teen persuasion, does Medicaid pay the room and board portion at an ALF? I was under the impression that it would only cover room and board at a skilled nursing facility. As far as disposing of his assets, I go to estate sales a fair bit and prices are generally pretty low. If you are concerned about family members taking certain items, I think you could probably get past that by having people pay a small amount for whatever they take. Who's to say that used everyday household items should be worth more than they paid?
