Several years ago I kept getting head colds and sinus infections. My doctor told me to take a cold tablet at the first sign. It worked.
What worked better was controlling my allergies which helped my immune system. Flu shot. I take zinc and one airborne a day during cold/flu season. Not when I start feeling bad.
My point. No one is recommending preventive procedures like that to help fight Covid 19. I wonder if people who get the flu shot have lesser covid 19 results and symptoms than those who did not get the immunization. The statisticians will be kept busy.
My local news constantly closes the covid updates with a list of tips, including getting a flu shot. An antivaxxer on CD keeps insisting having gotten a flu shot makes one more susceptible to covid-19. I don't know. I already got mine anyway. I also used to get tons of sinus infections until I finally got sinus "surgery" +balloons opened up my sinuses. Ii worked way better than expected for a while. Now I add an allergy pill every day. I haven't had a sinus infection since that surgery. Another thing Ive noticed is that when I'd get overwhelmed by allergies, I'd get sick, and it reminds me of what people say about the "cytocline storm" (sp). Anyway, I'm making sure my kids get an allergy pill every day as well, plus their gummy vitamins, because, why not?

What do you think social distancing, not touching your face and washing your hands are? These are ALL preventative measures to help keep you from getting sick. The flu shot has absolutely NOTHING to do with lessor viral symptoms. Suggesting this is like suggesting a flu shot will stop the measles. Different viruses, different antigens, different immune responses.

In the past, we were exposed to significantly more infectious disease. Our immune system is a marvel. Flu vaccine will not make you more likely to get COVID. Just more antivaxer nonsense. They need something new since this disease is making people talk about vaccines

Now that I look again, the paper isn't saying it any longer--probably because we are beyond flu season. The anti flu vaccine argument is self explanatory. 😉

What is going on with our assessment and manufacturing of next years flu vaccine since it is all COVID all the time

Satire from The Borowitz Report CNN to Show Phone Number of Poison-Control Hotline Whenever Trump Speaks
By Andy Borowitz WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—CNN announced on Tuesday that it will show the phone number of a national poison-control hotline whenever Donald Trump appears on the air. Speaking on behalf of the network, Wolf Blitzer, the veteran anchor, said that CNN was adopting the new policy out of concern for “the health and safety of our viewers.” “At CNN, we strive to keep our viewers informed. But, in order to do that, we must first keep them alive,” he said. In order to implement the new policy, Sanjay Gupta, the network’s chief medical correspondent, will monitor CNN’s programming on a twenty-four-hour basis for any signs of Trump. “The moment Donald Trump appears, Sanjay will flip a switch and the flashing poison-control number will appear onscreen,” Blitzer said. The phone number will disappear as soon as someone other than Trump, such as Anthony Fauci, begins to speak. “If Trump interrupts Dr. Fauci and starts talking again, Sanjay will punch the number back up,” the host of “The Situation Room" indicated.
