DH made pizza steak subs last night. I usually do not eat after I get home, usually around 6-6:30, but he was excited so I told him I would take a small portion of the 12 inch Italian sub roll. It was really good, but still too much bread for me. Next time I will ask him to make mine a wrap.

Oyster sauce makes a good glaze. I make something similar to this: linkIt also adds flavor to any Asian noodle dish. One of my favorites (I add a teaspoon of grated ginger): Pancit BihonThe uses are endless: Asian salad dressings, marinades, veggie dishes, add to soups, it goes on and on. If it is like actual oyster sauce it does not take a lot to add big flavor, so start sparingly. I've never been a huge wings fan, but that glaze sounds tasty. I definitely saved the second link. I rice noodles, too. that sounds amazing!

I am a chicken-on-the-grill type person, so I have also used it to glaze chicken shish kabobs. It is so versatile!

I was going to do a chicken stir fry for dinner. Instead we will be picking up a BBQ picnic pack from a local chain and taking the food to the in laws.
I've never had food from there. I've heard it's decent but not outstanding.
I'll bake up a batch of brownies on my afternoon training break.

I wasn't sure what the painter's scope was for tonight, and he left a little while ago. I just dropped some frozen spinach ravioli to boil, and I'll pour over some jarred marinara I had open in the fridge. I'm done with today.

It's a much cooler for the next few days so I have spaghetti sauce thawing in the fridge along with some split pea soup for this weekend. I will be cooking a pizza for dinner tomorrow and boiling some corn so it gets eaten and not forgotten. I am also thinking a frittata or quiche for later nibbles.

I like capers, I make piccata dishes fairly often and I like them on fully and properly dressed bagels. 🙃 my actual dinner tonight was a ramen bowl. I swiped some shredded BSCB from the pup stash and used up some veggies I already had. I used the "naked noodz" and chicken broth since I had an open carton in the fridge. it was meh, but it was healthy food I already had on hand.

I was going to pan saute the chicken and slice it up to be served over salad. I wasn't feeling it at all.
So I took inspiration from Angel's dinner and made a chicken mushroom risotto. I've stirred shredded chicken in after but all I had this time was raw. I cubed it and sauteed it before I added the mushrooms.
It's going to be stupid late but it's something I'm excited to eat.

Clueless…..
TD just announced we have a ‘do’ at the club tonight that he signed us up for. Booze and heavy appetizers. I figure if the appetizers are not as heavy as they say, we can either stay for dinner or pick up a pizza.

it took way longer to go pick up Punk than I thought, and I'm a little dizzy from only having had a small breakfast sandwich early this morning. so I'm eating now and calling it good. I've been trying to clear out the freezer, and use up stuff I don't regularly have around.
frozen spinach ravioli with jarred sauce (I had one open in the fridge) with some shredded chicken breast from the pup stash. I might microplane some grana padano cheese over the top, idk.

Took grandma out and met some of my cousins for dinner. Steak, baked potato and Texas toast bread. They used to have a baked potato topping bar pre covid. They bring it all to you now. The potato was so good.

Skate wing in brown butter. Jasmine rice. Arugula and spinach salad with clementimes. That sounds pretty good Welts. I love clementimes. Tonight is pretty piecemeal as I am tired and moving slowly. Indulged in an off the Eaten Path snack and had one of my already cooked chicken & kale sausages. No dairy dessert chocolate covered bar for dessert plus part of a non dairy seasonal doughnut I wanted to try. Blueberry icing.

I made a grocery list based on the flyer that starts tomorrow morning, so tonight is very slim pickins as I cleaned out the fridge this afternoon. I'm boiling off the rest of a bag of spinach ravioli and tossing with fresh homemade pesto. I also swiped some shredded chicken breast from the pups. there's more ravioli left than I expected, so there will be some leftover.
after the past few days, I am pasta'd out.

I'll use the left over ground meat in baked beans. Side of cole slaw. This week will be Resers macaroni and potato salad for sides or even the main meal. Roast from Instapot. The temperature is to be in the hundreds. One evening, H. ate nothing but ice cream. I really like frozen mixed berries with cool whip. I froze precooked hamburger patties for quick meals. My GF gave us homemade individual cheesecakes she made. Yummy. So simple. A vanilla wafer then cheesecake filling and dollop of pie filling. I'd use cream cheese flavor pudding.

tonight will be stuffed mushrooms and a small salad. my stuffing is roasted garlic chicken sausage, bread crumbs, fresh grated cheese and minced parsley from my garden basket. 🤤
edit - I would have gotten full from a big bulky salad, so I ended up cutting chunks from a baguette I bought to make croutons. pups got a bunch of the baguette chunks, I had some pesto and cheesy seasoned dipping oil for what I kept for myself. I'm stuffed.

It's a pot of ham/beans tonight & I'll put some cornbread in the oven shortly. Since we had the other half of a center ham slice the other night with green beans & hash browns...needed to use the rest of the ham before it went bad. And since my DH is a meat/tater/bean guy...he will be in 7th heaven having a couple or 3 nights of beans & cornbread.

DS's birthday was yeaterday, but he had a car show and wasn't home. Tonight I'm making one of his favourites. Pork tenderloin, jasmine rice and peas.

patio night for the pups, going to see about branching out and ordering something different there. idk. I'll manage to sneak a couple bites of chicken tenders as I cut up theirs, too.

I added a lot of vegetables and a can of chicken to the cole slaw I made last night. Cool and refreshing as well as healthy.
For lunch I had cold baked beans and frozen berries. For snack tonight I'll finish the beans.

Dinner Monday night is unstuffed peppers. That's as far as I've got with dinners this week. Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

someone on a local home cook group put up a pic of her solo turkey burger early dinner, and I was craving one the entire time I was out picking up the pups and making a few stops. I cooked off a frozen Butterball one in a skillet, as I was waiting on a supposed incoming downpour that still hasn't happened at almost 11pm...🙄
turkey burger with provolone, pesto, L/T/O on toasted ciabatta.
$3.49 - 4pk of ciabatta $2 - package of sliced provolone, I think a 10ct? everything else was here... 🤷♀️

Tonight is roasted salmon and cauliflower with couscous and salsa. Than over the weekend it will be a broccoli salad bulked up with cheese tortellini.
And I have been having cooling drinks of watermelon, water and ice turned into a slushie to keep hydrated and cool.
