I've been grinding on 12 hour days here and hardly a lunch break. I ordered a Panera family feast today at lunch and DH picked it up. $45 with tip but it fed us lunch and dinner and I didn't have to cook. There's 2 chocolate chip cookies and a big chunk of baguette left.
We got a full baguette, 4 chocolate chip cookies, Caesar salad, quart of broccoli cheddar soup, Chipotle chicken panini and bacon turkey bravo sandwich.
Thursday night we are having dinner out with a friend prior to going to a viewing for another friend's mother.

We had spaghetti & garlic bread. There is pineapple upside down cake for desert.

mooch and M are coming up tonight. I'm making mooch's mom's meatloaf for him (and he will take whatever's left with him) with green beans and mashed potatoes. I need to figure out something to do with BSCB that goes well with mashed potatoes and doesn't have garlic or onion. the chicken is for M and me.

I would say I do something with a mushroom sauce, that is great with mashed potatoes and green beans. I'm pretty sure my version has garlic though.
I double checked no garlic. Google Hello Fresh Mushroom Chicken Scallopini. Since unfortunately the link will take you to a sign up page if I post it.
I need to figure out something to do with the chicken I thawed yesterday. That can be lunch. I had good intentions. But I'm very happy I didn't have to cook last night.

I was thinking mushroom sauce, but I just did that with chicken thighs on Sunday or Monday. it was super tasty, but again? idk. and thanks, daisy, but you lost me with all the mustards. honestly, this is why the three of us just do tacos so often. our tastes don't overlap much at all. I think I'll dig through my saved recipe links to see if something jumps out at me.

I have done a sauce in the past that's balsamic vinegar, butter and like cherry jam, the good Bonne Mamman one. Not sure if cherries are are on the dislike list. I would go with some sort of sauce for the chicken.
I'm going to throw my chicken in the instant pot and do a teriyaki chicken for lunch.

that sounds tasty, wvu. cherries are safe, but not something I usually have on hand. I found this out of my saved links and it sounded tasty, especially as the weather is very spring-like today. I do a pasta primavera that is loaded with leeks, for any spring gatherings (there was a stretch of bridal/baby showers awhile back). Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms and Leeks

Tonight I am using up some gift cards and going to Red Robin for a early dinner. If needed I will do take out. Not sure what I am having for the next few days but I am fairly sure pancakes or waffles and bacon are going to be involved. Also a pork roast in the crock pot with ital seasoning and sliced peppercini is heavily on my mind.

Thursday night was dinner out.
Friday my sister in law is hosting dinner. Our contribution is a chocolate cake for her son's birthday. Luckily he just wants the cake and no theme because I have no time for my usual themes/decorations.

tonight's going to be takeout. I just haven't decided from where, yet. I've got some pans from last night still soaking in soapy water. I'm not adding to the pile left to wash.

The last week I have been living off of meatloaf and liver/onions leftovers. Fish tonight, pan frying walleye. Feel sorry for all you folks who have never had walleye.

I've had walleye, muskie, sun fish, crappie and various trout. My dad loved fishing and so did some of mom's relatives. I do not miss trying to pick those bones out though. Now that I'm here on the East Coast the big thing would be rock lobster and ocean fish. Did you catch and clean your walleye?

Hi everyone! This week: ~Tonight: Pork chops slow cooked in teriyaki sauce and minced garlic with riced cauliflower on the side. I'll also serve up some game food including air fried mozzarella sticks and breaded shrimp. $10-ish ~Taco Tuesday: Cod (2-pound family pack) taco salads with leftover riced cauliflower. $3.50 $5.37~Wednesday: Breakfast for supper including pancakes, sausage links and eggs. I buy eggs in the 60-count box, the sausage is a 50-count bag, and I make my own pancake mix. We have 2 large and one tiny bottle of syrup to use up. The tiny one was purchased at the World Market and is from Canada. $3.00 ~Thursday: Anniversary dinner. Steak and fried okra. $? ~Friday: Take out from? Zatarain's w/ the rest of the dehydrated cherry tomatoes with homemade bacon maple almond bread. Still focusing on using up the syrup.~Saturday: Not sure yet ~Sunday: Grill/smoke something I was mistaken about how many cod fillets there are in the family pack, so I revised tonight's dinner cost. More adjustments, LOL. (Last night's grilled steak with takeout fried okra was delicious, BTW. I also ordered a slice of turtle cheesecake and bought a few mini bottles of Korbel.

