We had a nice 1/4" of rain today which was wonderful. Tomorrow I need to hit up a local store for more weed killer and spray the other half of the backyard flagstone, plus the front areas, and trim some other stuff. Weather forecast says next week will be 100+ again and I just can't do that much outdoors at that temp. Or maybe I can, and just don't want to. I'm not sure where that line lies anymore and I'm scared to find out but think I will have to soon.

Just went out with the twins. More fireworks tonight so it was short lived because Macy wasn't having it. Hopefully it stops before I go to bed and I can let them out again just in case.

Had diarrhea all night off and on. Had to end up with some of DD's depends, gross.
I know I ate too much but this is the second time, I'm thinking its the ozempic?? Yet goes from one extreme to another. They told me I could reduce the dosage anytime so I have this time. That didn't help, maybe will later, I don't know. But all the burping, belching, and gas pains are not something I'm going to live with. If it's that may have to stop it. NO problem for DD at least not yet.
Didn't eat anything today till now and had tomato soup, same results. Humm, have to work on this. I just thought it was from overeating last night.
Grandson just told me something that makes me think we made a mistake buying this. He said grandma, next summer I want to go to your house for the summer. I said are you missing grandpa, he said yes. I know they get out in the yard, on the tractor and all sorts of stuff. We thought he was doing soccer in the summer so couldn't leave, now it looks up in the air. DIL says oh he loves it and wants to do it?? He hasn't said a word about it, think he tries to please his mom. I'm thinking I will talk to them and see about flying home middle of August and taking him and letting him stay till school starts if they will. We have fairs and things he can go too. I'm wondering if he enjoys being a country boy more. So if we don't use this all summer and just come up in December, its not worth the expense. Oh boy. We will all have to talk about this.
He and I walked down to the dock at the end of the street and sat at a picnic table for awhile, it is so pretty out here and we watched the boats on the lake. There are places to cook out and the picnic tables are covered so very pleasant. It's uphill walking back but I made it.
I know he would get outside more down there than here and maybe we could get that pool we talked about or take him to the community pool, he really liked that. He is very friendly so I think would eventually make friends.
The temp on the porch showed 104 today I don't think it was that bad but it was very hot, the grass is all dead. And we were hot walking down and back. The little AC in here is doing a good job. It was 75, I turned it on early this morning while still cool. I turned it warmer awhile ago so says 77, I could turn it down more but we are comfy. It's to get 49 tonight so I expect the furnace to come on, have it set for 65 so no sense having it really cold in here. I run a fan in the dining room and it circulates it pretty good. Have to see what this heat pump costs. May not need to do it.
Got a call today, they are coming to fix our solar panels tomorrow that need the snap things replaced under warranty, finally. Should help lower our electric bills more, Yah Rah!!

Yikes! It's still scary, having someone unknown in your yard, wanting to come inside your house! I'm so glad your DD and GS reacted the way they did, so they are safe! How are you feeling today? Not the best, but I’ll be okay. Thank you for asking. I wish you could be stress free for a prolonged period of time, so you could verify if it's stress, or something else (what) is causing your pain. Sorry that doesn't seem to be happening. But I'm glad you were able to enjoy some time with your family recently and enjoy the fruits of your labor (garden). That makes me happy.

They had fireworks till 1:30 this morning. Most people were smart enough to quit at 11:30. But we must have had someone with deep pockets because the ones going off after that were LOUD. Great big booms. All late afternoon it sounded like a war zone here, it was awful. I feel so sorry for people that had to go to work today. Grandson was sleep enough he managed to fall asleep finally.
I was up and down all night anyway, but slept quite a bit. I feel find tonight, so maybe I just ate something that didn't agree with me, who knows.
I have taken little guy out walking twice today, we just got back again. I think he needs exercise to get the acids or whatever it is that settles in muscles from not moving enough. I need it too. Going to try to go on short walks to get DD better.
I saw some guy watering plants and he didn't even speak, just looked at me and I imagine he is thinking what is a kid doing out here. You have to have one person over 55 live here and noone under 35. But I've seen younger people here swimming so I"m guessing grandkids, but they are in their teens? Lots of boats on the lake today.
We just finished watching the first Back To the Future, grandson and I are watching the second one tomorrow night. He really liked it. And with us walking, he said he was tired, good.

