Low carb is a no go for me too. I don't have the self control.

Gym day #3 today. Half hour of weights, 20 minutes of spin before 10 minutes of stretching then an hour of zumba.
Right now I'm sitting at work with my green juice. I have no idea what lunch or dinner is going to entail yet. Yesterday I had an enormous chicken cesar salad for lunch. I wasn't hungry in the evening, so I had a cheese stick for dinner. I gave half of it to the twins who are professional beggars.

So this morning my smoothie was berry and it's pretty good. Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, a banana, vanilla whey protein powder, and almond milk. I'm going to have to do this again.

Bake sale at work is making things difficult. I did walk last night, and hit 11k steps, so not all is lost.

Gym day #4 today. I had fast food and drank a lot of soda today, so I need to work it off. I just ordered my first swimsuit in years, so I need to keep myself in check.

One of the girls from the gym wants to try boxing next week. In told her I'd go with her. She has no idea what she's in for. That class is hard. I hope she doesn't fall out.

I'm down since January 25, 2018 I was 58.3 kg or 128.53 lbs to now today May 17, 2018 54.4 kg or 119.93 lbs. I'm thinking it's the bloating that was adding the weight on, plus I'm on the mend now. I'm down some more, and I'm kinda shocked I've gotten to this point just changing my eating habits and drinking more water. I still use the Simply Fit board. I got weighed down at the hospital today and I'm currently 47.8kg or 105.38 lbs. So that's another 14.55 lbs gone!

I decided I was going to walk to work more often. It is about a mile away so that will give me a bit of a workout. I am also going to try to lower my blood pressure naturally. I have a new grandson and I would like to live long enough to see him grow up. My parents have a lot of health problems and I don't know what will be passed onto me.

I'm going to try intermittent fasting, starting today. It sounds like something I can do.

First update, I am two hours in (after I normally eat breakfast) and I'm starving. I also didn't stop eating at 8 last night, so this isn't even as bad as it will be tomorrow.

One of the reasons I thought about doing this is I hoped it would help me increase my water consumption. Off to fill up my mug!

I think this is a great way to get and stay in shape. I hope to be strong enough to walk on my own until the end, but sometimes I get pretty lazy about something relatively easy (at least easy for now).

I’m at the airport waiting on my flight. It’s delayed a little. I’m trying to use my time wisely by getting a few extra steps in. It’s not so hard to do when there are no seats left in the gate area.

I'm starting to get worried....I have been keeping my calories below 2000 for the last 8 days...which is good for me and I haven't even lost 1 pound. I know it takes a while and I am lacking in the exercise department but if I would lose just 1 pound and keep it off I would feel like it is working and motivate me more.

I found a recipe for peanut butter cup greek yogurt. Yum. You put maple syrup or honey, vanilla, peanut butter, and dark chocolate chips or chunks in greek yogurt. It is extremely better than just greek yogurt.

I know it takes a while and I am lacking in the exercise department but if I would lose just 1 pound and keep it off I would feel like it is working and motivate me more. I tried low-cal for a week a while back and kept it under about 1400 a day, which was really low for me. Didn't lose an ounce. Did low carb and lost five pounds in less than two weeks. I think, like lots of things, what works for some people doesn't work for others. Even though you would think eating less automatically means losing weight. I don't think that's always true. So maybe low-cal just won't work for you, but another type of eating plan might?

Well this week was a sh*tshow as far as my goals, so I'll keep the same ones for this coming week.
80,000 steps 1 hike if my stupid fat foot will quit swelling 3x weights
Oh, and I think I'm going to buy a step thingy; you know those platforms you step up and down on. I used to have one back in the 90's I think lol. Should have kept it!

Weekly checkin:
Goals for the week of 7/10:
-Track food: I have food entered every day, but I did a couple after the fact. Pretty good though! -Weigh self daily: Achieved! -Work out 2x: Achieved! -Plan healthier food for next week: Fail. -Under-desk bike for 1 hr each day am at work: Was at work 3.5 days last week, cycled 3 days. So... a solid B?
This week is going to be crazy - I'm shipping kids off to my parents then DH and I are going to Hawaii. So, goals for week: - Track food every day. Yes even on vacation. -Weigh self until leave. Pretty sure there's no scale in Hawaii. That's my story, I'm sticking to it. -Work out 1x this week before leaving for Hawaii. Once in Hawaii, swim or hike every day. -Continue 1 hr under desk biking through leaving for Hawaii.

Gym day #1! Who's with me? I have 2 hours of jiu jitsu tonight so I think you can count me in. I'm tired tonight which almost guarantees we'll do groundwork or something equally awful.

I'm going to try intermittent fasting, starting today. It sounds like something I can do. chen - my DH (and me, too, sometimes...) have been doing this for about a month now, along with eating healthier. DH ate out for lunch almost every workday - pizza, fast food, etc. He started packing chicken and rice for lunch, or getting a salad. We don't have breakfast anymore because of the fasting (our eating hours are 10-6) and we don't snack at night now. I've dropped 2 pounds (I really don't have any to lose, though if I want to get back to my weight before kids, I would be happy to lose 4 more). But my DH has dropped 22 pounds (he needs to lose 50, I would like him to lose more, but he's a pretty big-boned, broad guy so I don't know if that's realistic). It's really helped him because once it turns 6, he doesn't eat and that has probably cut 700 calories/day off of his diet with the loss of breakfast and chips/ice cream/whatever after dinner.

I went to boxing last night and I'm sore now. I need to start going more often so I'm not as sore when I do go. I thought I was covering all my muscles that needed to be worked. I guess not.
