MIA here. Still in the step challenge, if being in the challenge and getting last place counts Life is crazy as I am sure it is for everyone else too. I did figure out that I can get 10k steps working on a sleeping mat There's been a lot of interest in the mats lately and Ive been doing a few classes and getting to work on them more often. We all had the flu the other week, so while I am down I don't know that it will stay that way. At least I am not gaining.

February has been fairly disastrous in the "improvement sense". I have maintained, so that's better than the opposite direction. I've mentally gotten to a place in which I'm able to curb my overeating. Time for me to figure out my March goals.

I wondered where you this month, Knee Deep in Water Chloe ! I couldn’t figure out how I kept coming in first. February has been a lazy month around here. Yeah, ok, I’ve gotten some steps in, but not anywhere near my goal. All I’ve wanted to do is sleep/sit around. I’ve forced myself to not do that every time the urge strikes, but it’s been rough. Also, I completely over did the gym this weekend. I decided I should make up for all my laziness all at once. My legs are unhappy with that plan

I did my leg stretches last night and I have a long way to go to regain those muscles. I'm doing better with steps and water. It's a step in the right direction.

I got both my EZ Shaper and Simply Fit packages in the mail this morning. andi9899, you can use a thin yoga mat instead of the rubber mat. It stinks so I got it outside right now. I'm starting the 21 day Simply Fit challenge on March 1! I gotta practice though on it, lol

Well I can definitely do it, I was just practising on it, and it's doable for me. Standing straight and tall seems to move the board better and keep it on the yoga mat. I gotta use up these last two days of February just trying it out and getting into the swing of things.

One of the girls at work started working out with me. You'd think she was going to die. She did 15 minutes of spin before she bailed. She did do zumba class, but she wasn't really pushing hard. I've been talking a little crap to her so far today. Not too much because she is new to working out and can't be expected to keep up with me yet.

You gotta keep at it and keep practising, I just tried the Simply Fit for the third time, and I went longer and stronger than the first time. I'm already building up myself. The first time I needed to hold on to something, I didn't need to hold on the second time and definitely not the third time.

I used to get tired out halfway through my first workout. Now I do all 3 in a row, and have more energy at the end. If I skip too many days, it tires me out, though. Just gotta build up the endurance with consistency.

Yes practise and consistency is what's needed. I can go a good couple minutes now on the Simply Fit Board. I find it's a lot of fun.

andi9899, I have two yoga mats and only one is good with the Simply Fit. BUT I do find that the mat for the Simply Fit is the best, cause the board just glides over it and you get more of a workout just trying to stay on the board. If you can wing it, get the mat as well.

Has anyone done the 7-minute workout? I'm thinking that could work for me to at least get back to strength. I do regularly (daily) walk for 45 minutes to an hour. But this could help with the rest of my haplessly aging body. I think it would be a good addition, and it can always be built upon! Is it the one developed by the American College of Sports Medicine? I like that one. I like to create my own playlist of short (5-10 min) workout videos (blogilates is great for this, also YouTube). I can do one short video if i have no time, or I can keep going and vary my home workouts. I have my go to long videos, but changing it up with short workouts is fun.

I have a wedding next weekend (March 10) so my game plan for the next 10 days is limit the beer and bloating! I need to look good in my dress! I've been doing my mat exercises at home, weather was great yesterday so hubs and I went for a 35 minute walk, and today I will probably walk again after work. Or at least do mat work. Dinner has involved salad all week. I even skipped going out for beers after the borough council meeting last night. Friday and Saturday will involve beer, but I am accounting for that. Nothing to drink after this Sunday!

Cookies Galore is right; it was developed and recently updated by sports medicine. The idea is very high intensity total body excercising using only a chair in 7 minutes. It's really rough, but then you're done. It is available on an app.