Neither dc or I can sleep. We've finished 1 book we were only half way through when we laid down 3 hours ago. I think we'll start another. I just gave them 2 melatonin gummies so hopefully they'll fall asleep soon. Ds is getting false low alarms which will keep me up unfortunately, but last night and now tonight are the first in ages that I've had trouble sleeping at least.

It's after 5AM and I haven't slept. I'll probably nap at some point today. I'm glad I have that option!

I zonked out last night. We stayed up watching the O's game and went to bed around 10:30 - I did not move a muscle until after 4, which is unheard of for me. Used the potty and right back to sleep, at least until DH's alarm went off at 6.
Rare day with no meetings on the schedule. Likely to change as coworker and I discussed the radio silence from our manager after the meeting yesterday, which is highly uncommon. Thinking maybe he feels bad because he led us one direction for our presentations, while everyone else was going in a completely different direction. But I think we pivoted well.

Frustrated with myself for oversleeping two days in a row now. I somehow managed to get out the door (including barn chores) in under 15 minutes and made it on time.

Wow. I awoke at my typical 3:00, had a cup of coffee and was working on some pictures. Now I just awoke again. Must be really tired.

Drug a good chunk of my Star Wars collection home last night because I decided I want it back after it has been sitting in my parents' basement since college. I got it all out and laid it out on the table. DH was like "WOW". Apparently he did not realize how big of an uber nerd his wife actually is.

I went to bed early last night to make up for the night before. I'm no longer exhausted, but I kind of feel foggy from sleeping too long. Coffee should perk me right up!

Apparently since I am applying internally I have to talk to my supervisor before I apply it's company policy. She's on vacation so I will talk to her when I get back.
I am going to apply for that position. Even if I do not get it that is good practice and a learning opportunity for me because I have never had the opportunity to even try to move up before. I need to go through my resume and polish it up which is also a good exercise I haven't done that since switching from my old job.

And even if you don't get the job, you will show people that you are interested in upward mobility.
ETA: I do hope you get it!

I'm sitting out on the deck, working in some particular applications. I've been logged in for about 2h already, and I just noticed that I haven't opened Outlook. oops. lol.... luckily there wasn't anything super HOT in there. mooch texted a little while ago to let me know he was on his way. he's finishing up the dog wash station in the outdoor shower, and piping in a sink for the tiki bar today. I didn't realize he took this week off from his regular job, but that works. yay! ETA: boo. sink may not be getting installed today. apparently I bought a super cheapo POS. thanks, Amazon. this will be getting returned. but at least he's putting in the PEX piping from the water heater in the shed. when my am calls are over, we're going to head out to Home Depot and see what they have in stock. today's going to be expensive, I see.

Gyno wants to do an ultrasound to check for polyps, as I have had them in the past. Other than that not too concerned about the spotting, but is adding thyroid check to bloodwork.
I like this office. Their patient portal is top notch, and makes it easy to communicate. Not sure if there will be separate charge for that communication, but like DH said I've neglected that part of my health for far too long so whatever it takes to make sure everything is ok.

I know it's wrong in many ways, but sometimes it's hard not to get a little bit of a giggle when self-inflicted damages bite someone who puts a LOT of energy into convincing folks how smart they are about everything under the stars.

Just got over a 5 minute sneezing fit. Not sure what brought that on, but going to do a nose flush and may double up on the Zyrtec.

