164.6 as of this morning. I have not idea how this happened since I did not eat one thing even remotely healthy over the weekend but I will take it. I am really focused more on staying where I am the next couple of weeks and trying not to gain. On a side note the family official belongs to the YMCA for the next year (and in May I get more than half of the yearly fee reimbursed by my compnany). I signed us up on Monday but we most likely won't start going until the new year due to all the holiday festivities but at least we are one step closer to leading a healthier life. ;D

pooh - congrats! I'm trying to maintain, too, although the chocolate in my desk drawer is making that hard. Why oh why did I buy it? And yay for signing up for the Y. I renewed my gym membership in August and have only been once. Whoops. I do walk a lot, and I do zumba elsewhere once a week. But this week is the last class, so back to the gym with me!

I have a stupid phone and can't use any of these cool apps. I weighed in at 200.2 today! I know it is "hormone week" and I went to a Christmas party last night- didn't eat a lot- but it was WHAT I ate. Amazes me how you can be on BC w/no period and STILL gain weight once a month

Yep MizBear I'm the same way. No period and I still retain water. At least with my method I still ovulate and that is what triggers the water weight.
Yeah ACEMOM! I have had a few of those days recently. Especially after people have noticed that I've lost weight.
Pooh- Congrats on getting signed up at the Y

Down 0.4, which exactly negates the 0.4 I gained last week. So 170.6. I'll take it.

I should start losing again- I have at least 30 boxes of stuff to be moved and 10 bags of trash to come out of the attic at DGMs. Those 30 boxes then have to go UP the steps at my place. And be unpacked. That's not counting the stuff in the shed, or in the bedroom my DB is trashing. And that's AFTER I got rid of stuff!
Plus, with all of this winding down, I will be cooking- very good thing for me and DM.
Except I have all of my Xmas cookies to bake for next week LOL!

mizbear - that sounds like great exercise!! And yay on being back down!
I zumba'd last night. It was the last class of the session, so I really need to start going to the gym again. The membership is paid for so I might as well use it.

MN-Invester 169½ lbs 12/15/11 (226 lbs. 4/14/11)
Woo-hoo!! Down 3 pounds! And out of the 170s! I so want this to stick. I'm going to see two sisters next Thursday who I haven't seen since this summer. I'm down 27 pounds from then. I really, really, really want them to notice.
The other good news is that my DH has started a diet this week. He has had anomalous lab results for the past few years, but never had the followup tests until this year. The doctor has determined that the issue is caused by his weight. DH is a big guy - 6'3", large boned, naturally muscular. I think that allowed him to overlook his weight gain. Now he's scared and very determined to lose weight. I already have good things around the house to eat, so that's good for him. Plus, he likes chicken and fish and fruit and veggies, so dieting shouldn't be a hardship. Anyway, this will all help me because I'm going to make doubly sure that I don't have unhealthy foods around the house.

MN-Investor - awesome!!! So jealous you're in the 160s hehe. I'm hoping to join you next week. And that's great DH is on board now too. I need to get my DH a bit more into it, although he does eat well, he just needs more exercise I think.

MN- Congrats I hope to join you soon. Though dinner tonight will not help. We are going to my favorite Japanese steakhouse to celebrate my brother's birthday. I may split a plate with DS which would help some. I was over 172 this AM, which didn't make me happy considering I was 171.4 yesterday.

163 as of this morning. I am fitting into my pre-marriage pants. It's going to be hard to keep it off with all my coworkers bringing in goodies every other day.
I've been off Medifast for 2 months now, and had heard that you gain back all the weight you loose on those calorie restricting diets, but in my case, I am still loosing, though at a glacial pace.
Now I just have to get back to exercising. I have about a 6 week window where I can still work on my core muscles before I have to switch to non-bouncy aerobics.

I was over 172 this AM, which didn't make me happy considering I was 171.4 yesterday. I sympathize. For the past 6 weeks my weight has fluctuated up and down daily. I'd be down 1-1/2 pounds one day, up a pound the next. That is so frustrating!

