Gym day #3! I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.

I’m at the airport waiting on my flight. It’s delayed a little. I’m trying to use my time wisely by getting a few extra steps in. It’s not so hard to do when there are no seats left in the gate area. I'm that person too. I just walk around and around and around. My SIL says I'm a weirdo and need to sit still.

I'm starting to get worried....I have been keeping my calories below 2000 for the last 8 days...which is good for me and I haven't even lost 1 pound. I know it takes a while and I am lacking in the exercise department but if I would lose just 1 pound and keep it off I would feel like it is working and motivate me more. Altering one's metabolism takes awhile. Hugs.

Okay...must get back into a routine. Last week, I had a major anxiety attack, and it took me out for a day and then a few days to actually recover. I had to let go of tracking food to not increase the feeling of overwhelm. Monday, I had a migraine.
Anyhoo, yesterday I did yoga, arms, and cardio yesterday. I'm going to track calories for the remainder of the week.
Today will be yoga, abs, and cardio. Going for under 200 carbs.
I would love to do the intermittent fasting plan, but DH loves breakfast.

I'm so tired lately and I don't know why. Dh is the one doing all middle of the night checks on ds, and I don't feel sick. But the sun goes down and I can barely keep my head up. I wake up in the morning well rested, but still feeling exhausted. I almost always overeat when I'm tired, or at least make really awful food choices. So far that has actually been in pretty good check, but only because I'm working from home and I can grill/cook good food for lunch. (And that is one of the best perks of working from home!)
For those who aren't low carb but track calories/carbs/etc...how much are you aiming for on sugars/carbs? I see my doctor next week so I'll ask her (and probably set an appointment with a nutritionist too) but MFP has me at 45 sugars for the day and I've never come in anywhere close to that. I had a breakfast of a peach, 4 strawberries, and fiber one cereal with milk (the original one--with 14 grams of fiber and no sugar in the cereal) and I was at 22 grams of sugar already.
I can't hit the the MFP protein goals hardly ever either.

I actually end up doing that naturally more often than not. When I'm in a good swing of things (and life is just busy at night) I'm not hungry for dinner and can just skip it. Unfortunately dh and I's clocks are completely swapped and he only wants a big breakfast if he's been up all night.

I'm thinking about joining our gym again. If I do I am going to have to work really hard on getting there and stop making excuses why not to go. I thought if I did I would go after work before I went home because once I am home I don't want to go back out.

Obviously I'd have to pick different hours but I'd never get dinner if I stopped by 6! Leave work 20-30 minutes late or hit traffic and it's easily after 6 when I get home.
I'm exhausted lately. I think I'm just never catching up.
I've been trying to cut back sugars but even with that I come nowhere close to the MFP numbers.
Maybe if I took a day off to just sleep in. My sleep is all wacky bc DH goes to work after me and needs less sleep.

For me, I need to have classes because I hate those stupid machines. I could go to Planet Fitness for $10/month, but I wouldn't go. So I pay almost 5 times that to go to a gym with classes I love. I definitely get my money's worth. Maybe see what else is out there. There's a gym on practically every corner. They're all sweetening the deal to be able to compete. Take advantage.

I am sore from boxing today and I tried to go full force like I usually do today. It didn't work out. I lost steam at zumba and half assed it. My knee has been bothering me lately too. I think I need to look at braces. I've been careful not to overextend the knee, but it still hurts. I may have to adjust my routine so I don't hurt myself. I'm going to talk to my instructor and see what his take is.

I ate so much sugar that I need to repent. It was just wrong. This is being typed from the elliptical since I'm such a bad girl.

Banana bread will be the death of me. I’m so happy while it’s in my mouth. Not ten minutes later do I feel insanely bloated. Plus, I think a age a third of a loaf from yesterday afternoon to dessert.

I went for my first day back at the fitness center. I had to take my parents on errands so I only walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes and I loved it. It felt good to get back to moving and I am hoping it will help me with my chronic fatigue because it feels like it is trying to kill me lately.

I like to use the cardio machines but I need to get to using the weights more. Our fitness center doesn't offer any classes. It has a weight room and a cardio room. It has about 8 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 4 bikes and that's about it.

So much food again today. I don't think I was actually too far off on total calories, but the carbs are going to be high. I'm posting this to force myself to actually put everything into MFP and then post that. Must hold myself accountable.

I was suggesting that you look elsewhere to find a place offers classes or other amenities that would motivate you to go more.

Unfortunately I live in a town of 3500 people and nobody offers any classes. I would have to drive 60 miles to the nearest town. I wish we had more options here.

We have a similar situation with our gym. A new gym opened a few months ago, and they have classes. I'm not courageous enough to join the classes there.

Weekly check in
Not a good week. Completely fell off the wagon. Very low step total over 30000 below goal. No strength training. Poor food choices.
New week. Need to pick my self up and get back on the wagon. Goals this week 1. 70000 steps 2. Get back to tracking food and water intake 3. 3 short sessions of strength training.

Gym day #1! I finally went to Sprouts and got the stuff for my green juice, so I've started back with that in the morning. I'll actually cook tonight so I'll have leftovers for lunches. I'm getting back on the wagon.

The only goal I've met the past few days is my Fitbit's sleep goal. I'm coming down with another stupid sinus infection. I couldn't keep my eyes open on Saturday.

I'm starving lately. I just want to eat.all.the.food!
I'm still working on hitting daily fiber and protein goals (although 70 grams of protein a day just aren't going to happen so I really need to talk to the doc/nutritionist and figure that out). I'm looking at my meals/snacks and trying to make a switch so that they are predominantly veggies/fruit instead with a side of carb and protein instead of the other way around. Some days I feel like a rock star with that, and then others not so much.
I also want to start getting up at 5:30 to work on stretches and strength building for 30-45 minutes a day. Didn't work today because dh turned off my alarm, but I'll try to set myself up better tomorrow. We all need to get up earlier once school starts so I'm hoping I can make that happen.
I need some easy kid friendly vegetarian meal ideas -- suggestions? Ds best friend is vegetarian and we eat the same things when he's over. I need to get better at offering more vegetarian options for ds too because that is his goal.

Mexican food is easy to make vegetarian. Vegetarian refried beans on a whole wheat tortilla with all of the toppings is good and filling. My family really likes this recipe as well: www.melskitchencafe.com/black-bean-and-sweet-potato-burritos/May be too carb heavy for your son? I don't know how all of that works... I also really like black bean burgers.

Thank you both! I'll check those out! Ds bff's (vegetarian) mom texted me last night that bff loved the bean and cheese burritos I made them. Which is hysterical because ds ate them but wasn't a huge fan and dd thought I was trying to poison her. Hopefully I can tweak them a bit to get ds to like them more at least and come up with a similar option that dd likes.
I saw my doctor today and am meeting with her new nutritionist tomorrow. She did another body composition. I've lost 9% fat in the last 15 months and not lost any lean muscle mass--but not gained any either which was a bummer. I need to lose another 5-6% to get where she wants me, and she wants me to add another 90 minutes a week of exercise--which is fine I'd like to add it in too. We talked about my gain over the last 90 days and one of her recommendations was a keto diet for 6-8 weeks. She said after that I can transfer to carb cycling. I'll talk with the nutritionist more tomorrow.
My mom's health issues are really exacerbated by her weight and it's making some difficult decisions even harder. I'm coming to terms with the fact that this is going to be an issue for me forever.

So, I've been following along but not posting. Even participating in the Stridekick challenge. Last night the button on the side of my Fitbit fell off. It's outside of the warranty period so they won't replace. I can't seem to get a Fitbit to last longer than 18 months.
