CBS News reported that 108000 people signed a petition. How does this indicate that CBS is biased?

CBS News reported that 108000 people signed a petition. How does this indicate that CBS is biased? I think the issue is simply reporting about this petition. It is an attempt to distract from other more important petitions on change.org. For example: Give Spiders All the Help They Need to Eat Every Human on Earth Within One YearIt's reported today by the Washington Post that spiders could eat every human on earth within one year. While we, the undersigned, are certain the spiders are doing the best they can, it's clear that they could use some help. We call on the United States government to utilize whatever resources it deems necessary and effective to help the spiders in their noble cause.

When does the semester end? Typically May or early June. The article states it costs NYPD between $127,000 and $146,000 a day to protect mrs. trump and her son while her husband is out of town. So let's use an average of $136,500 per day to protect mother and son until the end of May (end of school year). Including today, tomorrow and Friday, along with the 30 days of April and the 31 days of May, that equals 64 days. At #136,500 per day and for 64 days, that comes out to $8,736,000 to protect the two of them. Add in another 15 days if the school years ends mid June, that would cost tax payers another $2,047,500. For a grand total of $10,783,500, give or take a few dollars. Add in protecting the president at the White House and at Mar-a-lago where he seems to spend his weekends, that comes up to a lot of money protecting three residences. I don't begrudge mrs. trump wanting to stay in NYC until the end of the school year, her decision. But it is costing the taxpayers of this country a lot of money to protect so many places when trump himself he wants to save American tax payers money. trump should chip in some of his own money to protect his family. He paid for his own and his family's protection before, he can do it again.

How is this fake news? If the Trumps want extra protection for Melania, they should pay for it themselves. That's what the petition is about. What's fake about it? In any case, what's your beef? There were plenty of "hit pieces" about the Obamas from "news sources" like Fox and Breitbart. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, you're going to get butt hurt?

This is your evidence of the vast left-wing conspiracy? This Okey dokey then. Looks like a normal article to me. I'd sign the petition if it showed up under my pen. I agree with this person in the article-
“Living in the White House is what you do when you are married to the president,” one commenter identified as Sheila Forsyth of Newport, Rhode Island, wrote. “The tax money saved by eliminating these extra protection expenses can be used to feed senior citizens. Why is our tax money being spent on people who already have more than their fair share?”

But as it is now, he's showing he's for himself, not the people. He has a wife and son not living in the WH which is highly unusual and he's compounded the issue by going off to FL to his residence there almost every weekend.

As for bias: I have noticed that many news articles about Trump use unflattering photographs of him.

Does CBS own MSN? How is the title related to an MSN article? I was wondering that too. However, VB does have a point in that MSN, CBS, ABC, Yahoo, NBC, AOL, FOX, and their ten million affiliates are all reporting on the petition (did I miss any?), hence the thread title is fungible in that regard.

ROTFLMAO! Trump, giving a damn about senior citizens? He already gutted federal finding for Meals on Wheels. He doesn't care if they eat, and doesn't care if their entire pension goes towards health care. So there's no money left to eat. The only senior citizen he cares about is Donald J. Trump.

I'm fine with them staying in NY until school is finished. And the bill is not so huge. It seems a reasonable thing for a family to do with a job change.
This should not be conflated with trumps other excessive security tabs, which are likely to become problematic based on current trends.

No, but I continue to try to point out to opposing posters of the idiocy levels the msm press goes yo. This is a non-issue because it has been announced that Melania and their child will move to the WH at the end of the school year, and yet msm continues to post stupid petitions as if they will accomplish anything. Why would CBS not clarify that as od last week it was announced they were moving to the White House? Because they continue in their attacks against a duly elected President that they cannot control to do their agenda goals. Am I surprised by the usual put downs from the same posters on the issues? No.

Does CBS own MSN? How is the title related to an MSN article? If one opened the link, on the top left side it lists CBS as the provider of the article. MSN only copied the article and gave credit for the source. And please notice, this time, msn did not use the qualifyer that they did not agree or disagree with the article, or the originator of the article as they usually do, but to their credit, this was not an opinion piece, just a hit piece of crap which they obviously agreed with. CBS does not own MSN