You're a comfort to Mister in his grief, Pink Cashmere . I feel sad, too, reading your words. Hugs to both of you. I sure hope so. I’m not nearly as close to my Mom as he was to his, and even though she drives me nuts and makes me very angry sometimes, I am still glad that my Mom is still here on this earth with me. I just keep praying that maybe one day we can have a normal Mother and Daughter relationship before our time runs out. Thank you for the hugs. Pink, I am so sorry your DD and her family had this experience. Glad they are all ok. I know what you mean about your Mom. My Mom had dementia. I have been taking her to Church every Saturday b/c I don't want her to drive, and I like knowing that she is not sitting alone in church. I have also gotten way more involved in her finances than I have time for, but nevertheless, I have offered to take over her bill paying (she turned me down). Yesterday I went to her house on my "lunch hour" and was there about 3 hours trying to unwind someone taking over her e-mail. She is having company today, so I will review it tomorrow. I still am worried about recovery information. It was set up, but I was not able to find where my cell phone was listed in the account. I think AT&T is blocking it. I thought of Drama and her anxiety issues, and I really feel for her trying to deal with her Grandma's stuff and the unreasonable nursing home people. Obviously, Mister has a lot on his plate, and sadly I think it is only the beginning of things for him. It is like a frog in a boiling pot of water. But anyways, I keep thinking as much as some of Mom's issues drive me nuts, I am just glad she is still with me. I know she make get to the point in the future where she does not know me, but right now she knows who I am, it is just that she will ask a question, I answer it, and a few minutes later she will ask the same question again. DH said have her write it down, I said, it doesn't matter. Yesterday when I was there working on her computer, I was so stressed out I was nearly crying. Computer shit is not my ball of wax, and I should have been at work-but I am not concerned my work will give me trouble about it. They have had similar issues with their Mom, but they have way more resources, so they have her in a facility where she is safe and cared for.

That sounds like an impossible feat. I just have 2 rabbits to feed in my basement and I could not get up, get dressed feed the rabbits and get out the door in 15 minutes. My morning routine also includes a 1/2 hour walk with my 2 dogs, but I just walk them, then they get in the car with DH and he drops them off at his parents for the day. They are very spoiled and don't like being left alone in the house. DD says they are not even happy if she is home with them. They wine and cry for DH and I. I was very tired yesterday morning as we were up much later than normal b/c we went to my in-laws to watch the fireworks. Glad we are kind of on a normal schedule rn, but DH is having his brothers in and out to help with constructing the Gazebo/Pergola structure. He wants me to leave early tomorrow afternoon, b/c he plans to quit working around 3 and go work on the Gazebo.

I need to go through my resume and polish it up which is also a good exercise I haven't done that since switching from my old job. Good luck. Hopefully your Supervisor will be supportive. My DD has been applying for internal jobs and it is hit and miss whether she gets an interview. She has figured out that if she has met the staff she will be working with she usually gets an interview. If she has not met them/does not have a personal connection she does not get an interview. Recently her direct supervisor told her that after she leaves her current work situation, he has something to tell her about the management sher reports to on paper. DD worked at another airport for 3 years, then transferred here. She was on the job 4 months, then applied for and got a Temporary Duty assignment. There are about 20 people on the team and they are part of HR, but b/c it is a TDY they don't have a department, so all the team members are still part of their original departments on Paper, then they get re-imbursed for the employee p/r costs. So, when DD applies for an internal position, the notification goes to the local Management, and the Manager says she does not know DD and she cannot complete the referral. DD says there are like 2 questions for them to answer like Date of hire and attendance, and the woman says she can't fill it out? DD has gotten numerous interviews, and the team she is on keep setting her up to talk to high up people in corporate to help further her career goals. Her actual department manager who is pretty high up in HR just gave her a glowing recommendation letter to get into Grad School. She is going to apply next at an airport where they know a lot of people and her boyfriend says if she goes there, he is planning to apply for a soon to be open position there too. I am very excited for you NMD. It sounds like a very good fit for your skills.

Bean me and Jerseyguy always wanted a gazebo! Is it in your yard? Enjoy This is where it is going. Those posts are down, and DH started over with a kit from Sams Club. It is Backyard Discovery 24 x 10 Cordova Gazebo with Electric. I took a screen Shot but it is not letting me add it.

A normal morning for me I'm usually out the door in less than 30. I will never, ever be a morning person and take every second of sleeping in I can get.
Today though was just the basics on warp speed. Instead of going out to do chores, then coming back in and changing my shoes and getting my lunch I loaded everything up in the car and made a quick pit stop at the barn before heading straight to work. All I have to do for morning chores is feed the cats, put hay in the outside pen and let Gus and the goat out, and open the chicken coop door. I can have that done before the song changes on the radio in the car.

The heat is brutal again today. I was contemplating a move to the Arctic, to live with the polar bears. DS came over today and installed the air conditioner. Bliss!
