Besides, I think we could clear between $140k to $170k out of what we have left will give us a tidy sum to add to our savings and get interest off it and help son too. We can't do it this year anyway but we can next year. I told him if inflation doesn't go down it's going to be harder and harder to get renters in our area that can pay. And the last 2 have been a mess and I'm tired of cleaning up after people like that.
Also we are running out of time anyway because of our age, so might as well do it while we can still fix them and sell them. We can likely do our work the next year or so but it is coming to an end. With me gone and not being able to help it is all falling on him. I usually do all the cleaning part. I'm glad to hear him agree and not have to argue about it. That makes me feel better, because its time.

I have my fingers crossed for you thought that if you take measurements you'll be able to find a replacement. I'm picky about what brand of replacements I'll buy because there are a lot of brands that are made overseas so I'm just don't trust them. I've been lucky that since it's a humidifier with a pretty basic sized boxed filter that I can always find someplace reputable. Good luck! Also - I don't hand wash dishes. If I hand wash dishes, I won't be cooking for at least 7 days straight. I'm very fortunate that DH prefers my cooking to his, and 90% of the time I enjoy cooking. Which means our deal is I cook and he washes dishes. Loading the dishwasher doesn't actually bother me, but I grew up in a time where children were seen and not heard. And children were also used like little Cinderellas. Hand washing dishes will set me off in a big way and send me down a not good train of thought. I'm lucky to have DH even if he did try to put my egg pan in the dishwasher.

And it’s not my job to help Mister help you keep being reckless with your health and try to help keep your home not be a health hazard because it’s so nasty that you can’t even navigate through it and rodents are comfortable living with you. She's saying....maybe. What she is saying is that the tax records only tell you who owns something. You have to find the actual deed to figure out how much of something somebody owns. If the property is held as joint tenants with rights of survivorship, then it means when one of the owners dies (Mom) the other owner (Aunt) owns all of the property because the Aunt holds rights of survivorship. The rights to ownership survive the death so to speak. I mean, that's not the legal definition but it's a good enough layman's description for my tiny little brain. If the property is held as joint tenants in common, then it means when one of the owners die (Mom) the rights of that owner can be passed down through inheritance. Either a will or intestate law of the state of the decedent. Because they held rights in common and no owner held rights of survivorship. The point is, the actual deed of ownership is all that matters. The tax records alone don't indicate the details of legal ownership. Here's a real world example. One that I will probably never speak of again. My parent owned a single piece of property. Ownership according to the deed was joint tenants in common. My parent owned 50% of this property with their sibling (my aunt). When my parent died, the rights of ownership were then subjected to the edicts of my parent's will where my sibling and I jointly inherited everything my parent owned. This means, my sibling and I now own my parent's interest in the piece of property. Our aunt has 50% ownership and my sibling and I both have 25%. The problem was, my aunt is an idiot. My aunt decided that when my parent died that they owned 100% of the property. And that was a big fat no. The deed was not joint tenants with rights of survivorship. My aunt did not have survivorship rights over my parent's interest in the property. That was a rude awakening to my aunt to say the least.

Well kids may not get dinner. DIL took little guy swimming in the lake and I bet they are still there. Someone comes that he plays with on Thursday so didn't want him to miss that. Doesn't matter to me, I'm not hungry and DD will be happy with just cole slaw and deviled eggs plus a sandwich.
I've had my bath and kicking back relaxing. I had called hubs and told him I really miss he and the kitties. Probably shouldn't have said that putting him on the same level as kitties, LOL! But I really miss my furry little boys, hope they remember me.
And I want some of that cole slaw bad, I ground it fine. I had a boiled egg.
I've recovered some but still tired. Have the AC on in here and its 75, comfortable for me.
Saw our light bills back home, month before $24, last month just cam out $43, so will off set this one.
I told hubs I stained the front porch, he said no one will see it but the maintenance man. Doesn't matter to me, I see it and it looks nice, need to get pics.

