We had TG catered and did apps for Christmas, so today I have a turkey in the oven. It is larger than I expected at 22 pounds, but freezes well for stuff like soup so it won't go to waste. I will even be making bone broth from the carcass.
Rounded out with mashed potatoes, stuffing (Stove Top), heavy and asparagus. Might even see if we have enough canned goods to do a small portion of green bean casserole for DH.

I couldn't get out of my own way last night, so I dressed up a frozen pizza. 🤷♀️
pork Milanese, etc, is happening tonight. mashed is done, arugula salad is sitting, and pork is frying. asparagus will go under the broiler when I drop the 2nd set of thin chops in the oil.

tonight I wiped out the end of the Chinese takeout, except some edamame. I filched some white rice from what I cooked for the pups tonight, and I'll trade that for the shelled edamame I'll share tomorrow and the next day. 🙃

Nothing nutritious. Jumbo Slovenian Sausage on a steamed bun, topped with coleslaw, our House Made BBQ sauce, and our hand cut French Fries! Ordered from a local small restaurant who experienced broken pipes on Christmas Eve.

tonight, I'm staying home on Amateur Night.  I picked up a bag of corn chips today, so I can make nachos out of things that were already here. yesterday, I fired up the crock pot for black bean pulled chicken. most of it is already in the freezer now. I just actually cooked off a black bean patty for "lunch" as I really suck at adulting. oops. nachos are probably in line for 8, 830pm. idk |

We are ordering pizza later. I think DH is getting wings too. I'm not in the mood for any of the local wing options.
I've got some cheese sticks in the freezer. I'm baking off the end of a package of bacon and will make mini potato skins with the end of a bag of tots.
We are finishing off the buffalo dip right now.
December was a rough one with travel and holidays. Looking forward to getting back into a cooking routine in January.
I threw the rest of the chicken breasts in the instant pot last night and made shredded chicken. The freezer is restocked now.
