Hi Kids! This weekend has been good to me, in spite of DD bringing home a bunch of leftover cookies from a gathering she attended. First 17, then 18 pounds lost. Let's do this!

I woke up yesterday resolving to get 5,000 steps in, which is quite the feat for my day off. I came in at just under 4,300. Been going to bed at a decent hour. Mostly. Still focusing on vegetable and fruit intake. Feeling good, and haven't had any CHF flare ups.

Hit step goal.
Did 2 30 second planks. Did a little better at getting out of bed when alarm went off.
Stress ate.
This week's goals 95000 steps 30 minutes of strength or yoga training. Curb stress eating.

After my second blood draw this month the doctor diagnosed me with polycystic ovarian syndrome. He prescribed metformin, niacin (because despite being on a multivitamin and B12 my b is still a little low), and I'll be starting a low dose thyroid med when they arrive from the mail pharmacy. I was 202 3 weeks ago and I just weighed in at 199.5. I've never had weight loss be this slow, but I am 39 now and my hormones are all out of whack. So instead of being mad I'm trying to just continue to take care of myself and slowly inch toward better health.

I have high hopes for June to be another good step month. Good weather and access to a treadmill again are helping with this. By the end of the month, we'll finally have an address in our new city so the real moving can commence in July. Which is another motivation to get lots of steps in June b/c I anticipate July and/or August will be pretty low with the move.
Keep up the good work, everyone!

I won't know what my weight is until I meet up with my trainer on Saturday but I do know that my size 40-band boulder holders are too big in the band. I'm gonna need to get new garments in 38-bands.

Alright, I'm biting the bullet and buying new walking/running shoes. After the treadmill Sunday, I noticed my Nike shoes are filthy, and I realized they are at least, what, 20 years old?! There's a pair of Asics in my shopping cart waiting for me to pull the trigger. Also in the cart are a pair of Keens for wearing around our property in the summer heat. ETA: Trigger pulled. Items will arrive next week.

Weight down 6.4 since going hard core again last Sunday. Hard core in my world means low calorie, low carb. And, don't worry, I'm eating plenty and made room for cocktail calories. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.

I think I'm down to 212lbs. Hard to say with scales that aren't well-calibrated. I'm working on getting up earlier so that I walk before work. I start back to twice a week training sessions with my trainer tomorrow. I figure I have no reason to not be able to get to bed before 10pm on Sundays so those second sessions will be Monday mornings for 30 minutes. Since March, I've been working out with her for an hour on Saturdays.

The metformin and thyroid meds are helping. I am down to 196 so officially no longer obese. My goal weight is 160 which is right under an overweight BMI for me. But the doctor says depending on my bloodwork I might need to lose more in order to stay off meds which is my goal.
I am trying to get up earlier to workout instead of doing it on my lunch hour. So far not successful, but I promised myself to get my sleep back on track this weekend. Yesterday I had a headache and felt tired but instead of napping after work I stayed up until 9 then went to bed. I really needed the rest. I woke up at 5:30, but stayed in bed for a while since I'm off work today.

Good morning! I've been overwhelmed with work, school, and parenting. I completely ignored myself these past few months. My work and school priorities have slowed down, and I'm able to re-calibrate.

As of this morning, I am down 19 lbs with intermittent fasting. This is since May 1.
The next 2 weeks are going to be interesting as we leave for Belize Sunday. If I can avoid gaining any while we are gone, I’ll be happy. My blood glucose and a1c tipped me into T2 range, and my GP isn’t happy. I retested about 5 weeks into the diet (I had lost about 12 lbs at that point) and the numbers did tick down slightly. My GP is willing to wait until Sept before officially calling T2.

It was so hot here I was unmotivated last week, and couldn’t even muster the will to use the treadmill in our basement. I did enjoy the one blissful day of only being 80 yesterday and did a 2 mile walk with the family, so cheers to a good start to the week.

Back from getting some medical tests done. Turns out I am fine. I would like to reiterate how important it is to keep moving, no matter at what activity level. Walking, dancing, ATVing, stretching. Keep doing what y'all are doing.

In trying to recenter myself this month, I did make a conscious effort to get more steps in. I only have my iPhone—no Apple watch nor FitBit. I’d noticed this trend on the Health App, so I did make sure to physically move more this month.
