Water, salad, yogalates + a walk tonight. Finally got a decent amount of steps in, at around 8000. Better than 3000! Hopefully this watch will work better now.

Water, salad and hike today. I only got about 6000 steps today, but between the hills and stairs in the dunes, I got 25 flights of stairs, according to my watch. I was wiped out, though. I had a big (for me) glass of wine with dinner right before the hike, which probably wasn't the best choice.

I'm back yet again. I had to purchase a new phone last week due to despicable hackers and attempting to wire transfer money from my checking account. It's been a nightmare trying to get everything straightened out and I just downloaded the stridekick app again. Changing usernames, passwords, etc. I've been stress eating and not much walking. I'm getting back on track.

I did the water/veggies/exercise yesterday, but most days last week only got 2 out of 3. Did a little shopping yesterday, and that boosted my step count way up. I've noticed that before. I told my DH I should just go shopping every day, and he said go for it, and to go get manicures and pedicures as well. Guess he's not worried about me spending us out of house and home! Anyway, still at 163.0, but should probably weigh myself today. Too much bread eaten the last couple of days. Bread/cheese/wine are all my downfalls.
Oh! I'm starting something new during workdays here at home. I read about 20-20-20 for eye strain. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Well, I'm combining that with standing up, walking across my house, and also concentrating on my posture for the 20 seconds. I was also having problems with my shoulders and back from sitting hunched over too much, and I barely get up at home. I'll report back if doing this helps.

I'm feeling like I'm in a better place re steps in September. Maybe taking it easy this summer (even though most of it was out of my control) really was worth it.
Now I need to get my diet back on track. I don't eat super unhealthy, but with WFH I'm not getting near the vegetable intake I used to. You'd think I'd be more willing to make and eat salads when the kitchen with all the fixings is only steps away, but no. Partly b/c I don't want to go to the grocery store and deal with humanity and partly b/c I'd prefer to buy take out fancy salads. Which I guess I could still do, but I'm lazy, haha. Anyway, my goal this week is to eat more veggies at lunch. We do pretty good at dinner, so I just need to incorporate more into my lunch. I CAN do this. I CAN! I hope, LOL.

My step count for the last week or so dropped like a rock. I was feeling icky all week for some reason - not "sick" sick just general vague yucky-ness. I'm feeling better now, so I need to get back at it. There's no way I'm going to even come close to my September goal, but I'll try to get as many steps as possible.
Not really a health goal this week (except for my wallet's health), but I'm going to limit myself to ONLY 2!!!!!!!! Starbucks drinks for the week. I usually go every day - sometimes twice , so this is a major change for me. I finally got myself set up to make big batches at home.
Those are my only goals for the week: aim for 115,000 steps and 2 Starbucks.

Ugh, my weight is up, and not budging. I also just finished the last cookie, so maybe I'll be able to make some progress over the next 2 weeks until we get birthday cake in the house. I have no self control.

My update is too pathetic and sad to bother posting. I completely lost all motivation. Ugh. I'm giving up on September and will get my act together on Oct. 1. That gives me a couple more days to wallow in my laziness.

My September started out really well, but went off the rails about halfway through. I was almost 40,000 steps below my goal. Yikes! Oh, but I did exceed my goal of only going to Starbuck's 1-2 times a week. It's been 20 days and I haven't bought Starbuck's even once!
October is a new month. My goal is 500,000 steps. I need to get with it while the weather is still nice.

Last weekend was a dumpster fire for eating, and I gained. Then, I've been noted wfh, which makes me want to snack/day drink Most of the junk food is now gone and I have more work to do today, so hopefully I can get back to eating sensibly. I have done my kettlebell workouts/veggies/water the last couple of days. Just need to keep that up.

Okay, back on my game. I averaged just over 17,000 steps this last week. That puts me on track to meet my October step goal if I can keep it up. My weight hasn't budged. I'm attempting intermittent fasting, but it's not going all that well. I think I'm going to have to go back to low carb, which bums me out, but something needs to change.

I hit my step goal last week. This week is going to be tough, b/c I'm super busy with work stuff that will keep me in front of my computer for many hours at a time.
We've been having some lovely fall weather and I hope it continues. Most years we skip fall and go straight from summer to winter, so I'm trying to enjoy this by spending as much time outdoors as i can.

I did okay this past week. Averaged 16,560 daily steps which was down a bit from last week, but still keeps me on track for my monthly goal.
Bigger story: I've accepted the reality of the scale and it's time to shake things up. Yep, back to the low carb lifestyle. My goal is to stay under 40g today as a transition, then stay under 25 g/day the rest of the week. I'm already sad lol. I need to lose 7 pounds total.
So, goals this week:
Continue averaging at least 16,500 daily steps Keep carbs low enough to hit ketosis and stay there
If I can do those 2 things, I'll count the week as a win.

I’ve been stuck in a pity party and can give a list of “reasons” for why I’ve not been exercising and eating a ridiculous amount of carbs. Time to smack myself upside the head and put on my big girl panties.
Because I need at least something positive I will say that my water intake has been excellent. I’ve been at least at 64 oz /per day and usually in the 70-ounce range.
That said, I still have heartburn from yesterday’s eating. It actually kept me up last night.

Hit step goal.
Food choices over the weekend contained salt. Hoping weight increase is just temporary water weight.
Even though every night when I got home from work I really wanted on adult beverage I only had them on Friday and Saturday night.
Did well on not eating after 8:30 during the week not so much on weekend.
This week's step goal 100,000. No eating after 8:30. Drink 24 ounces of water after work. Do 20 minutes of strength training.

I had a pretty good week. My steps were down a bit, so I need to get those back up. The low carb thing sucks, but I'm sticking to it - down 3.6 pounds in 7 days. 3.4 pounds to go. I really need to start weight lifting again; I'm getting old lady arms lol. This week is going to be crazy busy (yeah that's an excuse, but I'm using it!), so I'll put that off until next week.
Goals for this week:
Get my step count back up Maintain the low carb eating at least another week Find wherever I stashed my hand weights, so I can start using them next week
Good enough! Have a fantastic week everyone!
