I need to do planks and other floor exercises. I just have trouble finding the motivation.

I started with 20 seconds, and I'll build up from that. My goal is do the plank exercise as much as I feel I want to do it in a day. Basically if I hear a song that I like on the radio I get up and do the plank exercise. Whatever gets me out of this chair, looking at a computer screen.

Yes, I'm up to 50 seconds now and I can already feel the strength building up. This is my exercise, it works for me.

I love planks. I don’t know why I don’t do them anymore.
Had a great hike today. About four miles. Pretty steep, plus it’s humid, which caused more sweating than I intended. 😆

Tweaked my back (Again!!!) somehow on Friday... while drinking wine at an amazing craft fair. Yesterday I worked on it... and rested. Still stiff but a bit better today.
Roasting veggies this morning. A sheetpan of potato and butternut squash is done, parsnips and carrots are in the oven. Have some cucumbers ready to slice for my hummus. Gotta get the eating better... that keeps tripping me up! So if i can knock it out on sunday... I can get through the week without a hickup... right???

Started planks tonight... 20 seconds hahaha
Managed 11,000 steps despite my back still being stiff. Lots of stretching, hopefully it will be feeling even better tomorrow.

Weekly check in hit step goal. Hit exercise goal. We will not talk about eating choices or the scale.
This week step goal 75000 steps, 30 minutes of strength building, and make conscious effort to drink water.
Have a great week every and keep up the good work.

Hitting my step goal consistently while DH and I are in Vegas. Eating, however has been terrible. Like off the charts terrible. Today is a new day, so hoping for the best.

Those of you doing planks--are you doing them on your hands, or your elbows? Just curious.

Eating has been so-so, still down a pound at WW last Thursday though luckily. Hit my step goal yesterday artificially, I forgot to take the fitbit off during orchestra. steps probably won't be great this week but I'm mostly over the sugar craving/crash of Halloween so I think I feel better about the food for now.

I stepped on the scale out of curiosity this morning... up 2 pounds. Just stop stepping on the scale for a while, sarcastic girl! I am going to try and ditch it for a month and go by how my clothes fit, how I feel... and increased stamina.

I actually read somewhere that people are more successful with maintaining/losing weight if they weigh themselves every day. It's easier to adjust when you get immediate feedback, and sometimes know that it's just water weight, or whatever.

my activity levels have been okay, but my eating is still terrible. I went back on sugar this weekend... HARD. It's bad. I had a coffee w/ 2 Sweet n Lows this morning but otherwise pretty low/no sugar today so far (the peanut butter had a little bit). Oh wait, plain yogurt has sugar too! Well I'm screwed. I've been getting stomach aches and pains in my lower left side for several days. And I'm getting tired crazy fast at night. I'm sure a lot of that is diet related, but as I'm pretty broke and my Thai Food source has been gone for 2ish months, food is like one of the last pleasures I have right now. It sucks.

Holy Batman! Flamingo’s step count yesterday is phenomenal!!! Vegas-land of no direct path to anywhere close. Haha. Also, I thought it was a good idea to run a Rock and Roll Las Vegas race yesterday. The dehydration I’m feeling today makes me fully regret every step of that. But dear God, it’s only 10:45am and I’m at 8300 already! Don’t worry, Wednesday is my travel day home and I figure between the 5 hours on the airplane and the car ride, ill be at the bottom of the step board that day. You can surge ahead again then 😉

Another elbow planker here.
We had my work prom on Saturday. High heels, dancing, and hip issues don't mix! I was super hurty yesterday. Ugh. Also ate a pile of food at a 1st birthday party.
I'm making a kale and beet salad for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. I need a detox meal or 10.

It's easier to adjust when you get immediate feedback, and sometimes know that it's just water weight, or whatever. well, I have been watching my food and increasing my activity and I am up 3 pounds. If i went by that... I'd stop. It depends on the person... some people function better with weighing every day. some people can step on the scale and be up 1 pound and get completely derailed. There isn't 1 way that is best for all... Just have to find what works for you. I generally don't have a problem getting on the scale because I know my weight fluctuates a lot. And honestly... i DGAF what the scale says. the only person that see that number is me and my Dr. I care more about how i feel, and how my clothes feel. Every now and then i get annoyed with the scale not moving but can laugh it off. Honestly, in my journey... the times where I have shrunk the most in inches, the scale hasn't budged or it increased a little.

I just done a 50 second plank and it felt good, so maybe next hour I'll graduate to a minute.
