Happy Mother’s Day Everyone! Very busy weekend for us, next weekend will be a repeat of this weekend as one of my nephews will be visiting from Minnesota. We will be celebrating my FIL’s 81st Birthday. I am doing a squat challenge this month. Today was 130 squats. You rest every 4th day. Last day is the 30th 250 squats. I should also be doing sit ups, but baby steps. I hope everyone is feeling well. DS’s girlfriend is really struggling with spring allergies. Girl! You're not going to know what to do with all that booty! If you keep consistent you're going to have some serious cake. Lol, Today was 140. I fell asleep earlier, woke up thinking I still had 20 squats left to do. Luckily it was 11:40, so I had time to finish the final 20. 😀

Trying to remember that I like my job. The nascent migraine and whiplash ending to the call on Friday are not helping. Trainwreck project pulled it together and gave a thoroughly reasonable funding presentation a couple of weeks ago. We were expecting 6 weeks funding then to go back and ask for the rest of it. What we got was 6 weeks funding and instructions to validate the new approach, publish it, and resubmit for consideration as a new project I can’t honestly disagree-new approach looks really promising but the existing team doesn’t have the right experience to tackle it properly, and they also don’t understand that they don’t have the right experience. Given that they’ve been in varying levels of denial that their initial hypothesis didn’t work for over a year I guess that’s not surprising. Still, super fun to bend over backward trying to shove them over the finish line and then get scolded for overstepping my assigned role. That's awful. I hope things improve... Soon.

Talked to nephew last night. He gave me the address of their new place. While I didn't see their exact unit, I was able to find lots of photos of various units in the building when they have been for sale or rent. It overlooks Lake Ontario and the views are gorgeous. He had told me the den (they chose not to get one with a den) was basically about 5 or 6 feet wide and the only thing in most of the ones they looked at was a desk. In his building that was true. It's certainly not what I think of or a den. His mother (she's not my sister ) has been ranting at him about them not coming to his nephew's graduation party. They close on the condo on June 2. Party is June 3. I am the only person willing to drive to Chicago to pick them up, which irks him. They have to be out of their apartment by June 15. They don't have time to go to a few hour graduation party to a kid that barely speaks to them when they are here. She is also very upset that I knew they had bought a condo before she did. I will not tell her I know the address and have looked on Google maps to see the area. I have also checked hotel prices in the area and they are outrageous. Like hotels in the US, since they are close to the Blue Jays stadium, Hockey Hall of Fame, Scotiabank, etc., they all have surge pricing when events are happening. Many I couldn't book a room for more than 2 days, because an event is happening and it's sold out. I will have to find places farther out. I had thought out by the airport, but that is too far out. I'm glad you have such a good relationship with him and his family (wife and child). I hope you are able to find a place to stay, that works for you, when you need it.

Made it to the hotel in Ohio, training starts at 7am tomorrow. Gah. That's cruel and unusual! FYI- I "liked" your post, because you "made it". I agree. Training that starts that early, is horrible!

Off to the Giant Causeway in Belfast. Today was a cluster)$&.
There are 2 excursions, about an hour apart. When we got on, the bus was really full. Viking tends to have tour groups anywhere from 15-22 people, so quite unusual. It looks like some did not pay attention to the correct number on their ticket. We lost about half the bus!

What a great critical thinker! She is going to be either a great mystery writer or the next great criminal mastermind. The apple certainly didn't fall far from the tree with that one but I have to say I like the way she thinks. Upon your recommendation, I've just started reading, "Murder Your Employer: The McMasters Guide to Homicide by Rupert Holmes." Did you know he wrote The Piña Colada Song? Thanks for the book shout out. I've put it on hold and I put this on hold as well. Swamp story : a novel by Barry, Dave

Up because I did not fall back asleep and I have plans for about 7AM today. (Going to cross the very busy 4 lane street to buy allergy meds, etc.)
Fed Moon Shadow some hay, then his morning pellets followed by his vitamin C crunchy after I got my tater tots out of the oven. Sometimes potato stuff especially with skin on helps me sleep. I filled up my morning juice glass with juice plus my chia seeds for fiber. Have Moon Shadow yet another handful of hay and did a quick attempt with a cooked cricket in tongs for Crestie. Crestie sniffed at it, really stuck out tongue to taste the air near it but did not strike. Put it in his food dish as I hope to try to sleep the last hour before my alarm goes off. Or at least return to bed to rest.
Still high tree pollen for the foreseeable future. Luckily in that overnight temps went down so 7AM and shortly after will be in the 50s. High is probably high 70s today.

