We spent $496.04 this month so far. I automatically transfer $500 into the "grocery account" every month on the 27th, so I've decided to count from transfer to transfer. If I count by calendar month, then I'm over by $100.
However, by spending that extra $100 yesterday, we won't have to go to the store until this weekend. I'm happy with how the month turned out.

We spent $514.62 so far this month, but that include HBA’s, so probably closer to $450.00. Quite a bit of that was for meat and fish as we were out of almost all proteins. I did make a Costco run but that was mostly for household items and gifts.

Went to WM Saturday and bought drinking water (we're on a well), and a few snacky items. $26.55 w/ tax.
I do need to go to the grocery store tonight for fresh produce which I consider a priority, so no guilt.

When we were on a well I drank the water. It's full of minerals so it's good for you, right?

We finally went through almost all the stuff in the freezer, so I'll be spending more in May replacing all the proteins that were in the freezer after I defrost it.

As mentioned, I went to the grocery store last night. Saved 36% using coupons and e-coupons. $48.28 spent on produce, deli meat, protein bars for DH's lunch and BOGO vitamin D. Totals for the month: $412.69 Food (includes a Sam's Club run, and an extra trip for camping items)
$94.97 HBAs, paper products I spoke with a client yesterday who raises steer every year because we are interested in buying half of one. He said they will be ready at the end of October. If it goes as well as last year's half pig bought from neighbors and the deer DH harvested, we will be golden.

I'm trying to be better about not eating red meat. Only fish and birds. That should help with the cost of groceries. I'm defrosting the big freezer this weekend I hope it's not a huge mess.

I'm doing better, need to run a tally and see what I spent this month, but I know it wasn't any $800. also the phone, Dish, etc is less so giving us more disposable income. Buying meat at the amish place helped too, what we got is delicious and will last at least 2 months I think. We are going back when we need to replenish, no more of that crappy ecoli laden stuff. Another recall today.
I wish my family was fond of fish and chicken, it would be so much better for all of us. I am anxious to see in the next 2 months if this cholesterol drug is helping me.

I spent around $200 this week on 3 different visits. I hadn't been planning meals very well. Now I am.
I was used to a full freezer of meat. The freezer quit and ruined all the meat. I would buy regular frozen staples on reduced prices, so we lost all of that. We did have some meat in our 2nd freezer.

I spent $293 so far this month. If I prorate the cow to $45 per month, then it comes out to $338, so I am doing really well.
I still have one more shopping trip on Tuesday, but so far there is nothing on the shopping list. I think saving on the meat and brewing my own ice tea is helping.

I'm refilling the freezer, so I'm up to about $250 so far this month. I need to go to Sam's this weekend so there will probably be at least another $100 there.

Looks like about $400 on groceries. I did spend $330 for meat for the freezer, but that should last 2 months or longer. This month I spent a lot on landscaping plants and materials instead.

We spent $220 at Costco when we got back. I still need to go to the grocery store, but it shouldn't be much more than $60 or so. We should be good for a couple weeks.

May month-end: Food/beverages: $427.82 HBAs/paper products: $174.94 Without the $100 or so spent for the Amazon HBA and TP order, May would have been about $30 more than April for both categories.
Things are pretty much fully stocked, so theoretically this month should be leaner, not including DH's BD party.

It's $100 right now, I did great on groceries I bought the other day.
But we will be traveling and grandson home with us will likely increase for this month.

We're eating down the meat supply in the freezers in preparation for hunting season that begins in September.
$45 so far this month. We really don't need much of anything else, the pantry is well stocked. I'll be making a batch of bread in the next day or so and I have the makings for cookies and muffins to satisfy our sweet tooth.

Started out the month with a bang and went downhill from there. Frugal plus: We used up the remainder of our home canned goodies. Not so frugal was the pantry had a few holes in it after shopping and eating our way through what was on the shelves during the first half of the month. Stocked up on mostly sale items so I guess the money spent this month wasn't a total bust.
Slowly but successfully emptying the freezer shelves of meat. Fingers crossed DH has good luck this hunting season.

Total for June: Food/water $224.35 (this does not include DH's party food/beverages)
HBA total $13.46 I credit this to stocking up via Amazon last month. Coupon/sale savings $17.78

It's probably easier to do yearly totals at this point. Jan. - $171 Apr. - $280 Jul. - $346 Feb. - $181 May. - $332 Mar. - $163 Jun. - $228 *I had hip replacement surgery in Jan. so I didn't do a lot of shopping. A lot of this was eating out of the freezer. Of course then I had to restock so there goes the budget. I think I'm well stocked again.

So far this month I've spent $129. My budget total per month is $250 so I imagine I'll be able to stay under that.

So far I've spent $178 this month. Last week I was visiting friends so didn't buy groceries, and have enough to eat for the next several days. I want to keep it under $300 but I have company next week and am preparing dinner for a church group so we will see how it goes.

We spent a fair amount on tomatoes, corn and assorted add-on veggies this month to make/can stewed tomatoes and corn relish. The corn relish is enjoyed by several family members so we always make plenty. We're still under budget for groceries this month but only just under...

I track our spending. I budget $600/mo for the two of us. That does not include household products, dog food or liquor. Last month I was under: this month we’ll run over. I do budget more in Nov & Dec

Wrapping up before the long weekend. This month for two adults: Food $519.33 HBA $57.52 The food cost includes $195 for the half pig we are buying from a neighbor. Without that, I would have gotten close to my $300 monthly goal.

So far we are $915 this month for 3 adults, not sure if I will make a small trip today but I likely will. Bought the beyond meat burgers and brats, veggie hot dogs but no buns to go with them. Different stores for the ones I prefer.
Might push it to tomorrow just to keep this months food budget from getting any higher!! But - means I would have a burger tonight with no bun....
This amount includes all pet food, paper products, cleaning, etc.

It really distorts what you spend on "groceries." What do you spend on food? Including the dog is fine. He/she is family and has to eat, too.

Since I am gluten-free, I usually don't eat bread as the gf bread is pretty pricey, I don't keep any on hand as a regular item and only buy occasionally and usually on sale. I did have a coupon this time . I agree that breaking out paper/cleaning/hygiene stuff would be helpful, but it's just too time consuming for me at the moment. And by moment, I'm talking about the next couple of years..... Spent $50 yesterday, so total is $965 for august. I had a lot of coupons expiring on the 3rd, so thought I would stock up a little bit as now I likely won't be shopping any time soon. Well - maybe for tofu and lentils, but that is all I can think we need in the next week or two.
