On Facebook I follow a canine personality named Tavi. Tavi tells his stories from his point of view (with the help of his human typing for him). In the post below are pictures of Tavi and his new 'brother' named Uhtey. Uhtey is about 14-15 months old now. His humans adopted him after their other two dogs (other picture with Tavi in the middle) passed away almost at the same time due to old age. Tavi's calls the two now gone dogs, Here But Not Here doggies. Tavi's Pack are his home dogs, his humans (at home and extended family) and their dogs too. If interested in following Tavi on Facebook, here is a link to his home page: www.facebook.com/TaviTailTavi's message below is about remembering his and our Here But Not Here doggies (and other pets). Tavi Tails
There are special places, probably different for every Pack. In these places, you can feel your Here But Not Here doggies a little better, a little closer, and a little more. It is not that you cannot feel them in other places - they are always there, if you stop and pay attention - but in the Special Places, you do not need to stop and pay attention. Your Here But Not Here doggies will surround you, so close you can almost smell them, so close you can feel them touch you. If you have a sad heart, go to those places, the ones that matter most to your Pack. You may still be sad, but your Here But Not Here doggies will be there, sharing that Sad, and healing your heart. Love, Tavi

I think I might have posted this picture before. Not sure. I saw it a while back on Facebook and it has resurfaced again. Fun wedding photo. The bride's dog at her wedding.

www.msn.com/en-us/news/offbeat/94-year-old-man-s-morning-routine-leaves-people-in-tears/ar-AA1iIyfz?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=2d62c7d084d34bccb2422cedb5bdacce&ei=13When Kimberly Hanberry Shelton shared a sweet video of her 94-year-old neighbor's morning ritual, she hardly expected to get such an overwhelming response. Shelton took to TikTok under the handle @kimberlyhanberry to share a clip of her elderly neighbor peering over their fence to greet her two golden retrievers, Charlie and Doug. The South Carolina woman kept her camera rolling from afar as she observed the man patiently wait for the dogs to come over to him, just as he does every morning. In the video's caption, she fondly refers to her kind neighbor as "Mr. Bill." Mr. Bill has made a habit out of visiting the two pups every day and gleefully gives them dog treats. Of course, the canines are just as excited to see Mr. Bill as he is happy to see them. In the brief clip, both dogs scurry right over to Mr. Bill as he gently tosses treats into their mouths. “This is Mr. Bill. He is our 94-year-old backyard neighbor,” Shelton wrote in the video’s text overlay. She described how Mr. Bill and her dogs have a unique bond, saying, “He loves the boys and the boys love him.” The TikToker explained that Mr. Bill normally visits the pups daily, but the recent weather had put a damper on their meetups.

"""The Sofa Hound"" Developed through a careful breeding program in the mid 20th Century, and only recently recognized by the AKC, the Sofa Hound's calm demeanor can be misleading, as the breed can display lightning speed reactions to the sound of an opening refrigerator door."

My GSP loves to chase tennis balls, and does so with intense passion and focus. I shot a deer a few days ago on my property, and field dressed it, leaving the gut pile for the critters to consume.
Fast forward to yesterday. I'm now heading west on a hunting trip, and my wife is taking care of the dog. She decided to take the dog out while she worked in the yard yesterday. This is the text she sent me:
"Your damn dog likes to play ball so much that he brought me the balls off your buck to play fetch with" 😅
She said he was very proud of his find...

Kind of a yuck for me Tractor, but not surprising given the breeds of dogs you like. How is your dog doing? Are you still down to one dog?

I'm going to stay with one for now, even thinking about switching breeds next time (mines a neurotic mess), but just met the sweetest 2-year old GSP yesterday and now have puppy fever again...

If you belong to Facebook, may I recommend you follow Good Boy Ollie. During Christmas he and his human(s) doing something which is part of Ollie's Advent Calendar. Ollie is also on YouTube (which is where I got the below video from) but much fewer videos of Ollie there. Also, on day 25 of Ollie's Advent Calendar last year he got a puppy who is named Tato (for Potato).
This video was day One of last year's Advent Calendar:
