Looking for a place to stories of the sick unvaxed and do not want to start threads for every story that comes up. I regret not starting a thread though from an article I read recently. It pointed out that in absolute numbers we will probably pass the death toll of Americans during the Spanish Flu shortly. It did mention a 1 in 500 stat for where we are now, and that in the end, it was 1 in 150 for the end of the 1918 pandemic. I'm guessing that stat might be cases, as yesterday's deaths per 1 Million was 2065 for yesterday, just slightly above the 1 in 500 mark. What scares me, is if we need to get to the 1 in 150 mark before this all ends, that's basically 6,667 deaths per 1 Million. Our case count per day is way over what the country can handle well medically. I think when we are in the 50K to 60K cases a day we are in a much better space in regards to medical resources. Per Worldometer, yesterday's US case count was over 151K.

Latest person who's math challenged and is currently enjoying his personal freedom of getting significantly sick from Covid. Is it really that hard for him and others to get deaths from Covid are reported in the news because its bad and could have been prevented? www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/unvaxed-teen-councilman-who-attacked-mask-mandates-now-battling-terrible-covid-pneumonia/ar-AAOwyu7?ocid=msedgntpA teenage city council member in Morgan County, Alabama, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday after railing against mask mandates said he’s now battling coronavirus-related pneumonia in the hospital.
“Well, it has finally happened to me. Unfortunately, this morning I have confirmed two positive [tests] for Covid-19,” Pepper wrote Wednesday on Facebook. Everything In me wants to tell myself it is something different but every way I look it’s ‘Covid this, Covid that’ and it has terrified me and my family.”
Pepper wrote that he was “terrified” by the way that the media “continues to report on Covid-19 and explains ‘Death’ each time they do,” adding that he has “faith in the lord.”
“Maybe this will clear up soon and the symptoms of this sickness shall not progress as I can tell you, it feels terrible not to be able to breathe.”

Another one. Got her wish to prove food poisoning is worse than Covid. www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/laura-loomer-in-so-much-pain-from-covid-after-previously-saying-food-poisoning-is-worse/ar-AAOyfmi?ocid=msedgntpFar-right activist Laura Loomer has described how she is in "so much pain" after contracting COVID-19, after previously hoping she would get the virus to prove its symptoms are "hyped up."
Loomer, an anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist who is running for Congress against Representative Daniel Webster in Florida, added that her symptoms reminded her of when she got the flu a few years back.
After confirming she had COVID, Loomer said that she is not vaccinated against the virus and is taking her own treatment consisting of "Azithromyacin and Hydroxychloroquine."
Loomer also said she was able to receive the Regeneron antibody treatment for COVID because she lives in Florida. "I hope I get COVID so I can prove to people I've had hours of food poisoning that are more serious and life-threatening than a hyped up virus," Loomer wrote on social media site Parler in December 2020.

And of course, she'd started a Gufundme account to pay for his funeral before she kicked over too.

Alabama is doing pretty badly virus wise right now. They are number 10 in the country for high case counts per Million and number 8 in deaths (same stat).

I hate the ones that have no choice. The four year old that died the day after it was discovered she had Covid, is really sad. I wonder if we will even get to the point of studying vaccines for the under 5 set.

This is sad too. www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mississippi-says-covid-19-deaths-in-pregnant-women-are-rising-and-it-s-pleading-with-them-to-get-vaccinated/ar-AAOypMd?ocid=msedgntpEight pregnant women died of Covid-19 in Mississippi since July 25, bringing the state's pandemic total to 15, Dobbs said Thursday. The 15 ranged in age from 23 to 40, none was fully vaccinated, and only one was partially vaccinated, Dobbs said.
At least 12 of the fetuses survived, often through emergency C-section, and some were severely premature, said Dr. J. Martin Tucker, professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He spoke for the 12 cases that his system was involved with; information about the other three cases wasn't available.
Mississippi also is analyzing information on 72 stillbirths -- deaths of a fetus in the womb after 20 weeks -- that have affected Covid-infected pregnant women in the state since the pandemic began, Dobbs said. That appears to be twice the usual stillbirth rate.

He said he wasn’t feeling bad, but then he was vaccinated because he tended to do what the CDC recommends. You can almost see his eyes roll while you read it.

Saw a thing on local news tonight where a local clinic that provides monoclonal antibody therapy is about to run out. They interviewed a patient who was unvaccinated, got the virus and is now using the anti body therapy- he said when he heard the news he almost cried. He said he liked being able to chose the anti body therapy because no one should force anyone to do anything like Biden was.
Why would someone be afraid of the vaccine but embrace the antibodies? They both use needles. They are both new treatments. I don’t get it.

Trump praised monoclonal antibodies, therefore they must be good. There are so many horror stories peddled about the vaccine its hard to keep up with them, so he's probably one of those who is worried about what will happen if he took the vaccine. I really wish there would be lots of studies done and translations handed out for those of us who think more logically and pay attention to science. I've decided the "think for yourself" RW phrase really means embrace our emotionally panicked thinking.

Many of these right wing people who claim Covid is a hoax or isn’t that bad, then get it and realize it is bad, ask people to pray for them, so they must be religious.
I think they are failing to see that God is trying to tell them something.

Very ironic if you consider where most Covidiots stand on that issue!

Both a happy and sad article on an unvaxxed man that survived. Luckily his journey did convince quite a few people to get vaccinated. Long article, worth reading. Yet another consequence of 150K+ cases a day. I really wish we could get back to a third of that or less, which makes resources more available and healthcare workers less stressed. www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/after-169-hospitals-a-dad-finally-got-the-covid-19-care-he-needed-and-changed-dozens-of-skeptics-minds/ar-AAOBmuD?ocid=msedgntp#image=AAOBmuD_1|1Every breath Robby Walker takes is one that almost didn't happen.
Just a few weeks ago, the Florida father of six was on a ventilator with Covid-19 pneumonia in both lungs. Like most Americans hospitalized with Covid-19, Walker was not vaccinated.
"He is in dire need of an ECMO treatment, which is not available at the hospital that he is in," his wife Susan Walker told CNN in August.
ECMO treatment uses an external machine that can function as the body's heart and lungs. It can be used for organ transplant patients, victims of severe heart attacks and seriously ill Covid-19 patients -- including young adults.
The family called 169 hospitals. No one was able to take Robby.
The day after exhausting that list, Susan appeared on CNN -- fearing Robby might be out of options. But a doctor in Connecticut saw her interview and had an idea.

You are right, it looks like they moved or killed it. I've noticed some of the big news organizations will change or disappear a link within a day. Have no idea why.

It's wayyyyyy past time for folks to sue Fox News for all of the misinformation they give out. Seems to me that people dying due to bad information should hold up in court.

I’m not a lawyer, but wouldn’t it be like shouting fire in a crowded theater when you know there is no fire? In this case claiming Covid is a hoax when clearly it isn’t, on a widely watched news channel?

With the vaccine you feel like shit a few days. The you can have a severe allergic reaction to the antibody treatment including anaphylaxis
