I'm at $248 so far for March. That wouldn't be bad for a 4 week month, but this is a 5 week month for grocery shopping. I'm keeping my grocery bill down but I'm incorporating a lot of frugal habits I didn't worry about before. I don't buy my meat at Costco anymore and I have switched to a can of Folgers from Costco instead of Keurig cups.

I'm up to $504 for March. Kind of depressing considering we are only half way through the month and my goal was $500. I did get a lot of meat and other proteins last week so hopefully the bulk is done and it's just odds and ends for the rest of the month.

$168 +$148 +$56 +80 = $452
So far, this is straight groceries as we haven't needed any HBAs so far this month. This also does not include eating out, but that has been very minimal this month. The only meal I have eaten out is an Arby's fish sandwich. I do not know what DH had spent on eating out as we do not track each other's every spend.

I'm so annoyed that Costco's parmesan has gone up to $13.59/pound.

$168
+$148
+$56
+$80 +$30
=$482
Limiting grocery trips to 1 per week has helped a lot, as I was spending over $200/week.

I will try in April, but the meat is spread over several months, so would need to do so.
With the home canned goods I have put back and meat kind of skews the price.

March: $214.62 Food $13.96 HBAs/cleaning/paper products (napkins, facial tissue, slow cooker liners, cupcake liners) $10.90 Tax $239.48
Buying the half pig and quarter cow really cuts down on the monthly grocery bill. I do buy other protein such as chicken, fish, shrimp, and the occasional Cornish game hen. And, as I've mentioned in the What is for Dinner Tonight thread, I buy family packs when possible, including chicken breasts, drumsticks, fish, and 60-count boxes of eggs.
Last year I spent a rounded monthly average of $368 on food and $82 on HBAs, etc.

I think some of the Walmart purchases were groceries, I'm trying to get bread and some items like pickles and things there as they are less, so I doubt I have all of them.
So far $22.91 91.95 36.06 202.37 58.30 65.12 31.09
$507.60 total so far
Not counting eating out which we did several times this month.
I ordered TP and paper towels, so not included in this total
