I really need to get back into a much healthier eating pattern. We were eating out or taking out almost every meal for a couple of months and I indulged myself with cost and calories. Now I'm sure I've gained more weight than I'm happy with. I started making meals now that we are more consistently at B's for dinner; that should help. And I'm going to resume intermittent fasting. It works so well for DH and for me. I've come to recognize that I'm a real foodie.

Last week 149 this morning. Eating healthy yea that did not happen last week. I was like Templeton at the fair. Goals for this week. I did make the gym 3 days instead of 4. Watch the calories and eat healthy. Work out at home 4 Day working out at the gym- yes work is out of crazy time so I need to get back in the gym. Although, I think I have muscle building the main focus vs cardio Take my vitamins each day I have 4 weeks before my trip starts to get into as much shape as I can.

I leave tomorrow for the week for a work trip. So all normal healthy goals (food, exercise) are out the window. I’m giving myself permission to not worry about anything but work for the week. Our agenda has us busy from 8am until we’ll after dinner each night and I’m tired just thinking about it, haha.

Still losing slowly. Imagine if I employed healthier eating. Went a little overboard this weekend with pizza and burgers, but at least it is still coming off and not going on. Dh works til 8pm Mon-Thurs this week, so I have no excuse.

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Up 1.5 pounds but am solidly in the "next decade." I'm finding it's easier to do certain things, and I have more stamina. After Friday's cardio session, I exclaimed to my empty house: I feel so GOOD!!!! I wish we could bottle up that feeling. Saturday, I got in my steps by volunteering at an annual public land cleanup and did another 2,500 steps while housecleaning yesterday.

So I am thinking about switching gyms. The one I am currently with is 23 a month and it is pretty much all on your own. The one I want to switch too would be 100 a month, but that would also include the girls. They also have an indoor aquatic area which the other one does not have. I went with the first because I had 2 friends, one in person, one out of state that was going to do it with me. The one in person has, but she is moving in June. The youngest isn´t interested in current one, but will do laps in the pool with me. The new one also has different classes that you can do as well, not sure how those would fit into my schedule. The new one also is not 24 hours, like the current one is. Both are about the same distance from the house, but in opposite directions. Just over all seeing what pros and cons I might not be thinking of.

Happy Friday everyone! Today I have what is called a non-scale victory (NSV). I am wearing a pair of work slacks that were snug when I bought them and therefore never worn. Well, since my favorite black slacks are hanging low and dragging on the ground due to inches lost, I tried on the snug ones. They fit!!! When I have time I'll start measuring to keep track. And, I looked back to January. Overall I've lost 19.2 pounds this year. Gotta get that .2 in, lol. Have a wonderful weekend!

Just over all seeing what pros and cons I might not be thinking of. Regarding the pool, is it chlorine or saltwater? Is it actually kept clean? Are the locker rooms at least decent and not gross? It is chlorine, and all of it is kept very clean. There was like 2 other people there when I went to check it out last week and signed up, when YDD and I went yesterday there was a class in the middle pool, and in one of the small pools. Besides that there was no one. YDD and I used one of the smaller pools just to ourselves going back and forward and current oval some. I signed up for the monthly option which was 108 a month instead of 105, for all of us. This will let me see how much YDD goes with with me. I might be able to get ODD to try it out since there not that many people there during the summer too. The gym does offer other classes that are free to members, the other one did not have classes. You had the nutritious and personal trainers you could set appointments with, but no classes. This one does have a personal trainer that you get an appointment with every 6 months. It is associated with our local hospital. I am not the swimmer I was 149 today, I feel like I just keep bouncing around the 150 mark these last several weeks. I just can not find the motivation I once had to lose this last 10lbs. I had to go to the doctor last week, and they did confirm that I have lost 100lbs since Jan 2021, so one would think 10 would not be that hard. My meals have stayed healthy, but last week ODD brought home a cake she made in her Culinary arts class, yesterday YDD and I stopped at a new cookie bar that opened in town, over all it was a disappointment in what was offered, but still we got some just said we were not going back. I am about to go and swim some this morning. YDD has two soccer games today so she is staying home.

