I have to admit, even I am really flagging on this this year....
Just trying to keep trucking until the vaccine comes through for us all. Try to keep up health and spirits? What else?
Been wanting to really splurge on a higher quality planner for several years - this time I did it. I don't know what to write in it....very unlike me...
How about you?

What planner did you get? I'm on my second Full Focus one.
The only behaviors I currently wish to completely alter as a NY resolution is my potty mouth. From Thanksgiving 2019 - April 2020, I'd lost 25 pounds, but in the last few months I've put ten of it back on. I need to lose that ten--preferably by the end of February--and keep it off through the year.
DH and I can never agree on financial goals, so that's frustrating.

I don't like new years resolutions. If you miss a day, it feels like you need to wait until next year to try again. I like daily resolutions. I guess I should write out my goals, and then keep an eye on those while figuring out my daily resolutions. I'm not starting on new year's day, though. I like to start on Tuesdays.

I'm promising myself I'll exercise more. I do walk every day, but most days that's it.

I got an erin condren life planner, based on a recommendation from an admired coworker. I like those full focus ones, will keep in mind. I bought several people life planners for christmas, but they'd be kind of wierd for the male population. I got the Little More Daily Organizer for the male faction. I did like Erin Condren's personalizations, allthough a lot of the covers and color schemes were too girly even for us girls in this family! I did find a few suitable for gifting, and for myself, I did pick up one of the more bagain priced ones. Kind of regreting that now! Should have gotten something I really liked.

I don't really make resolutions. This year, I am going to try to stay motivated a little more. I'm not a social butterfly (except on here) so it's too easy for me to just stay home and mess around on the computer, or read, or do a project, or color. Once covid is addressed, I would like to get out more. I guess I noticed how much time I spend at home when I had no choice but to spend it here.

I recognize the need to exercise a LOT more, and also my total lack of desire to do that. Which I will overcome.
I'm really going to try to be less judgmental about others and let go of my anger and resentment for past affronts.

I had such good intentions last year and a few made it to March....and we also know what happened then.
I don't make resolutions as it sounds so official, so I make goals. This year they are similar to last year due to being so lousy:
1: To make my bed (including pillows) every day 2: Keep my closet clean and orderly 3: No clothes allowed on the closet floor 4: Keep the waste baskets emptied weekly 5: No more crying (the cymbalta ) is helping so far 6: Save as much as possible....I do not have a definite amount. Perhaps 10K-20k 7: Be careful with my Apple watch, new apple phone

It is where all the artwork is stored that I took down when I had the house painted last January. I either need to rehang it or get rid of it. 2. Paint some furniture. I am much better at buying paint than using it. 3. Save for a downpayment (or full payment if I am lucky) on a new car. Mine is a 2006 Corolla with 137k miles. I am hoping for at least 2 more years. 4. Either lose some weight or start exercising. Both would be nice. 5. Find a hobby to do in the enormous amount of spare time I have. Playing solitaire is not a hobby. I highlighted a sentence that you might want to edit in your original post. I'll edit it in mine if you do.

No resolutions. I'll just hope for survival with some modicum of grace.
Finishing my masters is high on my priority list. For a lot of reasons.
I also have some big work projects that I need to make progress with. During a full college meeting right before Christmas, the Dean talked about our unit, speaking about how our unit was doing all of these wonderful things. Turns out, it was all of my projects I'm working on in fits and starts. Fits and starts aren't good enough anymore. So I have to get my rear in gear with that. And it's a little scary when the Dean is talking to the college about things that I am the only one working on in my unit. So. Survival will have to be good enough. We'll continue to keep the kids at home. The girls by choice, DS...no other alternative.
I may have to hold the fort down by myself for a few weeks this Spring if DH takes his parents to see BIL/SIL. He'll take Miss M. But, everything else will be on me.

I don't make resolutions. It sets me up to fail.
I do have a phone interview for a job I was not looking for an January 6. I figured since it's fallen in to my lap, I will take the job if offered.
It's WFH and I told them I would not move to Des Moines and I will not work part time.
I think I need something like that so I will be accountable for some of my time.

I kind of make a poster goal sheet with lots of ideas of what I’d like to accomplish. Motivator. More than resolutions. Things usually change but I’m ok with that.

I do not make resolutions.
Some things I would like to improve in the new year:
1. My attitude at my job or seriously start looking for another job. (I hate job hunting). 2. Keep getting in steps and work on strength training and or yoga. 3. Do not gain weight and try to loose weight.