I would ask the probate office about the house when Mister gets an appointment. They looked up my grandma's house, checked how it was titled and put in to have it redone in my dad and uncle's names. I forgot exactly how it was.
The other biggie that doesn't go in the dishwasher, vac sealed cups like my Yeti knock offs. The dishwasher ruins them.

I've never figured out the reason, but if I start feeling weak or shaky, I scramble a couple of eggs to eat, and that works for me. The way the human body works is weird, and everyone is a little different. Mom always suggested keeping some fruit juice in the fridge if you tend to have low blood sugar. My Dad had to check his blood sugar multiple times a day, as he ended up with Type 2 diabetes. I'm just thinking out loud this evening. I need to get to bed pretty soon.

My condo has no A/C so for the few days it is actually hot I use a portable version. Last year, whole putting the unit away for the season the exhaust hose (or whatever that thing is called- the hot air gets blown out through it) detached and I have not been able to re-attach it with my arthritic hands - no strength in your hands sucks big time!. So I went to Costco, saw one on sale and proceeded to buy that one -> online. As a result the nice UPS man was in charge of carrying it upstairs. Today I put the unit with the detached hose on the FB buy nothing site. I disclosed the problem I had so people would know what they were getting. Less than half an hour later it was picked up. Someone is now happy to cool their child's bedroom down and I am rid of the excess unit. I may not be the most handy or tech savvy person but I consider this success all around I have no strength in my hands, either, plus my broken wrist is still hurting me. I can't open anything, even my windows, or cat food that has a peel-off top. Zero strength. I'm so glad I bought that Robo Twist...it really works! Opens all jars with no problem. In other news, the thunderstorm came with really high winds and hail. It knocked out the power, broke my tomato plant, and whipped my herbs out of the window box. I don't think I have enough basil left for my pesto. Fuck When the power came back on, I had no internet or TV. I spent over an hour on the phone with a Bell technician, from India of course. I didn't understand a word he was saying, and I had to keep yelling at him. 'Can you speak up? I'm deaf!'

I don't have the strength I used to but still making it.
I agree lack of protein can do it too, but I had some KFC so wasn't that, must have been lack of sugar. And yes in the mornings, I have scrambled eggs, that protein holds me for quite awhile.
I was so tired I just couldn't put the step ladder up so left it in front of my window. Going to rescrape the windows on half of the home as I didn't get all the black spots off on this side. But the windows really look shiny when cleaning them with water, ammonia, and cleaning vinegar.

Good morning, warrior invisipeeps, doing battle with irritants and miscreants of all life forms and inanimate objects that need attention. Welcome to Friday. I hope your day finds your efforts are rewarded handsomely. And, that all dust-ups from the days before are resolved to your satisfaction. Today I'll be readying for the marketplace tomorrow. I need to frame some more 5 x 7's, mat some other pics, and put price stickers on almost everything. And, hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast. The weather is nothing if not variable. I spent yesterday playing more with my website. I reduced the watermark from my 3 initials to just one which helps the images look better. And I categorized the photos. Now I need to figure out how to get the categories listed on the site pages. I'll print some more business cards, too. I put rocks in the weight bags to steady the legs of the canopy in the event of wind. That should work. I don't have a dedicated egg pan. Of course, I don't care for runny yolks except in poached eggs, so it isn't a problem. I can cook DH's over easy eggs without an issue. My non-stick pans do get hand washed. We're due for some rain later today. Yesterday morning Franklin the Dog and I saw the sun rise, unobscured by smoke or cloud cover.

Gearing up for a 9AM meeting, though I don't wanna. Changing the short getaway to a full week of vacation next week has definitely put me into vacation mode.

Reading about Lisa Marie. Her story is pretty damn ironic. I googled, because I didn't remember her being like Melissa McCarthy or Chrissy Metz.
I mean, I also know how childhoods follow us for our whole lives...it's different seeing that in someone else though. You'll notice that the article on abc doesn't mention weight loss surgery. Of course she's eating small portions. She's got no place to put the food.
Granted, she could have had the surgery after the article came out. But, folks are saying "years ago."
I'm not saying we should all go out and eat our weight in cheese curds and fries every day. It also seems like there's a happy medium between that and going to extreme measures, like surgery, if you have just a few extra pounds.