You can fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day because of water weight, bathroom habits, etc. iGoogle has a cool widget where you input your weight every day, and it maps it out and comes up with your "trend" line, which is more accurate than your daily weigh-ins. It accounts for daily fluctuations, and if it sees a pattern you should be worried about it lets you know. But if you're fluctuating around the same all the time it's not good or bad, just maintaining. Worth checking out.

I was up to 173.6 this AM, but I know this water weight. I had a really salty meal last night (yummy, but salty).

Still at 173.6. Not looking good for 169.9 by Christmas, but I'll keep doing what I have been doing and hope for a Christmas surprise.

dakota4600 - I'm crossing my fingers for you and hoping that scale moves a bit. Even a pound or two makes you closer to the sub-170 goal.
As for me, my scale is finally making some movement this week and I was actually down to 167¾ this morning. However, I don't usually go down for several days without going up at some point too, so I'll be happy if I can just hang onto this weight through Christmas.
It would be nice to weigh 167½ on Christmas morning. Last Christmas (I've weighed myself on Christmas morning for the past 9 years) I weighed 227½. So that would be an even 60 pound loss.

Dakota, don't forget that if you're building muscle, you can be loosing inches and not loosing weight. Great to hear about your exercise regimen.

Ah, forgot to weigh in last week! I have not been good, so I admit, I am scared to see what the scale says this week. I will take it for whatever it is and run with it! The new Biggest Loser season starts 1/2/12. The theme for this season is "No excuses." I like it. I'm gonna run with it. I am going to see how much weight I can lose during this season, no excuses!! Should at least get me moving and watching what I eat! Anyone with me?

Yeah, I've "forgotten" to weigh in for a couple of weeks now. I've basically been eating off the $ menu lately. So busy with work and then I remember I haven't eaten on the way to something. Granted I'm not ordering a bunch of stuff, but even 1 item isn't great nutritionally. I'm not very motivated to cook or even grocery shop lately. Turbo, what night is BL on? Depending on whether I work or not, I will join you. When I bought my treadmill 2 years ago, I had planned on using it while I watched BL, but that has clearly fallen by the wayside. I have a trip to FL planned the 1st week of Feb, so I need to kick it into, well, any gear would be better than what it's been.

TIA. Welcome! jdnstl The more people, the merrier! We don't really have guidelines per se. Post your current weight, your goal (long term, short term) and we use each other to be accountable. Generally, we do a weekly weigh in. Some people do Wednesdays, others whatever day works for them. Post as needed about whatever's going on with you. I find writing out goals helpful but I'm a mess right now so I'm probably not a good one to ask. Losing weight is pretty much off my radar right now and considering all the crap I've been eating, 176.5 this morning is maintaining for me.

My weight was up a pound at home this morning. Official WW weigh-in is tomorrow, and tonight's work Christmas party won't help much with that. Sigh. Just trying to tread water right now.

I lied, BL starts again on 1/3/12 (not 1/2/12), which is a Tuesday. I still plan on weighing in on Wednesday mornings.

Ok, I was down to 172.6 this AM. SO back in the right direction.
Former- I do measure once a month and that is coming up on Friday, so I'll see how I'm doing inches wise then. That is also when I'll try on my size 12 pants and see if they fit!
Welcome JD- Like Beth said we don't have any rules. I weigh in on Tuesdays and Fridays (Okay I weigh in almost everyday), but I try not to obsess about the number except on Tuesdays and Fridays. We are here to encourage and congratulate as needed.

167 even this morning. Can't even remember what i was last time i checked in. I'm in with you for the "no excuses" BL event!!! I usually don't watch it on Tuesdays, but will watch it Thursday nights when DBF is at work. That way, I can get on teh elliptical and watch the show (Not what I have been doing - what I had every intention of doing though) and will shoot for again!
Welcome jdnstl!
Gavinsnana - Way to go!!! Keep it up!
MN - even if you don't hit exactly 60 pounds, what you have lost already is a huge accomplishment! Dont' forget that and be proud of it!!!
