Hit my step goal by 1200. No strength training.
This weeks goal will be 70000. I have meetings 2 nights after work and I know I will be working late at least 1 day so I will am afraid to increase the goal.
I hope to do 1 day of strength training. I am just being lazy.
Have a great week and keep up the good work.

Grrr. I averaged 1254 calories per day and I'm up .9 pounds. That is when tracking drives me nuts, but I know that can turn around and it's fairly typical even when I'm losing to maintain for 3 weeks, then see the loss in the 4th. But it's frustrating. I was low on protein and fiber this week, but also kept my carbs, sugars, and total fat in line.
Only got in 240 minutes of exercise. Would love to get back up to 300 minutes this week, but I'm also really behind in my current class and have to turn that around asap. My mom is having knee surgery this week too so I'll make sure to spend more time with her and hopefully helping my folks with anything they'll let me so realistically 240 is the most I'll get in this week too. I just took a week off of work...kind of, but I really need another one to get my life in order.

Weekly update Hit step goal by 300 steps. No strength training.
I am going to keep the step goal the same. I know I need to decrease calorie intake and build muscles. So my hope this week will be at least one attempt at strength training. Work should be slowing down so hopefully the stress eating will be curbed.
Hugs to those who are struggling. Have a great week everyone.

Weight is up, and needs to come back down. I was getting tired of my old exercise routine, so not doing it very often. Chaperoned a field trip to the local state park today. There was a lot of stairs, and I could tell how much worse my conditioning is now. I think I'll keep going back on my own after I drop the kids off from school, as long as the weather is good. It's just a mile or 2 away from the school.

September was not a good exercise month. It started out good, then my DH hurt his back, required an ER trip and a lot of help at home last month. So my exercise routine was slightly curtailed. Overall, I'm still feeling better and my eating is back on track, but my step total was way low.
I'm resolving to just not think about September and do better in October. It's day 2, let's home my resolve lasts all month!

Solved the mystery of my step tracker. Today was walk to school day, so I was keeping an eye on my steps. I flipped through the screens to see mileage, half the numbers went blank and it took my step count down by 1200. I thought some of my step counts were impossibly low. Grrr.

I was up another 1.3 pounds this week, so over 2 total. There isn't much of a question as to why. I cannot be trusted to have cereal, pizza rolls, and tortilla chips in the house in the same week. Add in lots of easy pasta meals because life is crazy and it just wasn't a great week. I didn't get to class at all last week either, and haven't gone this week either. My parents are always willing to watch the kids for an hour or 2 and that makes it so much easier to get in an early or late class. Not having that makes it so much harder. I'm planning on 1 hour Thursday, and hopefully 3 hours Saturday, if dh can bring ds to the dojo for the 1130.

I’m pathetic with my eating. My exercise is limited due to my back still.
Cheers to everyone!

My eating has been terrible. I had a really good exercise week, but I'm not sure that makes up for my Monday pizza, Tuesday tacos, Thursday Chipotle dinners. I hope your back feels better soon, Knee Deep in Water Chloe!

Didn't do any food tracking. Hit 300 minutes of exercise. Down 1.1 pounds which is nice, but still up 2 pounds from 3 weeks ago.

I tried food tracking and I failed. I just don't want to do it. I just need to use more common sense when it comes to food. I made 3 food lists. One of protein rich foods, one of fiber rich foods, and one of zero calorie foods. Well, just the ones I liked from the lists I Googled. I'm going to make sure that my meals contain at least 1 of 2 of the lists going forward and see if that helps. I think I'll weigh tonight and then again at the end of November and see if it works. I'll be sure to update here.

Once my gut is 100% again, I'll add another meal to my daily menu, but keep it simple & small like the the other two. I'm weigh myself again this coming week.
Since January 2018, I cut out 99% sugar, no between meal snacking, no soda, no chips, no chocolate.
I had a sugary drink last night and I just about died, it's was sugar overkill.

It's amazing how something that you had no problem with before suddenly is awful once you cut it out of your diet.

Weighed this morning because I haven't in a long time. 177 as of today. I've gained almost 20 pounds since this time last year. I'm gaining muscle mass too, so it's not all bad. Last year I was just thin, now I'm getting muscular.

I did go through a little spell of eating and drinking like crap when Thing 2 moved out because I refused to cook. I did grow a little around the waist, but I've gotten back on track as far as eating goes. I'm almost back to how I was before. This is why I had no idea what I weighed. I measure by how my clothes fit and rarely weigh myself.

I had a good exercise weekend. I leave tomorrow for a 2 week business trip though. So, let’s just say, neither food nor exercise will be amazing for the next 14 days.

Weekly check in
Still not doing well with eating. No strength training. Hit step goal by 1300.
Keeping step goal the same. I will be at an all day conference on Friday so eating will not be good and steps during the day maybe difficult.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Averaged 1425 calories a day, 330 minutes of exercise and I'm down another .9. If this keeps up I'll be back to the same weight I was at the same time last month. If I average my averages over the last month I'm eating 1500 calories a day. Which kind of sucks for maintenance but I guess it is what it is. My doctors office does a metabolism test to check what you're body is actually burning a day and I'm really thinking about doing it. Need to call and see how much it is.

I guess i'm surprised that you're not losing weight faster with that amount of calories and exercise. I'd be interested in the metabolism thing or if your calorie counts are off - but knowing how you have to deal with C's food I'm sure you know how to track. Bodies are weird.

I'd be interested in the metabolism thing or if your calorie counts are off - but knowing how you have to deal with C's food I'm sure you know how to track. Bodies are weird. That's what I keep thinking. I don't give myself credit for exercise (as far as calories go). I'm using MFP for calorie counts, and I think I'm pretty detailed. I'll plug in the quarter of an apple that I ate when fixing the kids lunches and really detailed out what I had at the buffet, enter my own recipes for stuff I make on a regular basis so I really know what it is. I work at home so there isn't a candy dish that I could be forgetting to log. For C we only track carbs, but I use MFP to get carb counts for stuff we make here a lot of times. I get plateaus but I've been bouncing around this weight for over 6 months, increased exercise, increased weight training, increased small daily exercise, and cut down on sugar a ton.

So I got lost today after I parked my car, trying to find the site of my work event. I’m out of state and my event is on a college campus. I walked 3 MILES trying to find where I was going (which was only 2 blocks from where I parked). The extra steps were nice, but I was a hot sweaty mess when I finally got to where I needed to be. Thank goodness I had plenty of extra time! I made up for it by having an orange/cranberry muffin and full of sugar lemonade. Now that I’m back at my hotel I’m having a margarita. Somehow, I don’t think the amount of sugar I’ve had today was walked off in those 3 miles of being lost. Ugh.