150 this morning. So up 1lb from last week the same. I did switch gyms and went swimming 3 days last week, youngest went with me 2. She did not go Sunday because she had 2 soccer games that afternoon and I think her coach would have fussed. Eating health is a hit and miss, Thursday we had an end of year party for my self contain class, this weekend´s soccer match was 3.5 hours away so we went down Friday and came back late Saturday, so eating out for 3 meals. I do well with eating health at home and normal days, but things like that I am getting more to a whatever attitude. I did suck at remembering my vitamins each day last week.
This week I will have an ice cream party for my afternoon crew, a group of kiddos that just

I am on a massive sugar bender. It took me a while to realize it. I managed for yesterday to be a much better day sugar wise, but I have a lot of work to do to fully curb it to a reasonable level.
While I've not been "exercising" in the gym, my steps have been way up due to moving our houses.

I know some of it is stress/comfort/social eating. I need to figure out a plan for my trip too. A lot of it is hiking, so foods I can carry in my pack, that will not get all gross in the heat. And there will certainly be some eating out. I want to try a deep dish pizza in Chicago, Walleye is on my list, fried bread, cheese curds..... going to have to be careful some there as well.

Our vacations vary, but usually involve tons of walking or hiking. I ALWAYS eat whatever I want while on vacation and look for local fare, but I'm not a big breakfast eater so other than some protein snacks throughout the day my largest meal is dinner. Funny, that is the complete opposite of my normal daily life where lunch is my largest meal and dinner is often skipped or light, like cheese and crackers. ANYWAY, IME I almost always lose weight on vacation. The exercise and food often offset each other with the exercise leading to the loss, probably mostly because my job is so sedentary. All that to say, enjoy your vacation! What else are we working for?

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Had another NSV Saturday evening. A friend and I were standing at opposite sides of a neighbor's fire pit ring. I turned around to warm my backside, and when I turned back around, she said she can tell I'm losing weight, because my upper legs look smaller. YAY!!!! (Disclaimer: She and I are what I consider close, so she felt comfortable mentioning it. Last week she also offered to start walking with me weekday evenings. ) I reached a new low last Thursday, a number I hadn't weighed since Oct 2018. It did go up a pound over the weekend, but I'm not worried. I need to keep working on excuses for not exercising. Last week's included: Mon, getting home from work late, Tues, packing in a month's worth of groceries, Wed, talking long distance on the phone, Thurs, being out of town all day. Although Tues and Thurs I did reach thousands of steps. Celebrated this newly found stick-to-itiveness with a new tattoo Friday. Another is planned for the next 20 pounds gone.

I want to hang glide in the fall at a local place. I think I will still try and hit that 140 mark, but besides that I do not know what my goals will be. Most likely to maintain?

Hi Kids! Sad to say, with my relative in the hospital, I haven't averaged more than a mile a day walking. Unless you add in walking from the parking lot into the hospital, and going down those long hallways. My weight has been staying within a 4-pound range. I guess I can't complain too much. But, I need to get back to a normal walking schedule. Hoping my relative will be out of the hospital in a week or so, then I can get back to it.

Hi! Just checking in for checking in’s sake. I had been getting the sugar intake under control, but then I came down with COVID! That has definitely helped with the sugar, but my Monday - Wednesday step counts are all low. Thursday was better, but it was very slow movement, no increase in heart rate. I’m definitely feeling better overall, but my breathing is still shallow.

Once I get the eating habits better controlled, my next step is cardio for stamina. Halfway to my goal (another 20 lbs) I plan to focus on strength training to help with back issues and stay in the workout groove.

149lb today, so down 1 lb. 1 week before my trip, so I need to get some clothes that fit well for hiking. I do not want to end up with a rash from loose fitting clothes. I have put off getting anything new for awhile now and everything is loose. I was a size 22 at the start, made it to size 14 until I bought some new clothing. I have 1 pair of 10 pants someone gave me that seem to fit well, so going to start with that. I also need new shoes that I want to break in before leaving. I did not make the gym at all last week.
Goals
Watch the calories and eat healthy. Work out at home 4 Day working out at the gym- No more work, but have something going on Monday and Thursday this week. Take my vitamins each day

Business trips and hurt DH going back to work but in a new position. So lots of stress which led to lots of bad food choices and no energy for increasing my steps. I think I managed to maintain my weight but I'm afraid to step on the scale. Restarting today. Up the veggies, watch the portions, get on the treadmill. After I clean the house.
