I was driving with the kids last night and they asked me to put on some rock music. I did, but I really really don't like rock. Or jazz. I tried liking it years ago (for reasons I won't mention) but never could get into it.
I also really tried liking yoga, but it's just not for me at all!
Wine is another thing I wish I liked. Especially when I was in France.
What about you?

Snow skiing. I could only go down hills so many times head first before I decided it just wasn't for me.

Beer, mushrooms, olives, sushi.
Not patient enough for yoga (which probably means I really need it!). I have tried it numerous times and just can’t get into it.

Coffee. It's free at work and apparently the "good stuff", but I prefer my Diet Pepsi.

Fitting into or agreeing with either of the two major political parties. Donald. Hillary.
PTA at my kids' school
Housework
"Memoirs of a Geisha" , "Eat, Pray, Love"
Facebook
Any reality TV talent show - American Idol, America's Got Talent, the Voice, etc. (not patient enough. If they were to condense the same content into a 30 minute show, I might be able to live through it.)

Coffee Tea Football Modern Family TV Show (I have tried but just don't like it very much) Apples (I like applesauce but not apples) Bourbon (seems to be the drink of choice by most of my board members and I absolutely hate it) Facebook and other social media I do love yoga though, which everyone else on this board seems to hate

Count me as someone who has done yoga. It's not my favorite, but it is an OK workout, I really am not comfortable with the meditation at the end though.
I don't care for sushi.
Can't stand country Music.
Football, Baseball, Basketball. If someone gives us tickets I go, but I probably won't pay too much attention to the game.
I also don't care to watch Fights. If my family orders the fights, I will only be present if there are women there I feel I need to entertain...like when DH invited the neighbors. Last fight the guys had on, My SIL came, I figured she could just watch with the guys, and I never bothered to go downstairs.
No coffee for me either.
The Walking Dead.

Mushrooms and asparagus.
Kid concerts, even when it's my own.

I try oatmeal every few years to see if I can force myself to like it. Hasn't happened yet.
Same with V8 tomato juice.

.... Kid concerts, even when it's my own. Oh God, yes. Pretty much any school based performance is plain old torture. Also - school graduation ceremonies. Why, oh why does there need to be a long, formal shindig after every single grade? It's bad enough that the High School graduation ceremonies now require you to pack a lunch and maybe a sleeping bag, but does the 8th grade graduation also have to be 3+ hours long?

Yogurt
Kale
mushrooms
Life of Pi
DaVinci Code
Fitting in with other human beings.
Alcohol. I like a mixed drink every once and awhile but making it a part of every social gathering holds absolutely no appeal for me. It makes it hard for DH and I to socialize because drinking seems to be "THE" thing for people our age.

Broccoli...really I did try

Sushi, kale, Thai food (well except for Pad Thai), mushrooms, eggplant, running. I just can't get into running. Shopping - I used to love to shop, bur now I buy online when I can and if I need to hit the stores, I get what I need and get out.

There aren't many things I've tried to like but haven't. There are plenty of things I don't like, including a few that have already been listed (sports, mushrooms), but I don't care enough about liking them to put any effort into it. I did reluctantly attend a few of those home sales parties before swearing them off for good, so maybe that counts.

Being pregnant. I am honestly surprised I didn't punch someone after the umpteenth time of being asked "Don't you just LOVE being pregnant?"

Starbucks. I don't really drink coffee but the few times I've tried a coffee drink there it always tastes like burnt rubber. And their tea is almost undrinkable - really bad. I drink 4-6 cups of various teas a day so know what decent tea tastes like and that is not it. My theory is that they are brewing their tea with the same temp water as their coffee ( just under boiling), which is way too hot for green and herbal tea.

Baseball.
10 minutes of action pressed into 3 hours.
DH tries to tell me that there is all kinds of strategy going on at all times and it's an exciting game.
No, no it's not.
I go to keep him company, eat a brat and drink some craft brew. Last time, I actually listened to an Audible book on my Ipod.

....
I'm going to Mom Hell for this but when he was 6, my youngest son asked if he could join a team and play baseball after school. I didn't even hesitate or try to soften the blow, the reply was a flat, "No." No further discussion. To be fair, it's really rare for me not to be supportive of whatever weird thing my kids want to try. But I know my limits. First, this is a kid with ZERO hand/eye coordination. You could literally underhand slow pitch a nerf ball at him and it would bounce off his forehead without him even blinking. Plus, this is Florida and the idea of sitting through each 2 hour practice in the blazing sun with nothing interesting to watch and a kid who was destined for the way, way, beyond outfield was more than I could give.