I hate to make lose weight a resolution, but realistically that will be at or near the top of the list.
300 minutes of exercise a week. I started a couch to 5k, and hope to be able to jog a 5k by end of Feb. Flexibility and weight training as well.
Go to bed on time.
Work on albums. Finish 2017 and 2018.
Save all of my various online journals into 1 document and print.
Crochet
Finish my floors and curtains
Declutter basement

I'd like to find some balance with this new job and activities that aren't work. I work out only twice a week and I'd like to incorporate more physical activity into my days. Now that the days are gonna start getting longer, it may be easier to get some outdoor time, too. I want to work on having screen-free time. My computer is ALWAYS on when I'm home so I just need to be home less often--see the item above.

I don’t really make resolutions, but I am determined to sit down and write what I’d like my life to look like in 2021 and make some goals.
I actually just got back home from running to Target to get a new book to start a new bullet journal with for 2021. I use to use planners, but the last few years I’ve made and used bullet journals instead. They work a lot better for me than pre-printed planners because you tailor them to fit your needs. I encourage anyone that uses planners to look into bullet journals, they’re a brilliant idea imo.

I had a whole pinterest board of bullet journal ideas. Even bought a blank notebook. Total lock down happened about the time the pages in the prior notebook ran out. So that became my weekly to do list notebook.
I did sit down when I was having a very bad week earlier this fall and write out things I wanted. I'm fairly certain none of them have happened so I need to get moving on that.

When I actually use it, it’s a great tool to keep me organized and on track as far as remembering what I’m supposed/need to do. If you turned yours into a weekly to do list notebook and that worked for you, yay!

I love planners and all that, however, I've discovered for myself that I need to KISS. Bullet journals look so cool, but require way too much effort on my part. I've been getting cheap planners at Aldi, and they're exactly what I need. 2 page month, followed by 2 page week at a glance. An attorney on another forum shared an even simpler one he uses a few years ago. I wonder if I could still find it. I think that would work even better for me. ETA it might be this, though it's not exactly what I remember. plannerpads.com/

I need to try to reclaim the house. It's become an absolute hellscape with DH and the kids home 24/7. Then I've had zero motivation this year cause why bother? We could be dead tomorrow and if not they'll destroy it as soon as they wake up.
I can't do it anymore it's gotten to where it just increases my anxiety.
I also need to move more. I've become a slug cause again not enough mental energy. I need to dig some up cause our trip to the zoo almost killed me and that's a good sign I'm badly out of shape.

I just don't understand how they have time for that of elaborate design, but I imagine it's an artistic outlet for those who do that. Mine is simply to do lists. I do use varying colors, but anything other than actual writing of lists only happens when I'm bored at a meeting and doodling.

I'm not too stuck on the detonation of goals vs. resolutions. Here are some more I'm considering: No buying unnecessary clothing this year. I have way too much. Part of that is due to a lack of being able to go anywhere because of the pandemic. Even without the social distancing, I still have a ton of clothes. So, other than undergarments and a dress for a wedding I know I'll be attending, I'm thinking about resolving to not buy any clothes for this year.

So, other than undergarments and a dress for a wedding I know I'll be attending, I'm thinking about resolving to not buy any clothes for this year. Hmmmm. I have more clothes now than I’ve had in at least a decade. My wardrobe had gotten to be downright pitiful before, to the point that if I was going somewhere that I wanted or needed to be “cute”, I probably had to go shopping. Even if it was just a date with DBF. I’ve built my wardrobe over the last couple of years, but NOW, a lot of it doesn’t fit. Even if I can stuff myself into it, it’s not a good look. I’m stuffing myself into size 8’s currently. Realistically, I think I need to accept that I’ll probably never fit into the 4’s and 6’s and size small and medium tops I wore just a few years ago. Especially not the 4’s and size small tops. So 1. I need to weed through my closets (did I mention that my clothes now fill my half of the master bedroom closet and half of a closet in another room?) and 2. I need to get my weight gain under control. My 8’s and medium shirts aren’t a good look because I have a newly acquired spare tire around my middle, which has become the bane of my existence. Hopefully since my goals for 2021 include a healthier lifestyle, I’ll at least stop gaining weight, and (please God!) get rid of the spare tire.

I went a year without buying clothes, shoes, etc. If I received gift cards for presents, that was the only exception. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be..and really did spur me to keep my wardrobe down after that.