Yes, I am saying that since Mister's Mom passed, Aunt may own all the house OR Mister's Dad may own half the house. It depends on how title is held, and you'd probably have to look at the deed to figure it out. MarionTh230 's example is perfect. The names on the title are only part of the story.

20+ years ago dh asked for new pots/pans for Christmas and got them from his parents. On the drive home he tells me they must be hand washed which I had some choice words for. But keeping the choice words to myself, I said that's fine dear, just don't get rid of my pans. I'll keep using those and putting them in the dishwasher and you can use your nice ones and hand wash them. He tripped over himself for a while but there wasn't an argument to be had. I did everything at that point and no, I wasn't going to add hand washing anything to the list.
For years his set mostly set in the cabinet. At some point though keeping 2 sets of pots and pans didn't make sense and I didn't have room for pots and pans in the dishwasher so I acquiesced. We still have 3 from that set he asked for all those years ago. Then last night dh actually helped with dishes which I appreciated. Appreciated until he made a snarky comment to ds that he had done so many dishes in the last few days when he hadn't used any. Cry me a fucking river honey and learn what being a parent is 14 years later. I know he isn't feeling well but I need to tell him that one is still bothering me.
Oh but the point of that book was that the dishes that dh mustered the strength to do last night was putting 3 pots in the dishwasher including my brand new little fry pan! I was annoyed. He could have at least asked. I pulled them all out, hand washed and stacked them as high as I possibly could in the dish drainer.

That article is way before her surgery I believe. I was under the impression it was just in the past few years.

We had a bad hail storm last night. It's crazy how often they are happening these days. I don't think we got it as bad as a few miles from us where car windows were busted out and crops shredded, but it was really pounding on the house. I didn't have time to make a damage assessment before work, all I noticed was the banana tree got kind of shredded.
I keep hoping I can get a siding claim out of one of these things, but they just keep taking the roof and leaving the siding.

Mister is under no obligation to do anything for his aunt from a legal standpoint. He was never named her POA on anything. The best thing he can do for himself is continue to refuse to accept liabilty for her. Don't bring her home from the hospital, don't answer the phone, nada. With as many times as she has been in the hospital to date eventually the state will likely step in and they will put her somewhere. Especially if the EMTS start testifying about the condition of her house. She likely isn't going to get a vote on where she goes. If/when that happens the nursing home and state will try to get Mister to deal with it but he can rightly tell them to go Fuck a duck. The nursing home and state will be forced to deal with the house and whoever owns it. They will have to fix whatever mess her finances are in in order to get her approved to be on Medicaid. They will do everything they can to get Mister to accept her but refuse. Once they have taken her in they cannot legally kick her out unless they can prove there is a "safe" place for her to go. If she can't go home and Mister won't come get her they'll have to eat the costs and figure it out. Basically he has to abandon his aunt. My dad literally wheeled GU into the ER and told the desk "He's your problem" and walked out. Then he refused to answer his phone. The hospital could not discharge GU without someone to take care of him so they had to figure it out. We had to be more involved with grandma because they were going to send her home! So we had to push a little harder with Mercy Hospital but same gist that finally got her into the home. It really sucks but that's what it takes sometimes. You can't save people from themselves nor should you. Mister does need to check out about who owns the house and how that works inheritance wise because it could affect his dad getting Medicaid down the road. That is not a right this minute need but it is a sooner rather than later need because based on our experience once one old person falls they all fall.

I'm happy it's Friday. I have to go deal with the pharmacy on my lunch break. From what I can see online they billed my prescription incorrectly. I will be generous and assume they selected the wrong thing in a hurry. It's showing up in my claims as powder not a 90 day bottle of tablets.
