at some point Tuesday, I tweaked my right ankle. I woke up Wednesday morning and each step would cause a pain up my instep and across the ankle bone, high on the inside. this happens once in awhile, and I just need to wrap/rest it. so while the pups were at daycare Wednesday, I didn't take a normal walk when I had a break in calls. today, my mom came down to see the pups, so we didn't go anywhere to walk today either. hopefully tomorrow it will be fine. pups and I are a little antsy today.

I found a nice women's bike for $70 on fb marketplace. Single speed with old-fashioned foot brakes since I never did get used to my 10 speed with handbrakes. Went and picked it up tonight and will start taking laps around the neighborhood as it warms up. It has a basket, cupholder, and bell, so my kids are totally calling it an old lady bike. I don't care! that's a great find. I would love one of those around here, for the canal. I have a hybrid (road/trail) bike I bought not long after college, but I don't love it. I should see if I can sell that on FB marketplace, in favor of one like you just got. I'd been watching for a while. Seems to be more listed now than there was at the beg of the pandemic as they were selling so fast. I bet they sell faster again when we get good weather here, so I'd look now if you're interested.

Went to a new doctor yesterday, a homeopathic one. He used an ohmmeter to do an assessment of my body system resistances. It was fascinating. And eye-opening to see how compromised ALL my systems are after 20 years of being in, around, over, under, and just near airplanes. He sent me home with a number of bottles of vitamins and minerals, a couple of which are to help detoxify said systems.
Based upon my allergies--they are numerous--he's saying I have a base allergy of tar.
I started the additional vitamin/mineral regimen last night and will do a follow-up with him in four weeks, where he'll use that ohmmeter again to see how my systems are progressing.
In other news, I've met my step goal six out of the past seven days and 21 out of the past 30 days. I have 700 more to go to meet today's goal. Easy peasy.

Yesterday was crap for emotions. I put my Buster-kitty down. I ate PB cups and drank coffee in the morning to early afternoon then went and had a hamburger, sweet tater fries, and root beer with my BF.
Surpassed my step goal because I took a cathartic walk at the park and had a total step count of more than 8000. Water was 6 cups out of 10 cups goal.

I’m down a few more pounds, at 205.4 as of yesterday. Peloton came Tuesday and I rode 3 days in a row. My butt still hurts, even just sitting in my office chair yesterday. My knee felt sore too so I skipped yesterday.
I noticed this week I’ve been hungry when I wake up. I’m still sticking with the fasting, but had lunch at 11:30 a couple of days.
So far I’ve lost 12 pounds. The belly fat is shrinking. My first big milestones will be getting under 200 and then I think 197 puts me at overweight BMI instead of obese.

I was down a pound this morning, so to celebrate I ate a lot of food and took a nap.

Did okay last week. Got walks in, and time spent outside most days. We took a 2.5 mile walk yesterday with the kids on bike and scooter, which was awesome. And then I took the kids to out science center for the first time in over a year. Not sure we’ll go back anytime soon unless we go on a weekday because even with masks on, I was nervous with the sheer amount of people there.
Today the kids and I spent 5+ hours outside - playing, teaching the youngest (4-1/2) to ride a bike (success!), and going to the school to do more bike riding and playing.

Weekly check in
Hit step goal.
Since I always feel bad when I do not hit my goals this week has only one goal - 100,000 steps. Things to work on limit stress eating drink more water and less adult beverages do some strength training.

Stress eating and drinking adult beverages. Not a good week. I actually turned my laptop off on Friday, once I finally logged off. I absolutely commiserate re: last week. may this week be better for both of us.

my ankle seems to be back to normal again, and we hit the bike path for 2.5mi this morning. I expect to get out there again tomorrow, hopefully for longer.
I'm incorporating more fruits into my day, in place of crap processed snacks as well. I need to work on the nightly cocktails, but I don't see that letting up til work improves. the warming temps will keep me outside a lot more, which will help my mood immensely. likely enough to level the attitude about work.

Traveling for work today/tomorrow. I made good food choices for lunch and dinner, so yay, and then went to the hotel gym to get some steps in on the treadmill and did a light workout with the kettlebells they had there.

Got in more than 12,000 steps yesterday. I don't think I made it to my water goal but I got close.
Trying to get back to getting to sleep before 10:30pm. I stayed up until after midnight last Friday night and it's been a struggle to actually fall asleep earlier ever since but I'm pressing forward with working towards it.

My goal is to lose 4 lbs this month, but it's not going so well. I lose and gain the same one pound over and over again.

I've been doing better about getting out with the pups for a midday walk, 4x/wk. obv on the weekends we're out a bunch of the time. today, we were only able to go about a mile or so, due to the high winds in the canal where we were walking. I wisely decided to walk into the wind first, to see how bad it was. the difference was so great that I probably would have walked farther out than I'd have been able to handle walking back.
I need to get back to making better food choices. I feel super puffy the last couple weeks. my face looks it, too.

I weigh myself at the gym once a month but to otherwise gauge my progress, I try on the four different pairs of pants that I'm trying to fit into. Back in September, the buttons and button holes were a good four inches apart with the zipper parts making a distinct V shape instead of zipping. Now, I can button and zip but, when I sit, they're still a little snug. I know that eventually sitting won't be a problem and I'll be able to wear them to work.
Mind you, these are trousers with ZERO stretch.

~Did floor exercises, including crunches, before a phone appointment this AM ~The above mentioned phone appt was with a long time, east coast friend-so mentally and emotionally healthy to catch up
~Made a lunch appointment with sis, her girls, and the new grand nephew for tomorrow
~Scheduled a future day off ~Just ate a dark chocolate square after a healthy chicken breast lunch ~Scale is going back down

Haven't hit my step goal since March 9th, even with decreasing goals due to missing it the day prior. Wed/Thur was around 1200/day. Yesterday was just over 3000. Haven't met my water goals either BUT I have taken my vitamins every day...the new ones the doc gave me last week...so that's a win!