Did catch a limit in January while ice fishing but ate that already. One of my churches is doing a free walleye fish fry on April 1, expect to serve about 800 meals.

Limit in my area is now 4, use to be 6, keeps changing. Walleye is a white fish so lots of variety of what you can serve with it. I just did a simple salad and fried potatoes tonight

frozen pizza last night, with some added veggies. tonight, maybe IP risotto. just thinking about what's left in the fridge to use up before trash pickup, and I know there's an open carton of broth.

Tonight, chili for hubs and I
DD will have mac and cheese with a hot dog
We will include the mac and cheese with some meal the next night.
I do cook separate foods for her at times, I don't mind, its not that much trouble. She likes a lot of foods but the chili is not something she likes and I make it hotter for hubs and I anyway.
Maybe a box cheesecake too, we really like those.

It's DH's night to cook, so he is doing baked steelhead trout and cabbage stewed with tomatoes. Tomorrow night I'm up, so it's a baked Cornish hen with boxed stuffing amped up with sauteed carrots, onions and celery, and some steamed Brussels sprouts.

I have always cooked for a large amount of people, and lately have been trying to scale down for just DH and me. I managed to make just the right amount of noodles for just the two of us, and I had enough sauce to freeze for 3 more 2 person meals.

Happy Pi Day everyone!
~Last night DH grilled half and half burgers, and I made green beans and air fried parmesan and pork rind breaded eggplant fries. The eggplant fries are SO good! $13 with several leftover burger patties. ~Tonight: Baja shrimp tacos on top of romaine leaves with cherry tomatoes, olives, zucchini, yellow squash and air fried breaded shrimp on the side. $12-ish for 2 servings. ~Tues: Air fryer chicken legs, side veggie. (I buy the 4.5-pound drumstick family pack and divide them into freezer bags.) $4.00 ~Wed: Doctored up Cauliflower crust pizza $7.48 ~Thurs: Leftovers from the freezer. It's time once again to make room. I'm thinking the lasagna from last month? $0 ~Fri: Take out from? ~Sat: A belated St. Patrick's Day birthday party with a Meat In Day theme. We'll have smoked pork belly, corned beef, and a pot of ground beef and sausage chili. I'll bake Irish soda bread, cupcakes, and cornbread, and make fudge using white chocolate chips dyed green. Friends will bring salads, etc. ~Sun: Leftovers

Not a great dinner, leftover mac and cheese, fried potatoes, and DD and hubs wanted hot dogs, so we did. I just wasn't interested in cooking tonight, I get that way, a lot anymore.

Monday night a crispy chicken wrap and cheese stick on the road. $8 total.
Tuesday night I made southwest chicken foil packets. Estimated costs $8 for 4 servings. The 2 leftover packets will become lunch or dinner another night.

Ended up going simple, chicken salad using chicken from a can. About $1.75 for the serving. Need to make the tuna patties again, but it was too late for me to want to do so tonight.

I picked up some cod while I was out this afternoon. I'm going to roast that with another bunch of broccolini, and reheat some capellini with piccata sauce as a starch. I'm trying to use stuff up before I leave on Friday.
tomorrow I'll keep working through the chicken piccata leftovers, and have no problem tossing extra pasta. I cooked way too much last night. either tomorrow or Friday morning, I''ll throw what's left of the broccolini into an omelet with some baby spinach.
