Come visit and feel young again. I like that shit... I actually have some hand soap from Jergens that smells like that. I found it at Dollar Tree. I do have Jergens lotion that doesn't have the scent. I thought I finally had a god excuse to lure someone over to this side of the country

So, I'll see you next spring maybe.

This is a picture of me and my current eating behavior. I'm now up two pounds from where I was at the beginning of the year.
I feel this way today. I am 207 over my calorie intake. This is my light day for steps and I am fighting a cold as well and really do not fell like exercising or going to the meeting I need to attend tonight.

Weighed myself today. 155.5 (started at 158.5). I was pleasantly surprised. I started counting calories in the last week. It has gone pretty well, not as time consuming as I thought it would be because I eat a lot of the same foods. Now we are heading into spring break and I won't be in my routine, so this could get interesting. Heading out of town for a few days so I will be eating out, but we should be walking quite a bit. Keep plugging along everyone!

hugs, ners. hope you're feeling better today. I've been hovering between 205-207 lately, but have been getting physically smaller with all the extra walking I've been doing. today, I had a bunch of returns to make, and while I was at Old Navy, I decided to look around as most of the store was on sale. I tried on and bought a pair of "curvy" boot cut jeans, a size smaller than all of what's in my dresser. I tried on the pair I blind bought online, and it's not quite there yet - but it's "original" not "curvy" so there's that. I may swap them out, idk. all I know is, the current inventory will be on its way out soon.

Thanks chiver78. It is not getting any worse but the congestion is not gone. I am sure the fact the weather has not helped. 30 one day 50 the next back to 30.

Don't know if this is the place for this or not. My skin is so dry. Does anyone have a good body oil or lotion? Preferably something that smells like citrus. Not citrus but I love Neutrogena's light sesame oil formula body oil. I put it on whenever I remember after showering. Burt's Bees has a lemon body oil. Ooh, I have this C. Booth orange ginger body scrub I got at Ulta a while back. I bet this would be nice. www.ulta.com/4-in-1-lemon-sugar-body-lotion?productId=xlsImpprod4360147I got the Neutrogena oil today. I'll report back tomorrow.

I love Neutrogena sesame oil! I should buy some more. No, it doesn't smell like sesame.

It took most of the week but we got gym days 2 and 3 in on Friday and Saturday. I managed 10 minutes on the elliptical both days in addition to the weight stuff and running intervals. The elliptical is murder for me. I can do running intervals a hundred times easier. I'm trying to stick with it because it is so hard.
We managed the third day this week so that's an improvement. Right now 3 is about what we can fit in. If the weather keeps improving, we will do some long walks on non gym days.

I started doing Sparkpeople again to track my calories. I pick too much at work. Still doing my walking, etc, and maintaining, but I'd like to lose a couple pounds.

I aim for five active days but will accept three in a week. I like the elliptical. When I was in my big weight loss mode in 2012 I did a good portion of my workouts/weight loss on the elliptical machine. Total aside, but I just realized I began my big weight loss "journey" (I hate calling it that but it really was/is) seven years ago. I started at 181 pounds, got down to my lowest of 143 in 2013 (wedding year), and have been a consistent 153 for the past three years or so. I've managed to keep off 28 of the 38 I lost and know I won't creep back up, but man, the fear is still real!

Weekly check in
Hit step goal by 5000. No strength training. Eating okay.
This week step goal 82000. Strength training 30 minutes. Log food. This is my busy (aka stress week) at work. Keeping eating in check will be important.
1/1/19 177.2 2/1/19 175.2 3/1/19 170.8 3/25/19 167.2
Keep up the good work everyone.

I over-did something in the last few days. Whether it was doing a core routine (and not focusing on my actual core enough), or the new leg routine, or running yesterday, or some combination of all of it, I have no idea. But my thighs are KILLING me today. I've never been so glad for a rest day in my life. I'll try to walk after work just to keep moving, but it's going to be a struggle.

Don't overdo it, but yes, do keep it moving. Maybe soak in the tub or something.

I wasn't the greatest this weekend, either. today, I'm standing at a tall table with my laptop, my left hip is super tight again. I'm not sure what this week holds for me just yet, my boss will be in the office Tues-Th. I may get stuck here later than normal, if he wants to have a group meeting later in the day or whatever. not looking forward to what that will do to my drive home. I'm stopping on my way home today to pick up more Balega socks for my sneakers. I've been wearing out the two pair I already have. if I'm going to be doing longer walks with the pups, I'm going to need more than two. hoping the weather holds up for a walk tonight.

Cookies Galore. I tried the oil today. I like it so far. I also told Thing 1 about it as it smells pretty good. Me: I got this new body oil and I hope it doesn't make me smell like hamburger buns or I'll be walking around hangry. T1: You have issues. (A few minutes later) T1: Alexis (T1's friend) said she doesn't like you at all. Me: What'd I do? T1: I told her about your stupid hamburger buns comment. Me: 😁

I’m trying to figure out something with more protein to have for lunch. The salads aren’t keeping me full, even with hard boiled eggs, tuna, shrimp. I’m dragging in the afternoon and stuffing myself with candy, cookies, etc late afternoon and before dinner. Why does fast food keep me full for the whole afternoon and healthy food does not?

You can try adding things like lentils, barley, chickpeas or buckwheat. That should keep you feeling full longer.

I'm going to try and work in some planks and stretching on non gym days. I'll try with my current yoga mat but I might need something thicker. We've got hardwood and tile everywhere except the two guest bedrooms.
I've noticed when we are going to the gun every other day, after the second gym day my legs are majorly spastic at night when I'm trying to sleep. Hoping some stretches and foam rolling will settle them.

wvugurl26 I need to get a new, thicker yoga mat. I have hardwood floors so I use two mats. They're getting old and beat up. Also, I'm gonna sound like a broken record but barre is a great, non-gym day workout! Google a workout! There's all sorts of barre, but I like barre3. I feel like some barre classes have a lot of bad movements. At least bad for me.

I will have to look. I can play you tube on my TV through the Samsung smart hub so I'll check it out. It would be something while the weather sucks! I did look at a studio a few months ago but their class times aren't friendly for people who work normal business hours.

Have you tried protein shakes? They will help keep you fuller longer and they'll give you something sweet in the afternoon. Read the label though as some of them are full of sugar. I buy powdered whey protein and make my own.

I rolled my ankle this morning, I landed strangely and didn't readjust before putting all my weight on it. didn't think it was anything to worry about at the time, until I just stood up. oops. this could be interesting. I'm in heels today, and it's my left/clutch foot. guess tomorrow is sneakers for sure.

I looked back in my weight log and four years ago I weighed 134 lbs. I was going to the gym every day and took up running. Then my parents started having medical problems and it overtook my life. I haven't hardly exercised in the last 4 years...just randomly here and there. I am eating crap food because I am too tired to make anything healthy. And now 4 years later I weigh 155.5 lbs. I am upset at myself because I didn't somehow try to keep up with my exercise. But I just couldn't find any time to do it. The time I was spending exercising was and is being taken up by my parents health problems.
I want to be available to help them but I also want to lose the weight so after my dad's doctor appointment tomorrow, if they don't put him back in the hospital, I am going to go pay for a month at the gym and see if I can get back in the groove.
