Trump said yesterday in an interview that the NG is going to be building the wall while they are at the border. WTF? I think that's the actual reason he is sending them - for the photo op and so he can use part of the bloated military budget to build his stupid fence. I like to look at this situation as if tomorrow there was some sort of illegal imigrant rapture and all the people in the US are then legal citizens. We ALREADY have farmers rotting their crops in the fields because they can't get enough labor to pick them. Are legal American citizens going to volunteer to go work for shit wages? Are American women going to volunteer to get raped and abused at work in the fields? I hardly think so. In reality, I think we are creating a future shortage of food, and prices of everything will soar while Trump ensures our dollar is crashing around the world as we become Nationalists.... Control the food, control the populace. It's a proven way to do it... www.agweb.com/article/farmers-brace-for-labor-shortage-under-new-immigration-policy-associated-press/www.nytimes.com/2016/01/19/opinion/how-to-protect-female-farmworkers.html

We're gonna need a wall. (Between Canada and the USA.) Too late. The Biebs already made it across. Although perhaps we could deport him and send him back to the frozen tundra.

Biebs was fine when we sent him to you. Bullshit. He was no-talent cute from day-one. Significantly worse now that what passes for his brain has thawed, but he was never 'fine'.

Poor little Biebs is falling into irrelevance, I fear. He's been outstripped on both the music and the looks end of the business. Sheeran's got him on music and Zayn's got him on looks. The only things he seems to really shine in involve blatant stupidity.

Immigration and border security are important to about 70% of Americans. Both parties have been paying lip service to it for decades while conniving to do the exact opposite of what the people wanted: an end to the invasion of illegal immigrants from shithole countries and an orderly and efficient means for people of goodwill to come here legally, and a crackdown on drugs, gangs, human trafficking, and crime associated with illegal immigration.
Trump says we need a wall.
The establishment in both parties freak out and refuse.
Then, as if Trump got up one day and managed to orchestrate it himself- the opposition, including what can only be described as hostile foreign governments, got together and sent (as described on CNN-- NOT making this up) "an army of brown people" to assault the border.
Politically, this is a gimme. Trump had to take it. Is it practical, workable, or will it even happen? Probably not. But it doesn't matter-- the threat of militarizing the border was made for one purpose: fund and build that fucking wall.
We were always going to get the wall- border security and immigration reform.
But now we're going to get it fast and easy. Thanks, idiots.

I'm personally waiting for CA to tell him to pound it. I don't think Brown is going to agree to let the NG on our border in CA. That would be an interesting turn of events...

Well dt is already on Oakland's mayor all the time. He also made it clear he doesn't like Brown, or California in general, so whatever...
And yes, I am proud that my state handed his ass to him in the election (this may be petty, but I don't care)

It will be interesting to see how this "militarizing the border" looks in detail a month from now. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/wink.png) Probably the same as it looks now: A desperate attempt to distract from all of his other disasters. I was thinking more along the lines of operations: For example, this is the "militarized" border from 2006: National Guard members working in Del Rio Sector rescued a Central American woman who was drowning in the Rio Grande River on August 1. Two Texas guard members working in an entry identification capacity nearby responded to the call for assistance. Disregarding their own safety, the guardsmen jumped into the water to save the drowning woman, pulling her from the depths of the muddy Rio Grande River.
National Guard members assigned to operate a remote video surveillance system worked with Border Patrol agents to seize more than 287 pounds of cocaine Aug. 9. A guard member operating the cameras was able to identify two individuals transporting four large military-style duffle bags across the Rio Grande in a boat and shortly after, a sport utility vehicle entered the area where the boat made landfall. Border Patrol agents responded and located the vehicle and seized four duffle bags of cocaine weighing over 287 pounds, valued at $9.2 million.
National Guard members assisting in the Yuma, Ariz. sector alerted Border Patrol agents that there were two individuals on a trail along the Colorado River. Once apprehended, the pair revealed that there were three others in the vicinity that were suffering from heat exhaustion. An air search located the three, finding two to be severely dehydrated. One was airlifted to the hospital and another transported by ambulance. All survived and were charged with immigration violations. link So a little Bay Watch action, a little camera work, and some search and rescue. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/thumbsup.png) But the POTUS can have them do anything.

If it does- it will be more like what George W. Bush and Obama both ordered done. It's a negotiating tool. Yes, paying attention is helpful. Thought this link provided some good background information on the requirement that state governors be on board. Also: The governors of the border states of New Mexico, Texas and Arizona -- all Republicans -- expressed their support. But the office of the California governor, a Democrat, did not indicate to CNN whether the governor would back deploying Guard troops. ... CNN reported Wednesday that key aspects of the plan had not yet been finalized, including how many troops would be sent and the cost of the deployment. Trump said Thursday that he hopes to send "anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000" troops to the border. link That whole cost thingee is going to be interesting. I am just wondering who exactly this creates pressure on and thus puts them in a position that they need to negotiate.

If federalized then US Government pays....salaries...lodgings..food...medical...transportation....auxiliary costs...that we are running trillion doller deficets just more added to that...borrow the money ..bonds....Wonder if the Chinese are going to purchase them and if so, what interest will they demand....More costs to be added too....along with his parade, his monthly visits to Florida... Anyone know who pays for his political rallies...those self congratulating doings where he tells his supporters how great everything is and how bad the Democrats, Obama, Hillery, Amazon and their owner are and how wonderful he is....?

Speaking of immigration......
is Trump lying or just plain ignorant?
This is what he just said in North Virginia
No, you're not the only one. Canada has birthright citizenship. So does Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and others. I wish he wouldn't lie so much.

You are all reading him wrong. He is absolutely correct. Mexico DOES have tough policies. If you have a baby in the U.S. they are NOT automatically a Mexican citizen. Nor is a baby born in Mexico automatically an American citizen. Tough policies, just like he said.

Trump’s psychiatric care. Speaking to reporters, the Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto, said that he had authorized funding for the psychiatry and proclaimed, “Work on Donald Trump could begin tomorrow.” Peña Nieto displayed several photographs showing prototypes of therapists, including a bearded Freudian analyst who he said came highly recommended. It's a negotiating tool. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/smile.gif) You were right, President Trump is doing the same thing the past two presidents have done. The US state of Texas is deploying National Guard members to the border with Mexico following a call from President Donald Trump.
A Guard spokesman said 250 personnel would be sent to patrol the area within the next 72 hours.
Arizona is also planning to deploy 150 troops there next week. link Someone somewhere has to be shaking in their boots imploring the President to please let them pay to build a wall to end this madness. I am just not sure who and where.

I am just not sure who and where. Texas has a 1000 mile border with Mexico. that is 1 patrolman every 4 miles. unless they are driving back and forth in that 4 miles 24/7, this amount of personnel is insufficient. they need 90000 people in stationary positions to guard the border.
