My zumba class starts back today. I'm kinda scared. I'm going to probably be half assing it for a couple of weeks until I get used to it again. The doctor told me not to overdo it or I will be sorry. I believe him, so I'm hoping it's not to bad and I don't forget to alter moves as needed.

Weekly check in. While I hit my step and calorie burn goal I did not do well on weight side. I did not watch what I ate and had too many adult beverages.
I am lowering my step and calorie burn goal this week. The goals this week are 77000 steps and 14000 calories. Try to curb stress eating. Work is going to implode for the next 6 weeks. Happens every fall. I am also going to try to get to bed no later than 11:00 PM preferably by 10:30. Limit adult beverages
1/1/19 177.2 2/1/19 175.2 3/1/19 170.8 4/1/19 167.4 5/1/19 161.8 6/1/19 159 7/1/19 158.8 8/1/19 156.6 8/5/19 156.8 8/12/19 157.6 8/19/19 160.2
Have a good week.

I missed my step goal last week. I came pretty close though. Going to try and increase water intake as well.

I'm lowering my expectations re fitness for the next week or so. I'm leaving Thursday of this week for a 10 day "forced family fun" vacation. I say that a little tongue in cheek, as I'm sure most of it will be fun, but 10 days of my family is a lot. LOL. There will be lots of time spent in the car and eating out and so I'm hoping if I start out with lowered expectations re fitness and healthy eating, I'll be happier overall.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Weekly check in.
Just hit both the step and calorie burn. Keeping the goals the same for this week. Not as well as I would have liked on the adult beverages however an improvement over the previous week. Did okay on not stress eating.
Have a good week everyone.

Surprisingly my arms don't hurt even thoughI pushed harder yesterday. I'm going hard again today. I'm trying to get back to where I was before my surgery, so I'm pushing a little harder. Once I'm back there I'm going all in and going to try to target some areas and try to build lean muscle. Hopefully my old arse can keep up.

I'm doing good this week so far. We took a long walk last night. I doing online training at home this week so I'm walking the neighborhood to get my steps in.

I joined a step challenge at work. It started last Monday. I've increased the number of steps I'm taking, but our leader must walk all day at work because he's at almost 380K as of right now. I'm at 63K.
Sigh... so much for getting one of the big prizes. 1st gets a $100 gift card, 2nd $50 and then there are 2 random people picked for an amount I can't recall.

I've been highly focused on my (and my daughter's) mental health recently vs. fitness. (For additional information, see my many posts over last six months in parents' thread re: our shiny new ADHD diagnoses.)
So all spare focus has been devoted to setting up rounds of therapy, social skills groups, parenting groups, etc. etc. However, now that things are a bit more settled, I need to start including physical fitness back into my life, especially because it helps manage my ADHD symptoms and makes me a more focused human being.

I need to get to bed earlier myself. School is back in session which means I need to get up and out of the house earlier. I've been slacking during the summer break.
Hit the step goal last week. I want to try to add some gym days back this week. We've been stupid busy this summer. We have been taking some walks while the weather is still good.

my appetite has been in the tank lately, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. but, I've been taking that opportunity to eat whatever the hell I want, since I know in not eating a lot of it. I need to change that. so I am setting a goal that vegetables will be at least half my plate for the next few weeks, and not all fried (which isnt a big thing for me anyway, but I need to say it out loud) starting off on the right foot today - the grocery store had rotisserie turkey breast when I stopped for a few things. so I grabbed one and roasted a bunch of Thanksgiving veggies to go with a couple slices. I dont eat right away when I get up, so this is breakfast. as far as moving around more, I'm probably going to have more time this fall as i am better able to plan train time to compactly days now. will have to figure out what's going to work for me. sorry for the huge pic in a thread that probably doesn't see too many. but this plate is tasty. I may go back for more veggies.

Wow that plate looks great and probably would fit into my low salt, <2000 mg/day, diet. I just bought brussel sprouts on sale yesterday. We haven't had them in forever. We both like sweet and regular potatoes baked like that.

I can't be sure, but I would bet it fits. the only salt in there is whatever was on the turkey that I didnt cook myself. potatoes and Brussels were tossed with garlic and Penzeys mignonette pepper blend. butternut was tossed with black pepper and a touch of nutmeg. EVOO for all.

I really need to be out of bed by 5:15 to get yoga done in the morning and by 5:30am to actually get to work by 7:00am without yoga. (I have a three-minute commute.) I'm so not a morning person.

chiver78, is that butternut squash? Love me some butternut squash. DD made a sauce out some the other day. I have the remainder of the squash to roast today.

I did well on food three of the seven days this past week. The other days not so much. Weight is stable but not reducing. I've paid $10 into a group at work (which is a new work site for me) to be in the group that has a two-month goal of losing 4% of one's weight.

I took the pups for a walk on the canal earlier. not sure exactly how far, somewhere between 2-3 miles based on the markers I actually noticed on the path. step count was about the same as what I do just getting to work, which I found interesting.

My husband is a distance runner and has maybe run 100 miles in a week once or twice, if ever. Me thinks this leader puts his Fitbit on the family pet. :-)
