It's not so much my DH feeds me (though he does 99% of the cooking) as it is he wants a real meal for every meal he wants to eat. And he wants me to eat with him. If I don't, he gets hurt and offended. Come on, man, I work outside the home and eat lunch regularly, so no I don't want the worlds largest thanksgiving style dinner every night. He works from home and can get by on a protein bar for breakfast and half a PB sandwich for lunch. Then he's STARVING for dinner and wants me to keep up with him.
It really requires self-discipline on my part to not gorge with him. But I've been doing better recently. I've also gotten him to agree to eating dinner at 6:30/7 instead of the second I get home at 5 which makes a difference for me. And I've learned to tell him the second I decide i'm going out to lunch that we need to have a smaller dinner. That way he's prepared for grilled cheese and soup instead of ribs, beans, veggies, and potatoes. Just typing that is giving me a stomach ache, haha.

Does anyone have any simple yoga videos that they can share - nothing too complicated. I have become very stiff all of a sudden and need to start yoga again. I need it for my lower back, hips and legs - basically the bottom part of the body. Thanks

Great job ners!
Knee Deep in Water Chloe, low carb isn't any more pleasant than low cal, but at least you don't go hungry. I'll basically subsist on meat, eggs, cheese, chicken Caesar salads, and a few veggies. Not a lot of variety, but it's filling.
Down 1.4 pounds total

Thanks flutterby. Not sure if I could go low carb. I should but do not think I could go low carb. Monday carbs 170 Tuesday carbs 187 Same! I did it once years ago and weight started flying off, but I would have killed for some bread. Plus, who wants to live in a world without pizza? I try and eat as healthy as I can and as clean as possible and workout a lot. I still have days where I fall off the wagon, but I don't stress too much about it.

Went to boxing yesterday and now I'm hurting. Trying to figure out what exercises are making me hurt so I know what to start incorporating more of. I also did 200 squats before I left the house to go to the gym, but I do squats all the time, so doubt that's it. Tonight is weights and then spin. Tomorrow I'm trying a HIIT class for the first time. I hope it doesn't kill me.

I've been so good today that I get to have two whole cups of butter-drenched popcorn tonight. I'm ridiculously excited about it!

You guys have inspired me to at least LOOK at the # of carbs I'm eating. Yesterday it was 127. Today will likely be the same. No way can I get down to 22. That's super impressive flutterby! But I could probably figure out how to get down to 100, and cutting anything would likely help.

Thursday 6/7: 12 carbs!! And I'm quite aware eating like this isn't healthy. But it's not going to kill me for a week or two. Except, how long does it take to develop scurvy?

Well shockingly, even though we had hotdogs and beans last night, I still came in at 170 carbs yesterday. Not fabulous, but I really thought I'd be way above 200. Also, I recognize that going up 170 is the OPPOSITE of getting down closer to 100 And it's making realize that even if 100 carbs a day during the work week is my goal, it's likely unrealistic. But I like counting it for right now, so I'll keep trying.

For low carb, you subtract the grams of fiber from the total carb count. The result is what your body actually uses.
I have found I get good results losing weight at 50 g or under. I eat fruit, mostly berries and apple; all vegetables except corn, and a limited amount of whole grain crackers or one tortilla or piece of bread or sweet potato. Lots of chicken, meats, eggs, cheese, nuts. And I make custard, cheesecake using Truvia instead of sugar so DH can get his sweet fix in without going off the reservation.

I'm too lazy to subtract the fiber, so I just go straight carb count. And I agree, at least for me, staying under 50g/day is pretty easy and allows a lot more variety, including a little bread and fruit. But I also tend to crave crunchy/salty instead of sweet, so that's usually lower carb stuff anyway. This time, since I'm just aiming for a few pounds, I'm being really strict.
Friday 6/8: 16g carbs down 2.5 pounds total

Monday 6/4 1250 cal 170 carbs
Tuesday 6/5 1383 cal 187 carbs
Wednesday 6/6 1318 cal 191 carbs
Thursday 6/7 1437 cal 213 carbs
Friday 6/8 2196 cal 238 carbs
Not sure what to do today. I ate out for all three meals. What ever I enter will be a guess on quantity. I know I over ate.

I don't have enough self control to do low carb. And I don't have enough self-motivation to go to the gym like you do. I'm constantly impressed with your workouts!
