for real, the dishes. I feel like I run my dishwasher every damn day. and there is a lot of stuff that doesn't go in there.
I think tomorrow is going to be takeout. especially after getting a push notification from the app I use to order Chinese and sushi - I haven't ordered in awhile, did they do something wrong? lol...

I was lazy and didn't slice and put my chicken breast in meal size packets before freezing. Now I have 5 chicken breast to cook. I have chicken taco season for about 1 pound maybe 1.5 lbs. I can bake the rest for oriental salad and some with orange/mushroom sauce. The last two need to be frozen for a week or two.

I'm craving Chinese takeout, hard. that might have to happen tonight. rice noodles and some sort of veggie, I think.
ETA: the drive home from the vet was dicey, I'm in for the night. Chinese takeout will have to wait til tomorrow. tonight I'm piling veggies onto an American Flatbread frozen pizza.

DH's parents invited us for pizza. So we are taking the free meal. Bonus of no more dishes! I need to get out of this house too so that helps.

This is more lunch and dinner.
I was lazy and didn't separate out my large package of chicken breasts to meal size before freezing. I thawed them and have started recipes of Parisian Chicken in the oven. It's supposed to be stove top but I bake it.
The other half will go into chicken tacos. Those will be stove top.
I will freeze half of each recipe.

Bacon and tomato sandwich for lunch (ISO had bacon and eggs) Pork chops, salad and bacon wrapped asparagus for supper. The chops and asparagus were on sale. It's going to be about $10 for 3 of us.

Picked up a family-size package of chicken breasts on sale at the grocery store. Each piece is very large; I sliced off about a third of one, diced it and added it to celery and carrots and onion for chicken noodle soup for lunch. The remaining piece will be sliced lengthwise, blackened and served on brioche buns with sweet potato puffs for dinner.

I got that Chinese takeout today. $23 for what will be 2 meals, that works. I got pork gyoza (6pc), veggie spring rolls (2pc) and a small veggie rice noodles. I probably should have gotten the large rice noodles for $2 more....another quick bite. oh well, next time. it definitely scratched the itch.
I also asked when I went to pick up, there was a veggie entree that is on their takeout menu, but not available on the app (stir fry baby bok choy) and they assured me if I call to order, I can get it. I'd have ordered that instead of the gyoza and spring rolls. duly noted for next time!

grocery shopping is tomorrow at some point. tonight was easy, clean out the leftovers. I made bruschetta with the last plum tomato that hadn't gone bad (that was a surprise, it had only been a few days... 😒) and tossed that with a chopped black peppercorn chicken breast and some bowties.
I'll figure out the week after my run to the store tomorrow.

Sunday night is leftovers.
Not sure about the week yet. I was going to do pork BBQ but that might wait for another week depending on what needs used up.

DD just texted me that she ordered shrimp fried rice and a spring roll for me. For dinner. It's almost 9. I'd be eating dinner at 9 why?
If I never ever again have a drive thru or restaurant meal it will be too soon.

grocery store isn't happening til tomorrow. instead, I hit up the fish market and picked up a beautiful piece of salmon that I will split with the golden. I'm debating how I want to prep it for myself. I could roast some tiny potatoes and veggies, or maybe make a scampi sauce for it over linguine. decisions, decisions. ETA: seeking suggestions/votes for tomorrow, I'm leaving the fish til then. I'm over today and not that hungry. I'll probably heat up a can of soup.

So it was tuna waffles and coleslaw tonight. Okay, they call them keto tuna cakes but an argument could be made that they are tuna waffles. 😅 Either way, they are great.

I am not a salmon fan so I have no suggestions.
DH wanted Chinese and a break from dishes. I already feel dehydrated and for me Chinese seems to be as bad as Olive Garden for leaving me feeling like I've been licking a salt brick. He ordered whatever he wanted.
I'm heating up a calzone from the freezer. I've been wanting one. I've made some excellent calzones since I remembered what dough recipe I used in the past.
The small pork loin roast will be Tuesday's dinner.

I went to make the butter chicken and no Garam masala, so grilled them instead.
It’s about time for me to start putting together an order for FM for TD to pick up.

I ate the shrimp fried rice that DD brought me on Sunday night. It was okay but really just something to put in my stomach. There's a lot left that will probably go in the trash because anymore I. Just. Can't.
Supper tonight is chicken pot pie even if nobody eats it but me. Need to have real food

this will probably be a late lunch instead of dinner, but it will be my big meal of the day so we'll go with that. I decided that I'm going to stir fry some veggies and make a simple teriyaki sauce to pour over salmon and some quick noodles. I've got some odds and ends of some veggies from the past week, and I picked up some bean sprouts on my grocery run this morning. easy enough.

Small pork tenderloin roast, sauteed zucchini and macaroni and cheese for Tuesday.
Tired of cooking and tired of dishes but if we are getting more beef in April, there needs to be more room in the freezer.

I'm having taco salad. I made guacamole the other day and I have all the stuff. It's 70* here and I want to see if I can find a patio to have a margarita at, but it's February in KC, so I'm likely not going to find one.

I'm really trying to break the rut I've been in lately of pasta. tomorrow I'll be there again, planning turkey piccata.
today I had a light lunch of stuffed mushrooms, and now I'm waiting on a baked potato. I just threw some broccoli onto the potato drip pan, some shredded rotisserie chicken will get added with 5min to cook. next up is a Monterey jack cheese sauce.

Going to make veggy soup, have stew meat thawed for it. Bought celery yesterday adds such a nice taste, have all the rest of the ingredients. But I just can't make small amounts so we have to eat it for to long. Potatoes and cabbage in it doesn't freeze well.
