I am on day 3 of my fitness challenge. Desperately missing honey in my tea and my dark chocolate, other than that, I am fine. 3 days down... 39 to go!
Saw my chiro yesterday and had a really rough adjustment, but my knee is so much better! Feeling like I should be back in the game tomorrow. Yay!

Have you tried meal prep? Myself, I cannot eat too much in one sitting. It makes me feel too full and too bloated. So I eat smaller portions every 2 hours. Over time my hunger automatically went down. What you see above is probably 80% of what I usually eat. But thats because I ate way too much over the weekend and just did not feel like eating yesterday. Normally the above would include an oatmeal bowl for breakfast and some sort of fruit for dinner. I do meal prep, but there is too much temptation at work. And at home. Basically I have no willpower, lol. Last night I got home and was starving so started snacking before I was finished heating up my soup. Today I had some oatmeal with pb and flaxseed for breakfast and I just had lunch. It was a lot, relatively speaking. I do need to get back to grazing rather than large meals but it's hard, especially at home. I, too, have no will power. If I see it, I eat it. I'm ridiculous.

I am eating terribly, but not much of it, so that's how I am currently maintaining I guess. Work was crappy today and I didn't plan ahead well, so I didn't have anything to eat until 2p when I grabbed 2 mc chickens. Time to go grocery shopping to get better options.

Is it really Thursday already? Every work week should start on Tuesday I have a doctor's appointment after work today, which means I likely won't get a workout in. It was too dang cold to get up this morning, plus I worked out last night, so I wasn't feeling an early morning workout. Keep up the good work, ladies!

It's just around the corner from the place we went to dinner at. I'm there Monday through Thursday, so I'll be there whenever you want to go after work. No pressure.

Breakfast: 1/4 cup of mixed nuts, 1 cup of coffee
Lunch: 1 big bowl of lentil-vegetable soup, 1 Chobani flip yogurt Snack: None Dinner: Went to Zoe's Kitchen. Had their (cauliflower rice)-chicken-cucumber-feta power bowl. YUM!!

You know those Chobani flips are probably giving you a huge jolt of calories, right? It's probably perfectly fine, since you seem to barely consume them elsewhere. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that. (My DH loves them.)

Yogurt kind of annoys me because it's seen as this super healthy food but it's super high in sugar. Even plain yogurt has a decent amount of sugar. I will have it from time to time, but I feel like if I'm gonna have a bunch of sugar I might as well have something that tastes better. Having said that, I may have to invest in some little yogurts for "dessert".

We stock our fridge with yogurt and have that as "dessert" at night sometimes. We'd do it more, but DH grocery shops and half the time forgets the yogurt. Or gets boring flavors that I don't actually like (or want to eat). While I do try to buy brands with less sugar, I never really look at them as a "health" food. But it sure is healthier than a lot of things I could be eating!

Having said that, I may have to invest in some little yogurts for "dessert". The Oikos Zero yogurts are good (I believe that's what they are called). Some of the sugar is from the lactose which can't really be avoided. But no added sugar is really the goal there.

I do plain Greek yogurt and add a teaspoon of natural peanut butter for breakfast sometimes. Satiating and not an ass ton of sugar. I also like Siggi's Icelandic yogurt for my snack yogurt. Strawberry rhubarb is the bomb!

Anyone wanting to join the step challenge... the app is Stridekick and it syncs with fitbit and other devices. Once you sign up.for Stridekick, pm me your username. I would love to join but it won't let me send you a message. I made my Stridekick name atlantapenny for consistency. And in general, I am hoping to become more active and would love to lose 20 pounds or more. At my physical a year ago my primary care doc said he could tell I don't exercise (he was kind of right...) due to my heart rate. So am hoping to become active enough that he can tell I've done something...

I used to top that with some homemade granola and it kept me going all morning. Man I miss dairy.

Strawberry rhubarb is the bomb! Have you tried flavored kefir that is made into yogurt with really creamy consistency - my farmer's market has a ginger flavor that is out of this world. They have so many flavors that it takes a long time to decide which one to buy.

Starting low-carbing again after some WTH holidays, in which I did a lot of baking for my on-the-side business. After losing so much weight last year I'm not going back to where I was. My primary resolution is to maintain a good size for my new clothes. Exercise is mostly mileage while walking dog. Problem right now - it's crazy cold - but that will pass.
Happy 2018.

I'm right there with you. I worked really hard to lose weight only to gain some back with the holidays. No I have to buckle down and get back in shape. No excuses. I've started adding a little bit to my workouts and watching my diet a bit better. Hopefully I can get back to where I need to be soon.

The under desk cycle recommended by oped arrived this morning. In roughly 90 minutes I cycled 25 miles (at level 1 - no resistance). It felt really easy but when I stood up my legs were like jelly! I hope that's a good sign.

So, I ended last year about the same place as I started. I debated on not even bothering checking in to the new thread since I still don't really feel motivated. At least you will all have someone you're doing better than right?

I don't feel very motivated yet, either. Too freaking cold. It was 1 degrees out this morning--Fahrenheit! It was 9 out just a little while ago when I was shoveling, and actually didn't feel too bad, but still. I just want to hang out under the covers until it gets above freezing, at least. That should be Monday. I think January is the worst time to start something new.

re: yogurt - when I was a kid we made frozen popsicles with yogurt (occasionally throwing in fresh fruit) and I remember they were SO good. I'm off dairy right now but might have to try those again in the summer.
yesterday I decided not to go to the gym. I had 4 hours of calls, a 2 hour break, then 4 more hours of calls. During the break I ate lunch and then went for a walk in the park, after the last calls I was so exhausted I went to bed. Workout tonight in the afternoon and I'm still on track with Whole30.
