Have someone run and grab you those frozen fruit bars. It's still sweet and still cold, but at least there's fruit in it so it has at least some nutritional value. Plus they're yummy. Now I'm off to get a frozen fruit bar out of the freezer since it sounds good.

Those of you in the step challenge. I sent out invitations to those of you who are my friends on stridekick. I do not think I am friends with all you on stridekick. Please PM and I will send you my email address if you wish to be invited to the challenge so we can become friends on stridekick.

I’ve lost weight since last time I posted. Don’t know quite how much because I don’t remember where I was last. Probably down 10 or so pounds?
But that said, my new goal is 159. I’m at 162ish right now. At 159, I officially enter the “normal” BMI range, which has t been true in... at least a decade.
Having fun shopping for new clothes for spring/summer in a size down. Though most of my spring/summer dresses are forgiving enough to stil wear at this weight. A few I had kept in size 14 was still ok in at a 12, but now am approaching a 10 in most brands and am officially out of those.

I had lapsed in the step challenges because my step counter was out of commission, but I'm supposed to get a new one tomorrow. I'll PM you if I can remember how to set it all up and get the app on my new phone

I gained 2.5 pounds this week. I haven't lost any since I started. I have only gained. It doesn't help that I don't have much time to work out and I will be the first to admit I eat crap food. I'm going to try harder so I don't get to 160. I don't want to get to 160.

Molto malo! I haven't checked in since February sometime.
Not much has budged in the way of weight - I am at 142 lb., down from my last official doctor's office reading of 154. And, A1C went down from a prediabetic 6.2 to a normal 5.6. My doctor talked of decreasing some of my medications if I can keep up the progress.
The first thing to do is ca$h in on all this health. I have a work-sponsored biometric screening on Thursday which will plop $450 into my HSA if I (and I will) achieve certain values for BP, A1C, BMI and blood lipids.
Weekly goal this year is to exercise >180 minutes/week, and 75 of which should be "vigorous". So far, so good. The other thing is to get back to calorie-counting. Goal is to get down to about 134 in three months.

Back in the gym this week and I didn't die! Levaquin was not nice to me and then the gym on vacation was not nice. But we are back to it.

No exercise for me as I just had another surgery to follow up with the blood clot issue from February. My goal for Mon - Fri of this week is 45,000 steps and to maintain neutral calories based on what the FitBit says I've burned and what the myfitnesspal app says I've consumed.

So I've been still doing the 50 pushups a day on gym days. My abs are kinda wondering what's going on. You don't really realize what muscles you're working when you do them.

I am so tired from not sleeping well and going back to work from vacation. I'm trying to get back my habits of taking care of myself, but finding motivation is hard.
I worked 12 hours yesterday, and hope to cut out of work early the rest of the week to compensate. Setting up a work meeting to get help with the issues that keep coming up that cause me to work so many hours in one day regularly. I don't want to keep doing that. We had a guy at work leave in an ambulance from what appears to be stress. I don't want to be headed in the same direction.

Hi everyone! ners, you're so awesome for consistently checking in here!
For the week of May 20, I hit ~42,000 which was ~3,000 steps short of my goal. For the week of May 27, I hit 93,221 which was way more than I should have done. For this week, June 3 - June 9, my goal is 60,000 steps.
My weight is currently 152.4 pounds, which is officially no change from the beginning of the year. However, since January, I've gone up to 157 pounds.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe Considering everything you have been through this year you are doing well. I have to laugh at the consistently checking in since I am fairly certain I will not be checking on June 17th. I will be out of town for a few days. bobosensei Sounds like you have a plan. Remember taking care of yourself is the number one priority. I know that is easier said then done.

Sorry I've been away from this thread. (Ners you're doing awesome!) I feel like my weight is getting out of control. It's like gas prices: jumps up quickly, and creeps down way to slowly. I have a wedding to attend the end of this month, and I don't know how to dress my body in it's current condition. It was right on the margin where I could, so add a few pounds and I'm lost. Add in the fact I'm upper 40's now, and dressing up has become a real challenge. Upper arms aren't where I like them, midriff is no longer flat, and I'm not supposed to wear anything too short at my age. (Plus, I don't particularly want to.)
Anyway, back to calorie tracking for me. Trying the Loseit app this time around. I have a really generic step tracker from Amazon. I actually like it better than the base model Garmin I had, but it doesn't connect to any of the apps like the Garmin did.

Lizard Queen Thanks for the compliment. It has been a struggle. I have a health scare that has been my motivation. I cut back on carbs and increased exercise. Need to get moving today.

I'm back from my business trip, today is day 1 of the new normal of taking the train in to work. that means a lot more steps than normal. I'm wearing a pair of flipflops now, have ballet flats in my backpack. I plan to leave them at my desk for a regular option that won't take up space every day.
looking forward to this change 😊

I wear my flip flops in to work until it's really cold and I switch to boots. We used to go through a metal detector every day. Now it's randomly selected for employees. Some heels have metal spikes in the heels that set off the detector and nobody has time for that. Plus our parking lot is huge.
I need to get to the gym tonight or tomorrow. I need to try using my inhaler pre work out before my doctor's appointment Wednesday.

I have a feeling I'll be wearing either flipflops or boat shoes if it's raining. hell, those are memory foam so I may just wear them anyway. they are cute. I have them in both gray and navy blue. link
