Evidence so far points to mental health issues. The gun man was picked on in high school and became paranoid about being stalked, according to those who knew him. Seems to be the standard background for most mass murderers. Diogenes is just falling for the usual far right knee jerk of blaming the browns. It’s easier then admitting it’s too damn easy for mentally unbalanced people to get assault weapons. If you see pics pf him, he's really not brown. Bullying is creating some of these people. I won't blame them for cracking under the pressure. Damn, what the heck is going on. It feels like mass shooting season opened. On TV is about a mass shooting at an office building in CA. It's selective coverage. There are even more reports of positive gun stories, I could post them till my fingers fell off. Already have posted a few but it doesn't mean anything to willful ignorance. When there is talk of gun control legislation going on in congress, the coverage goes to any negative gun story that can be found. The mainstream media is left leaning and is often complicit in that situation. Expect more negative gun stories mainstream and farther left cable outlets until the congressional effort fails. reply #1 at a date when little information was yet released.

Fully agree repeal of the Second Amendment is what we need to do. Fully agree the votes aren't currently there. Is there any evidence of the Syrian connection. Sounds like pure speculation. Given I know and Diogenes knows the gunman was originally from Syria, there is no media omission. There might be more drum banging on that point in RW media speculating on how that's connected to his actions. I think addressing the mass shooting problem is bigger than just gun control as correctly pointed out often these guns are legally obtained. I believe more teaching of emotion control might help and have the added benefit of reducing domestic violence and other shootings. What country did Stephen Paddock immigrate from? It was not reported by the MSM.

I always think it’s funny when the gun nuts start moaning about constitutional rights. The founding fathers purposefully created a means to edit that document. If we stuck just to the original document, we’d still have slaves and women couldn’t vote. And I love that old line about assault weapons being necessary for self defense. Look at countries like Canada, New Zealand and Australia who imposed some form of gun control. If the gun nuts are right, those countries would be run by violent warlords and all the decent people would be dead. Yet look at their crime statistics. I’ve been around a while. I’ve never met a single person who heroically pulled his assault weapon to mow down a pack of pirates or gangsters who were preparing to attack his house. Maybe I’ve always lived in boring places. I know someone who pulled his gun on a couple that was stealing his chairs from the front patio. If he had just walked outside or yelled out the window, they probably would have run - maybe not quite so fast. I think about that couple a lot. Did they do that often? Did they want the furniture, or were they going to sell it? Was having a gun in their face enough to stop them - and did it stop them for a night, or a week or did they give up on that kind of theft forever? Were those chairs worth it? If things had gone wrong, how would my guy feel? Probably proud, because he is fundamentally a stupid dick - but you never know what touches a soul. He wouldn't pull a gun to save a black life, but God damn if you are going to steal his K-Mart patio chairs.

If you read the posts, it was one speculation, on one terror attack. You might want to consider his family unit, and the possible influence, instead of a narrow view.

He wouldn't pull a gun to save a black life, but God damn if you are going to steal his K-Mart patio chairs. Are you familiar with the 'just crazy enough' approach ? You can effectively end a possible crime and future return, by appearing just crazy enough to overeact to what was happening. It works and criminals will seldom return to that site. Hey, we can steal our lawnchairs one block over where the nutbag waving the gun doesn't reside. Painting that response picture as ego or tough guy, is a much used approach in the projected association of criminals and gun owners by the anti gun lobby. Parroted for decades by certain media outlets. Goes hand in hand with the 'need' stance of gun comtrol. He doesn't need that weapon, the situation wasn't dire enough to need to threaten with a firearm, he doesn't need a gun that looks like a military weapon but functions the same as a child's squirrel gun. (Assault weapon) Easy to push that line of restriction, the uninformed will tend to follow it (the purpose for it's use), but its not part of the constitutional right to bear arms. That type of approach tends to evaporate in the face of Constitutional Convention.

A man in Massapequa, N.Y., defended himself and a bystander from a knife-wielding robber in the early morning hours of March 6, 2021.
The armed citizen noticed another man being stopped by a robber who demanded the man's cash and keys around 5:25 a.m. that Saturday morning. The man walked over and attempted to assist the victim, but the would-be robber turned his attention to him and pulled out a knife. The robber then walked toward the man, knife in hand.
Fearing for his own safety, the man produced his handgun and shot the armed robber in the leg. The wounded robber then fled the scene. Police found him a short time later, after which he was taken to a hospital for treatment and then placed under arrest. The robber is charged with two counts of first-degree attempted robbery, two counts of second-degree menacing and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. Here we go again! Knoxville Police Department (KPD) in Tennessee said that multiple agencies are at the scene of a shooting Austin-East Magnet High School. There are multiple gunshot victims reported, KPD said in a tweet on Monday, including one of their officers. www.cnn.com/2021/04/12/us/knoxville-school-shooting/index.html

According to one poster you take your chances of being shot and killed when you leave your home be it if you go to a concert in Las Vegas, a nightclub in Orlando or even to grammar school in Newtown, Connecticut. Don't leave your homes and you will be just fine.

With all the uncontrolled violence in our democrat run cities oved the last year, 7 million new minority gun owners in urban areas over the last 6 months, are agreeing with that poster. I understand Minneapolis is nice the last couple of days. Take the family for a walk in the downtown area tonight, the city is lovely and vibrant.

I understand Minneapolis is nice the last couple of days. Take the family for a walk in the downtown area tonight, the city is lovely and vibrant. When the NRA arms every black person in America, I will believe it is really about guns. If that's what it takes for you to believe it's about the guns, your belief will never happen. The NRA doesn't arm anyone, you have to go out and buy your own weapons. Case in point, 7 million new minority gun owners in urban areas, the NRA didn't buy one of those guns. The best they can do is attempt to reduce regulation, and that applies to everyone. One of the things they work on is lowering/preventing onerous taxes being added to firearms/ammunition, such as in Chicago. Those increased taxes prevent the lower income groups from exercising their right to own a firearm/protect themselves, instead forcing them to rely on city police forces and their systemic racism. BLM cares about this, however might they have a new elitist in training, don't want to be living too close to the 'peaceful protests'. A Black Lives Matter co-founder and self-professed 'trained Marxist' has raised eyebrows by purchasing a $1.4 million Los Angeles home, in a largely white district.
Patrisse Cullors, a 37-year-old 'artist, organizer, and freedom fighter', has bought a three bedroom, three bathroom house in Topanga Canyon, complete with a separate guest house and expansive back yard, reports
The home is described in the real estate listing as having 'a vast great room with vaulted and beamed ceilings'.
The realtors write that the large back yard is 'ideal for entertaining or quietly contemplating cross-canyon vistas framed by mature trees'.
The AP reported that Black Lives Matter took in $90 million in donations last year. It's not clear if or how Cullors is paid by the organization, as its finances are opaque.
In her new zip code, 88 per cent of residents are white and 1.8 per cent black, according to the census.

Awww, somebody's fee fee's get hurt by a BLM elitist, reality check ? I hope you didn't donate to the 'cause'. Other than patiently waiting for this to happen, and I knew it would, I can verify that this evil conservative had nothing to do with it, nor Trump.
