Gym day #1 was cut short by a cranky DH. Everything he wanted to do was occupied and he wouldn't wait. So I didn't make it to the elliptical.
I'll try again Wednesday.

Gym day #2 went much better. Well I completed everything anyway. I had this dumb idea to push it on the elliptical the whole time instead of the last few minutes.
We are away for the weekend. I'm hoping to at least use the treadmill and elliptical at our hotel. We'll see what happens.

I have slacked off on the treadmill due to being away spring break and then fighting a cold. I am back on it today after a 10 day break. I have continued to do my upper body weights throughout this time. I am actually looking forward to getting back on the treadmill - I feel so much better exercising.

My legs are sore today which is unusual. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I'm just getting old.

For any low-carbers out there - I bought these at Costco. Apparently, Walmart sells them too. I'll try them today and report back. egg wraps

I had my best step week in quite some time. Adding that third gym day is elusive. I am bumping up my run time tonight.
I should be able to get day 3 this week. I continue to chip away at re-establishing better habits.

To whoever suggested the Nutrogena oil (because I'm too lazy to go back and look), thank you!!! I love it and my skin does too. It's kind of fabulous not to be itchy all the time.
I do however need a face moisturizer as I don't think I should put oil on my face since I have combination skin. I have Olay moisturizer, but it's not cutting it. I think I'm going to try Neutrogena's Hydro Boost since I had such good luck with the oil. Anyone tried this? What did you think?

I'm trying to get all my steps in before Friday this week. I leave for vacation Friday, and I don't want to do anything but sit on the beach and drink fruity adult beverages.

I haven't tried the Hydro Boost yet but I'm almost out of my Belif Aqua Bomb (most favorite moisturizer ever!) so I'm tempted to try it. Don't want to waste money, though; I did not like the Garnier Moisture Bomb, so I'll probably just keep spending the money on my tried and true.

Definitely not getting 3 days in this week. 14 days of Levaquin later, it seems I have quadriceps tendonitis in my left leg. I've got a few other ouchy places. I've been very good about slowly adding at the gym so I didn't overdo it. Dang antibiotic side effects.
I'm getting a massage tonight. I found a few other things to try.

I was going to go with the hydro boost because it has hyaluronic acid and I'm starting to see lines on my face.

I was going to go with the hydro boost because it has hyaluronic acid and I'm starting to see lines on my face. I was at Target earlier and saw that there was a trial size of the Hydro Boost so I decided to get it and make myself a Guinea pig for you. It smells much less perfumey than the Garnier Moisture bomb, but still more so than the Belif Aqua Bomb. Since I worked from home today I only have on my Olay serum and the last of this Coola moisturizer sample I had gotten in an ipsy bag, so I just put a little of the hydro boost on my cheeks. It feels really smooth. I will use it tomorrow to get a full feel for it. If I don't break out by Monday then it's good. PSA: the three moisturizers above are all gel moisturizers so that's why I reference them. Belif seriously is the best but if Neutragena can save a couple bucks I'm gonna try it. Also, just go to Sephora and buy Belif products. Seriously the best.

I was going to go with the hydro boost because it has hyaluronic acid and I'm starting to see lines on my face. My dermatologist suggested that to me. My skin and the hyaluronic acid did not agree. After that, I decided that it was cheaper to do trial and error with a bunch of different products without paying the copay for a specialist.

I bought the hydro boost. I also got the cleanser. I really hope it works. My skin is a hot mess. Oily in the t zone and flaky on the rest.

Random check-in since I'm not being particularly consistent about anything in my life right now. I'm doing pretty well on water intake. My daily steps are increasing from the reduction of my back hurting. Back doesn't hurt as much--it's mostly just uncomfortable sometimes. That's a lot better than uncomfortable all of the time and painful at some point almost every day.
I'm still not losing weight. Still eating too much, but trying to be cognizant of my choices. Today I didn't have McDonald's even though I stopped there with DD and a group of high schoolers. I did have biscotti later in the day; that's pretty good decision making for me.

I love the hydro boost. Finally my face isn't flaky! I'd moisturize with other stuff and my face would start to flake before I finish my makeup. I haven't seen a flake since I first applied it.

I’m on my way home from vacation. I ate way too much food that was NOT good for me. I cannot wait to get home and have a little more control over my diet. I am little sad to be leaving the beach tho.

I've been doing a lot of traveling with high school extra-curriculars that I supervise. I have absolutely no routine at the moment. I've been doing well on my water intake. My calorie intake is better but not consistent in the way it should be. I have been getting more cardio and steps in. Still nothing allowed on the core or strength training front due to my shoulder challenges. I have another surgery scheduled for May.
How is everyone?

I got off track. My new job at work is much more demanding than the old one. I allowed myself to make excuses and feel sorry for myself.
I am off Monday to help give myself a break. Need to get back in the habit of meal prep for myself. I am the worst at making meal decisions for an entire week at a time. Comes from the days I got off work at 4pm and had time to go to the store if I wanted and make whatever I was in the mood for.

Have a great week everyone.

I am down 4.5 lbs, but some of my pants definitely fit more loose. I guess those hills I'm doing when I walk are tightening up my legs?? Who knows, but I like how I feel and I like how my clothes are fitting. I'm ready to go shopping to get a smaller size.

Another drive by posting....I am down 14 lbs for the year. Not as much as I'd hoped but I'll take it. I've been keeping up with the exercise for the most part. Just keep plugging along.

I’m spending the day fighting off a cold and trying not to drown my sorrows about said cold in carbs. And if it’s not carbs I’m eating, I’m also trying to stay away from ice cream. It feels sooo good on my sore throat. So this weekend isn’t healthy in any respect.
