12/2/11 173.4 (7/19/11 196)
I'm really craving crappy food, but seeing the scale move in the right direction is helping keep those cravings at bay.
I did something to my knee. Tuesday night we went to Lowe's to pick up some stuff for a mini kitchen redo and one of the boxes wouldn't fit in the backseat (with DS's carseat) and the trunk was full. So I held it in my lap on the way home one of the corners was pressing on my knee. Since then that knee has has been hurting, not a sore achy feeling but sharp shooting pain. I'm hoping I just irritated a nerve and it will be okay in a couple days. I was able to do the elliptical yesterday, but when I tried to do strength training it really hurt. I'm going to give myself today and tomorrow off from the gym to let it rest and hopefully by Sunday it will feel fine.

Yay for progress. Boo for injuries (and boo on my laziness that has me sleeping in instead of working out in the mornings...)

170 as of 2 days ago. The goal was 160-165, which I'm not going to meet anytime soon, for very happy reasons. That project that meant the end of my diet has officially began, so the trick now is to not gain too much weight in the next few months.

Dakota, sorry to hear about your knee. Why don't you just concentrate on your core strength -- situps, side bends, etc, while you've giving your knee a break? Those are pretty big muscles, so you can still burn some serious calories working on those.

Woo hoo! I have officially reached the half way point of my weight loss. 173.4. 22.6 Pounds lost, 22.4 pounds to go! Still haven't gone down a pants size, but I probably should have been wearing a bigger size to begin with and I'm almost in a smaller size, I just don't like how they look. I've gone down almost 2 shirt sizes. I've lost a total 7.5 inches if you add up all the places I measure.
My knee is feeling much better. Yesterday I walked a ton and no pain, so back to the gym tonight.
Former- Congrats! I'm guessing you are pregnant.

Ok, this is weird, I lost 7 lbs in the last 2 weeks, and I quit my diet a month ago. I'm at 163 and am fitting into my pre-marriage clothes that didn't fit 2 weeks ago. Maybe it was the stress of flying out to visit my mom with DH and 2 kids in tow?
It's a bit alarming to loose that much in my condition without the 'benefit' of morning sickness. Did anybody else have that experience?

Down to 231.5 after Thanksgiving increase to 234.5. Mostly water, though.
I have no willpower - I use it all up at work - so I'm reading and thinking about a plan for next year to cut more costs, save that money, and get into shape. I'm trying to work on some concrete, measurable goals, as well as what I need to turn into a habit to make it easier on myself (habits don't need as much willpower to get you to stick to them).

165.3 this morning. I have been between 165 and 166 for the past five weeks now. Hopefully I will start seeing the scale move down sometime soon.
My family will officially have a gym membership on Monday. We are going down to the local Y (as that is all that is near us) and getting the family membership. DS wants to resume his swim classes and the membership saves us $40 each session. I think to start with I am also going to sign tp for one of their group classes during the week so at least I know I will get there at least once a week. If it goes well the 1st session I may do 2 classses the next session.
The one thing I really like is that on Friday's from 6-8 they do Family fun night in the gym so we can all go and let DS run around vs. putting him in Child Watch if both DH and I go on the same night. They also do Family Swim on the weekends that we will probably try and do just so he is getting as much activity as possible in the cold winter months.

227.0 this morning. Back up a pound this week. Not letting it get to me. I didn't meet my action goals. Refocus.
Goal for next week: 4 pounds
Action goal 1: 20 minutes on the rebounder every day except Saturday (I will be at a waterpark out of state) Action goal 2: Drink at least 48 ounces of water every day. I'm sliding a little bit, need to get back to it.
Happy losing ladies!

MN-Invester 172½ lbs 12/8/11 (226 lbs. 4/14/11)
The good news - I'm down a pound from last week! But looking at my spreadsheet, this is what I weighed four weeks ago. Sigh.
I did weigh 171½ yesterday; I just didn't make the best food choices.
Dakota - You are inspiring. I so much want to be in the 160s by Christmas! The 25th is also my birthday, so I'm sure I'll be in some photos on that day.