Slept really well last night, now need to get moving. The site is less than 10 minutes from the hotel, but I don't want to get out of bed. Had a lovely ice cream outing with ners yesterday evening!

Need to get moving. Found out yesterday I have to get a x-ray before seeing surgeon this morning. The place only opens a 1/2 before my appointment with the surgeon. Thinking I am going to be late for the appointment.

DH and I just made plans to go away overnight Memorial Day weekend. How is Memorial Day only 1.5 weeks way?! also, I ate something for dinner that’s not sitting too well. And it was a super bland dinner (chicken, veggies, mashed potatoes)! Ugh. I meant to also say that I hope that whatever isn’t sitting too well with your stomach, settles sooner, rather than later. My stomach issues have been so bad for so long, that I don’t wish those kind of issues on anybody I even halfway like. I hope you feel better soon. Thank you. Luckily I am feeling some better this morning. And I’m fortunate to wfh, so I can deal with whatever is going on. im sorry you are still dealing with these issues. I know I don’t always comment, but you’ve been in my thoughts. Having chronic issues that no medical professional can figure out (and sometimes don’t even take seriously) is awful. I keep hoping for a solution for you!

I'm up and moving around. realized last night that I left my mouse at the office. I've already reached for it a few times since I booted the laptop back up. I'm definitely going to need to buy one today, b/c this is just going to piss me off lol... maybe I'll just go sit outside, where for whatever reason the muscle memory isn't to reach for the mouse while working.

They just had no business assigning a project that was that much of a clusterf*** to a brand new project manager, even if I did have the most relevant background to be able to deal with it. And, even knowing now that I was going too far trying to save it, I’m not sure I’d have done anything differently I’m still happy they got the new promising results and I hope they use their remaining funding to put together a nice data package that they can shop around to VC firms or someone that will be less contentious about funding and/or better able to organize them.

Did my 1/4 mile walk to a pharmacy and got needed OTC allergy meds. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of my preferred eye drop brand so I may be doing a pharmacy or Target order later today for ship to me.
Finishing up my usual morning stuff then will see if I can do what I wanted to do yesterday morning about this time.

I think "death do us part" incorporates dispatching the other's live demons.
I could never get XH to agree. His attitude was that if you don't bother them, they won't bother you. My attitude is that other than humans and household pets, everything else belongs outdoors. If it comes into my territory, it's fair game.

I'm a pretty live and let live kind of person, but when it's poisonous it's gone. Or a roach (which thankfully I haven't seen in many years).

You’ve been complaining about not being able to get meds cause you didn’t have a car, couldn’t get a ride??!! Are your prescriptions at a different pharmacy? If so call and get them transferred to this very close pharmacy. Don’t complicate life!!

I worked in the yard for a little while weeding. Here is where I hope nothing I touched was poison ivy. Yes, I know "leaves of three, let it be," but I think the poison ivy at my house has mutated.

DS3 made me very proud yesterday. This is his 3rd year of trying to start a new boys' soccer team at a very small high school. The first year they were an unknown and upset some ranked teams. Last year didn't go as well.
This season they got off to a very slow start and it took them a while to win their first match. Once they did that, it got them over the hump.
Last night they played in the first game to get to the state tournament and they won! Kids were so excited that he got a Gatorade bath! He posted in their FB group he will take the Gatorade any time the kids want to throw it at him and he was so proud of each and every one of them. This is a young team. JV was undefeated so he may be using them in the playoffs.

Is it possible to die but your body continues to participate in the 4 hour long Zoom meeting?
Because I think that's what happened to me about an hour ago.
JFC it's only 10:13. Two more hours!
