All right, I fired MFP back up. I'm serious now, dammit! Are we linked on that one?

My goal is to lose 4 lbs this month, but it's not going so well. I lose and gain the same one pound over and over again.

I've done better this week regarding exercise. I've been about half/half on being reasonable with calorie intake. I did not track calories every day though; I don't what my block on that is. I have had more wine than normal, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. (For context, we didn't even allow alcohol in our house for around 15 years. It's just in the last four or five that we've had it present during certain gatherings and in the last two years that we've consumed it without it being a social setting. No judgement on others; that's just how we function.) I've not weighed myself recently. I've felt insanely bloated lately though.

All right, I fired MFP back up. I'm serious now, dammit! Are we linked on that one? Im not linked to anyone on it. User name is butterflygirl107, if you would like to add me. Looks like I lost 0.8 lbs since Wednesday, but my scale lost one of the little pads on the feet, so I'm not sure if it's throwing off the measurement a little.

Made it to the gym to meet my trainer this morning, then did 30 minutes on the recumbent. A couple hours later, I went to the park. I'm just over 10,000 steps and just under my water goal.

I've stuck to clean eating and upped my water intake as suggested. It seems to have worked, I'm up to 27 lbs lost,

Did you "spring forward"?
Did you also have a first inclination of "five more minutes" when you woke up this morning?
My fitness tracker didn't capture that I went to sleep around 10:30 last night so it's showing that I slept from 00:49 to 7:43 (which was actually 8:43).

I despise the time change. Both ways. It just messes with my life so much.
I did a leg workout yesterday. I can definitely feel it today. My calories were great yesterday except for dinner. DH and I went out last night. We had to drive two counties over to be able to get to open restaurants and--because everyone else had the same idea apparently--it took us three restaurants and still sitting outside to have dinner.

My fitness tracker had no issues with the time change, but I returned from a walk believing it wasn't quite 3 yet, so I got myself a rum and coke. But, I had only changed a few clocks so it was actually almost 4. I have a hard deadline at 3pm for caffeine consumption. I'm going to be awake half the night now. Shit.

I hit the treadmill for 10 minutes and the recumbent for 20. I'm just under my step goal but I should be able to hit it before going to bed. It's only 5:30 but I feel like it should be 9:30pm.

Elliptical and rower for me today. Decent on calories so far, but I did just have popcorn for my fourth meal. (Six mini meals per day approach)

I ended up just having some mocha now at 4:45. It was either that or take a nap. Either way, I'm not going to sleep well tonight.

Weekly check in
Hit step goal. Eating too much and too many carbs.
This week step goal is 80000. I am getting the vaccine on Saturday and not sure how I will feel afterwards so I am lowering the goal. Hoping to get eating back on track.

I didn't hit my step goal yesterday but I give myself a pass since part of the time on the treadmill was two 30 second intervals of jogging. I haven't jogged in five years. My 40GG boobs hate that I'm doing so again but I shut them up with a compression bra over my encapsulation bra. They don't realize that I'm on a quest to decrease their presence in my life.

Without going into detail, may I just say: I love being middle aged. Had another rough night, and even Estroven did not help. I am treating myself gently today, with the help of a chocolate croissant and Tylenol. Vodka must wait until after office hours.

I'd thought about not purchasing a stationary bike until the fall, since the weather had been improving. and then, the golden pup that had knee surgery last summer tweaked something over the weekend and is on rest orders for 2w or so. a bike probably is still a very good idea. it's not going to sour like fresh produce. I can use it as needed when we can't go walk for miles like usual.

Down another 0.4 lbs. Ive barely exercised, and usually exceed my calorie budget, but damn if tracking on MFP doesn't work. Seems to be the only thing that works for me. Wish it were easier.

My DH finally put together our little weight machine, and I tried it out a few minutes ago. I think I'm going to regret it with my bad shoulder. Oh well, its something, at least.

Dropped one more pound. Hey, it's not much, but if you think of a pound of butter, I'd rather not have it on me...

Headed to the state park to trek. I start with my new brain therapist this weekend. Time to really get started on getting my mental health well. In the past five years, I've had more than 30 major life changes; half of which were in just the past 18 months. On this stress chart, I scored nearly 400 points. And that's just for events this year...with little to no support system in the near vicinity.

This week has been pretty lackluster exercise wise. I started my new job which means I can’t just take an hour-ish break in the middle of the day to run or take a spin class. It also means I have to get back in a routine of getting up more than 20 minutes before work starts food wise, I should be pretty good though. I don’t have enough time between meetings to run to my kitchen for snacks!

I was able to meet my step goal just through cleaning around the house and running a few errands. to me.

Managed to average at least one mile every day this week, which while not a ton, at least means I was up and moving so I’ll take it. We went to my mom’s on Thursday evening for the weekend as it was the end of spring break for my oldest, so got a ton of outside time in at her awesome town park that my kiddos love, which was good as it meant I wasn’t sitting on my tush.

I'm still eating clean. My weight isn't moving fast but man do I feel good. Something I was eating really didn't agree with me and I didn't even realise it. I start my new job in the morning. It's work from home so I can sleep later than I use to, I reset my alarm to 8 am instead of 7. I think I will be awake before that but just in case. This should be exciting.