I keep forgetting to check in on here. Bad me! I weighed in at WW yesterday at 171. Considering I'd been celebrating my birthday for the past week and not paying attention to what I was eating, I was okay with the 0.4 increase. I'm back on track this week and working really hard to eat healthy. I'm trying to get my body into the best shape possible for babymaking lol. It's hard though. Granola is not nearly as appealing as a donut, but it was pretty good. Trying to add more fruits and veggies and cut down on processed foods. I also am trying to work out more. I had zumba last night, and if I wasn't on a deadline for a freelance project, I'd hit up the gym tonight. But I am walking a lot at lunch. Baby steps...

MN- We both can do it. We are weighing the same right now. I was 172.6 this AM. We've got just over 2 weeks to lose 2.5 pounds. I'm committing to a 5th day at the gym both this week and next (which means Saturday and Sunday this week, because I missed Monday). Then next week, I may have to go in the morning one day to get them all in, but I will do it. I so want to see the 160's on the scale again.

sam - what is it? I can use all the encouragement I can get to work out. I have a pedometer and try for 10k steps a day. I usually get pretty close.
Usually on the weekends I forget I'm being healthy and have terrible for me breakfasts, but today I am being good and had a light english muffin with PB instead of big breakfast of waffles and bacon with no nutritional value. We have a wedding tonight so I need to save up to eat there.

sam- I believe some of the ladies do use my fitness pal; some of them also use spark people and other tools as well. When I go back to the doctor in January, she is handing me a personalized plan

My workout with my trainer was rough, my thighs are so sore! And not much movement on the scale 172.2 I'm still shooting for 169.9 by Christmas morning.

My naked weight this morning was 168, which is a smidge lower than last week's naked weight. We'll see if my clothed weight at WW is also lower than last week (I use their number for consistency). That'd be nice. I overindulged at a wedding this weekend but I kind of made up for it by being pretty good the rest of the week so we'll see.
Great job Gavinsnana!!
Dakota - Better than going up!

Red - www.myfitnesspal.com/ - its a free tracker for food & exercise. I guess its similar to SparkPeople (from what I have heard), but I joined this because Spark does not account for pregnant/nursing, but MFP will. Its amazing to see how quickly the calories add up, and how making little substitutions really helps out. In the 2 months since we have been tracking, DH has lost 20+ lbs and I lost the last 10lbs of baby weight. And I like the smart phone app. If you are eating packaged food, you just scan the barcode and it automatically logs it for you

Acemom 166.7 lbs 12/12/11 (174.0 lbs. 7/18/11) Down 3 pounds from last week. Still not feeling great, but now it's a stomach thing - not a virus, but i feel so full all day every day, that I don't want to eat anything... I'm trying, but then I just end up with indigestion all day Sam - I have the myfitnesspal app too. I like the scanner - it's so much easier than finding it and typing it all in. I'm not as diligent about it as I should be though. Congrats to you and hubby on losing weight together.

dakota - wow, 25lbs is amazing!! Awesome job! I was at 181 in Jan 2010 and got down to 160 by July, but after wedding in October went back up to 171. Ugh. Been trying (not very hard, to be honest) to get back down to 155 for a year now. But this time I'm REALLY trying, because I want to be as healthy as possible for a pregnancy. Having a possible future child to consider is helping motivate me. And now you are - any secrets you want to share?

Myfitnesspal - if anyone wants to add me as a friend, my user name is bwatt11. I thought of you this morning sam, when I scanned my cereal and milk for breakfast! Thanks for the reminder to use it!! Down to 166 even. I think I can keep from going crazy and eating a ton of stuff My stomach finally feels better, but I think I will continue to take it easy and eat way smaller portions and not bad for me food... Ever have a day where everything works? You have a great hair day, your makeup looks good, clothes fit ok and you feel rockin??? That's me today! Not sure why, but I'll take it! ;D
